What is it?
MakoCraft is a vanilla whitelisted survival minecraft server similar to Mindcrack. The goal is for all players to live as a community and have fun together. More then a year ago, we started the server with several members. Of those, most have left, and once again we are looking for new members, and resetting to a fresh world for the 1.7 update. If you are unable to be mature and considerate, this is not for you. Also, skype is a neccesity because we want a way to contact everyone at once and have discussions and calls.
Builds: We have already built many great things on the server and many more are to come! These include: Players bases, The nether hub, The end farm, Spawn city, Etc. and are shown in this album BUT note that we are resetting these and are starting from scratch!

Hosting details:
The server is up 24/7 and is hosted on a paid server, so there should be no downtime. If there is, please report it to an admin.
Rules:
First and foremost: Be mature! Acting like a 3 year old ruins everyones day, and if everyone agrees, we will remove a member if they're a pain in the ass
No griefing, stealing, or ruining someone elses property
Pranks are allowed, but they must be within reason and you must leave a sign or else it will be considered griefing. Be responsible!
Don't be a jerk! if you have a problem, come to the server owners.
No X-Ray texture packs or unfair client mods! Cheating will not be tolerated.
Be considerate, take some crops from someone? Replant.
How can you join?
To join, simply fill out this simple application. Keep in mind that the goal of the server is to have fun and live together, not to steal or grief. If this is not your primary aim, then you are not fit for the server.
We will send you the IP if you are approved. We will be starting up the server within a week of now, but be patient. If you don't receive an invite, don't bother PMing, either we are full, or are still getting to you.

I think it's more about the idea of them having a stable then having them actually ride them, although, that is a hilarious mental picture :-)

First thing: I think it would be amazing if as well as having horses as rare spawns (i believe only in plains biomes) there would also be a feature where NPC villages would have a chance of having a stable. This would have a nice, simple, roof, with haybales for the horses, fences that the horses can be lashed to, and a chest with wheat and carrots in it, with a rare chance of horse saddles or horse armor. Each stable would spawn 1-2 horses.
Secondly, Crafting recipes! Haybales should be crafted with a 2x2 or 3x3 square of wheat (and should feed horses.) Carpets should be crafted like slabs with 3 wool in a row rather then 2, and should make 6 or 16 carpet blocks rather then 1, since currently it takes 2 wool blocks to make a single carpet, which is ridiculous considering their thin size.
More on carpets: When there is only a 1 block drop from one carpet to the next, they will connect similairly to how rails connect diagonally up or better grass from mcpatcher or optifine. (image of better grass)
