can someone help me????? I want to get hookshot for my mac but it won't work and load. I have tried to find out what is but it still won't work please help??????

there are some cases where the mods won't work very good in MAC.. but they work 100% in WINDOWS.. and thats why some people regret that they bought a MAC laptop when they learned that its not possible to use mods or any mods on their mac laptop.. or a desktop.

Yeah, I meant the "useTextureSheet", but that is only to force them to use the old texture sheets. To use standard planks from a resource pack, it needs to be set to "false", which is default now.

As far as the books, you would have to have a texture pack that supported those specifically since textures like that don't exist in vanilla.

Ah got it.. i understand now. I will set the correct setting in config.. and see how it goes.. i will let u know.

    Thanks everyone. :)

Maybe I need to put a link to my mod pack policy in big bold letters in the OP or something, lol.

I hope its not too extreme either. ;) It might be easier than I think, hopefully. I want to start experimenting and figuring it out as soon as I do some BiblioWoods stuff.

+1 for the Solstice mod. Hopefully that will be something that gets maintained and updated. It doesn't look like its actually been touched since the modjam like 2 months ago.

I do like the idea of having a calendar, but I feel like seasons and such are something that would really need to be added, like the Solstice mod is doing, or like TerraFirmaCraft, so make a calendar really useful. Seasons and changes like that are really outside the scope of BiblioCraft. I could see maybe keeping a day count for journals. Maybe I could add like a button in the big book that was a date and time stamp kind of thing that basically wrote the current day and time of (minecraft) day. Something like that seems reasonable. I'll have to think on that more sometime.

Actually, as of the 1.7.4 release that I just did yesterday, you can do this now. It doesn't work with the table or desk, but the other wood blocks all support it now. So make sure your on Minecraft v1.7.10 w/ 1.7.4 and any resource pack you load up that replaces the vanilla wood planks will also texture the BiblioCraft blocks. :)

This is on by default and it did change the look of some of the blocks slightly, but if you wanted to disable this feature and use the old texture maps (in the case maybe you could be using a texture pack that did my old blocks on texture sheets, which does give the artist more control) you can set "useTextureMaps" to true in the BiblioCraft.cfg config file. In the future I will take advantage of the in-game config editor that was just added to forge so this can be changed in game.

Indeed there is. :) If you check my twitter, I even tweeted a preview of all the bookcases from BiblioWoods BoP edition working in 1.7.10. I've made a bit more progress and got more stuff in, but still a bit to go. I am hoping I can get a BiblioWoods BoP edition release out by next week if all goes well. I think Natura has a 1.7.10 version out too, or at least a beta, which I'll likely look into that after the BoiP edition release. I plan to do one at a time and release them as I go and as the other mods get updated to 1.7.10.

"useTextureMaps" u mean useTextureSheet?? i found it in config... so if i set it to "true" so it would use any resourcepack i select on the bibliocraft block/item? i wanted to know if this is correct or not.. i am not sure.. so let me know if i am wrong or not.

and i will looking forward to use BOP bibliowood "addon".. :)

EDIT: ah i see. that i was correct... i can see the resource pack i selected is being used on chair.. i can see its appearance.. but i also noticed that table, shelves, or label are not applied.. well can u also make it apply to these blocks as well. table, shelves, or label? and is it also possible for u to use the resource pack to have it apply to the books i am going put "books" on the shelves? i can see the books that they are in default texture pack.

    Hey,

is it possible that i can use an option where i can use any resource pack which can change the block/items in bilbiocraft's appearance..

I mean if i use resource pack.. then the default texture pack of these item/block of bibliocraft will be changed to the resource pack i selected.. so is it possible that i can do that??? just asking? because there is no texture pack/resource pack support for this mod.. :( :'(

amazing... to think micro block do exist..

well to vote 1.6.4 or 1.7.2... i preferred 1.7.10 :P because 1.7.10 has a lot of bug that have fixed than 1.7.2...

well i hoped to use microblock mod for 1.7.10 but it seemed there is no mod for 1.7.10.. :-l

    Hey

i wanted to know if this mod allowed me to tied the end of the rope to a fence or block and then also tied the other end of the rope to another block/fence...

its like u see the rope on a pirate ship.. where you would see that both end of the rope are tied to a pole or to a "sail" which is a wool (block)...

if you dont understand... let me know.. and i wanted to know is it possible for me to do that?

I checked out the licence too, mainly because of the textures. No luck there, I can't use them without explicit permission, and Poersch seems well and truly disappeared.

If by "officially continue" you mean taking BG&L and just straight up porting it to 1.7.2, I have no desire to do that at all (would have been way more work than rewriting from scratch). Better Foliage is more like a spiritual successor, that walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but is actually... well, a completely new duck altogether :) .

    As for the plans.

I will implement: cactus, mycelium, coral.
I will probably implement: falling leaf particles, short grass on ledges.
I won't implement: footprints, blood particles, swaying grass, reeds.

falling leaf??? oh i would love to see that.. a falling leafs from cherry trees.. it will be so beautiful! :) and watching the falling leaf from cherry trees to the ponds.. :D
I hoped it would become reality in MC.. i mean i hoped its possible
