hmm okay, i just checked inside the 2.3 version of Dynmap mod.. i see that it has support for carpenter mod, but you say it doesn't support.. that suggest the renderdata is outdated because the version is carpenter mod is updated to latest version (my best guess).. and i dont see that it have any chisel 2 mod support..
I would love to see this mod got a proper release. So I would suggest to prioritize the things absolutely urgent for releasing. More and more people start playing modded Minecraft 1.10, it would be a shame if that was a reason this mod would not get the attention it deserves.
if you are talking about erosion system.. like rocks, metals and other types.. I have checked out BetterGeo for 1.7.10. but there is another mod called "minecraft mineralogy" for 1.10.2 and its quite good one.. it has lot of types from rocks to metals.. you could see them on layer from bedrock to surface.. like what you would see a picture with earth's side (layer by layer) well its similar ideal.. it look nice. i hope you know what i am saying.
and also there is a mod called "stream"... it make a realistic river (where the water will flow all the way down) its a generation to change the system of few rivers with that mod (not every river)
both are quite realistic mod.. but it would nice to see this mod would go with these 2 mods.. making the game so fun! but i know it will take a lot of works to improve finite fluid mod and give it a full properly release
3.0.2.3 is out, and it fixes the ingot drops, you can now de-stack the ingots with shift-right click. Thanks for reminding me
no problem and there is no need to apologize for such a bug... i am just reporting it.. so you can make your mod a better mod.. well bug-less mod.. if you know what i mean.
and i will check the latest out... i will let you know if i find any bugs. and oh yes.. about the resource pack.. i guess i will figure it out.
The ingot stacking issue has been solved as of 3.0.2.2. Thanks for telling us Kluckart.
Excellent..
and no problem. i am glad to see that issue got fixed. and i will get the latest version!
about time i got to have fun with organizing my stuff in my house! >:D
EDIT: i forgot to ask a question.. can you make the mod to be able to use the 3D resource pack that i am using.. maybe using it to replace the current pack that mod has its own?
I'd love that too (so much, imagine building tnt cannons ) but knowing the way this mod works and how unreliable replication over the internet could be (for multiplayer servers) I know it's quite a difficult thing to achieve. Seeing as seats are already a thing and they have to be attached to the ship I figured it's more trivial to warp between them
i see. i know having such a feature (where you can walk around the ship while its active or you are sailing) is quite possible. I am sure it could take a lot of hard work and times to make it possible on this mod.. but its up to author who made this and also update this mod in whatever way he like.
well.. there is nothing we can do about that. and it would nice if Mojang could have implemented such a feature in the minecraft and also this mod. it would be so fun.. but its just a dream.
I can't wait for the new version of this! Just started a 1.10.2 server, had this running on a 1.7.10 back in the day so really looking forward to seeing what's changed Do you have any idea of an eta?
Keep up the good work, and keep those updates coming!
p.s If I had one suggestion, it would be to allow users to switch seats while the ship is active. Tbf though, that could be something that's been implemented since I last tried it
there is one thing i do prefer.. is where you can walk around the ship while the ship is active. its a lot fun than you think.. the author make it possible, then that mean we can put animals on the ship and we can also walk around the ship... no problem. thats the fun part. and you can sail the ship forward in any direction and you can walk around even climb up the ladder to get the "lookout" position. (i dont know what is it called, but u know where)
Alright. I have got my result.. it is as i suspected. This should give you a good clue to look in.
i created a 2000x2000 world with RTG and Without RTG with the same seed. So the map showing these land should be very similar. It doesn't matter if i included the BOP, because it will show the same result as a default world or a vanilla world (without BOP). it was RTG that cause a bug when you used a dynmap to render a map of these land.. and there are black spots.. but without RTG, there is no black spots.. none.. so here is the screen below:
This is the world without RTG:
as you can see there is no black spots.. so here's the world With RTG:
you should notice there are black spots.. huge one that are not even rendered by dynmap in a properly way which is due to RTG. and also note: these map are fully rendered by dynmap.
WhichOnesPink, i am sure this may be related to RTG's poor performance with server. I hope this should help you solve it.
Yes, we're aware of the crashes and are working on the performance, and hopefully we'll have a more stable version soon. However, because we're rewriting RTG from scratch, it could be a little while before these issues are resolved.
.
there is one more thing i noticed. after i added RTG and Geographicraft and Biome O plenty, a world was created with 5000x5000 using MinecraftLandGenerator. and then i also used Dynmap to make the map of 5000x5000. I thought it was dynmap that has bugs... but turned out i was wrong.. it was RTG..
the bugs is shown in dynmap where there are few black spots but these spots are not even rendered completely. there are lot of black spots and few large black spots in the map which must be related to RTG's bugs. For sure it is also related to performance.. If i recall that i was travelling through the area where in the map is also a black spot that caused the server to crash.
but before i travelling to the area. it was fine.. the performance barely keep up with what i am doing.. thats until i reached the area (where the area is showing black spot in the map).
it may be a good clue for you to find out why RTG has a problem with performance when its used with BiomeOplenty.
i will run some test.. using RTG without BiomeOplenty and then use the dynmap to see if my suspicion is correct or not. Give me 24 hours and i will be back with the results.
thank you for getting back to me.. i will let the person who want to port it to 1.10.2 know.. and i will read the licence there as well. i still have to say your mod is the best ship mod out there.. that was my honest opinion because i loved walking around the ship while sailing so KEEP UP THE WORK!
