Considering he gave me the projects on CF, I'm pretty sure I have absolute permission. xD
If you look at the extras for mineralogy, there's 32-128x texture packs already available for it.
>:) I am already using 128x for mineralogy! so I will keep an eye on this mod and its future progress. Well i am just looking forward to it. THATS ALL!
The slab in the schematic might be the old stone slab with a wooden texture. Check the debug screen tooltip to check the block name.
Anything under water will look really bad. Do night vision potions not improve the visibility of the markers?
ok i will look in it..
I did tried "night vision" potions.. but they barely help me.. but water get in the way of what i am looking at.. which is why i am having difficult time to able to tell if i placed the correct block... the structure of ship would have oak plank under the water.. I have night vision while being in creative.. i even placed the wrong block "birch plank" to see if i can see it.. but i can't even see the color that say its wrong block... night potion dont help me at all. but i will endure with this problem for now.. i hope you would able to find a way around that problem.
==================================
i have looked in it. and i see why.. i must say that schematica of the ship i got from planetminecraft website... and that structure, the ship is using is quite outdated.. the name of these slab are also outdated..
so never mind.. i thought it was a bug.. but now it wasn't a bug. it was just a simple outdated information regarding the block used in structure.
I just looked through the folder for CC's configs and i checked the "CCDimensions" and "biomesoplentyInCC" config files and neither have an option for that, am I missing some files or something?
that can't be right. i will find it. brb...
...
Ok the config is "geographicraft.cfg", its also in the same folder as "CCDminensions" and "biomesplentyinCC". Use a notepad++ to open it...
now take a look at Line 137 to 160
please read the line 139 and 158 (it will explain what the line 137 to 160 do to your generation when you wanted to create a world.
so if you want to have lands.. instead of Ocean with many island... go to Line 159, change "true" to "false"... Let me know if that fix your problem
I have BOP + Climate Control + RTG but spawns are only islands. I've fiddled around a bit with the config files for the three mods, but nothing seems to fix it. Anyone got a fix?
have you tried check the config of CC (climate Control).. usually, CC has 2 options where you can create a world with "islands and ocean" OR with lands and few ocean/lakes
one more thing you may want to improve.. is the color of the ghost blocks while being under water... I have hard time trying to tell if i placed the correct block, i can't even tell if its red or green when i am under water because water is blocking what i am seeing.
i am using Schematica to build ships in survival and its fun... but under water.. not so fun.
there is a bug in using schematica, so i exported a structure in another world and i am looking at one part of the structure (one point) that show a slab.. i looked at the materials list and it mentioned "Wooden slab"
and its supposed to be "Oak plank Slab", even i placed the oak slab at where i am looking at (one point) and it turned red, that it doesn't match..
please look in it and see if you can try fix it.
and one more thing to add: when i wanted to rotate the structure that has the stairs in it... The stairs are not facing the correct direction as the structure arefacing Never mind.. it was my fault.
I am using 1.8.9-latest version and i noticed these problems.. but i haven't used the 1.10.2 version yet.
Love this mod, but I can't use it in 1.10.2 until the guy who owns Climate Control updates the mod some time. I understand the BiomeTweaker is in 1.10.2 but I'm unable to find information on how to make the biomes large with that mod, instead of the puny boring 'default' vanilla sizes.
actually, Climate Control is already updated to 1.10.2 but its called "GeoGraphicraft" which has same features as Climate Control has. But right now its in "beta". It took me a while to realize this when i was looking for another mod like climate control that is in version 1.10.2
In bad news, Cyano has retired....
In good news, I've taken up development!
I am actually working on "Base Gems" so that'll be happening, just gonna take a little time for it to be released.
oh i see. I didn't know he has retired. .. but i am gladly that you are continuing this mod, but be sure to have his permission to do so... and i also hope that you would also create a high resolution for the mod as well. i liked his low, middle, high resolution.. so i preferred high resolution along with resource pack i am current using.. not vanilla minecraft. hmm i am looking forward to your works in future.
i found another mod called "survivalist", its also for 1.10.2.. but it has few unique features that Tough As Nails do not have.. and it goes same for Survivalist dont have features that Tough As Nails have.
... that would basically be possible but I think that would be a terrible Idea because some Blocks (more in the future) need additional texture and they would just remain 16x16 and I don't think mixed textures look nice.
Maybe somebody would be interested in making/adding textures for this mod to Resource Packs.
I understand.. as far as i know... there is no one who is interested in making resource pack for your mod or any mods even popular mod. ... all they are interested in vanilla minecraft that they wanted to make their own.. there are 1 or 2 persons who is interested in making resource pack for the mods... like "resource pack shader support" is a support for other resource pack: R3Dcraft, CGO, cyberghost, and 1 or 2 more resource pack will be added in future.. and I haven't seen not one resource pack that support mods are often updated.. unlike vanilla minecraft resource pack..
thats the reason why i would suggest the number 1 suggestion because even with your mod... it could affect how minecraft look depends on what resource pack you would use. and it also can match the looks of your mod with vanilla minecraft which is a lot nicer.
its frustrating. only if there is a feature within the minecraft that can change the texture pack of vanilla minecraft via size, color, style, number, layers and mode (cartoon, semi-realistic, realistic).. then no one would have to make a resource pack that take A LOT OF WORK and time... they can just provide "information" file that you can add to the feature which can use it to change the looks in vanilla minecraft included mods. it would be so easier.. but a feature like that is a lot complicated and lot of works. There is nothing we can do about that.. its just the way it is... and oh thats not the worst thing.. the worst thing is when a person who made that resource pack are forced to retire because of the situation in their life they had to tend. so that resource pack is dead for good. It can happened to few mods that become dead mod (stop updating). and the impossible feature above could make it easy that person dont have to update it everytime.. well probably only have to change the name_png for every blocks. thats it. Sigh.
there is one mod that have stopped updating because of author's life situation forced him to retire.. and it was Plant Mega Pack.. D: its a completely dead and worst of all, that mod is not a open source because of someone tried to steal his work/coding and won't give him the credit which is why its a dead mod.
there are two things that can make a minecraft survival more challenging:
1) temperature (in dessert can make you hot, in winter can make you cold or freeze to death) this is something you already know.
2) thirst (in dessert, you will be sweating a lot so you will be thirst, you can make hot tea or coffee to help yourself warm up in winter)
a few information:
when you start a new survival world, you would try to do these in order:
1) breaking leaves from the trees to pick up sticks
2) looking for rocks scattered everywhere in forest or anywhere. so u can use these rocks to make a hatchet with sticks
3) without crafting table, you only can crafting 2x2 (while crafting table is 3x3).. so i would suggest using 2 stick and 1 rock to make hatchet
4) u got hatchet, u can use it to break the trees to get woods..
5)along with rocks u already pick up, you can make a campfire along with woods with (flint + stone) to ignite fire or you can use sticks to start fire as well.
6)using sticks and rocks to make knife to kill an animal for foods. (it can crafted in inventory craft 2x2 which you can use 1 stick and 1 rock)
7) since you killed one cows, you got leather and meats.. u can use leather to make a canteen, where you can go find a fresh river u can fill canteen
8) now from there, you can decided whatever you want to do.
one more thing to note: if you have difficult time trying to get leathers to make canteen, there is one feature you can add in the game, is that we can use our hands to drink water from the fresh river... to avoid being so thirst. but dont drink water from ocean.. u know ocean has salt.. of course. it can make your thirst worse.
i hope this could help you out improving your mod..

no problem, glad to hear you got it all figured out.

there is already a 1.7.10. Please click this link: Curse Website
it will take you to a curse website where you can get the mod from 1.7.10 to 1.8.9 version.
