do i have your permission to have someone who can do some work to port your mod to latest version 1.10.2 or below? I can have him to speak with you about the credit. but only if i found someone who can port your mod?
Thanks but i can understand why people are asking and it's not like it really annoys me. Sometimes a reminder like this can be helpful to get motivated.
ah well no problem, and i also got a friendly warning from one or two person.. about the mod that i asked few years ago.. oops. i had no idea it was that bad.. so i am gladly that it is motivating you. so just let me know when its ready for me to use in 1.10.2. I would love to be the first one who get to have that mod in my minecraft.. hehehehe (devil face) u know what i mean!
Having problems with both 1.2.1 & 1.2.2 in GTX 1080 with newest drivers
In 1.2.1, it says "invalid composite2 " and black screen; in 1.2.2, it says "invalid composite" and renders things yellow.
Is there any way to solve this?
renders thing yellow, i had the same problem... you may want to try turn off the "Godray" and "moonray" it should temporary fix the problem for now. i just report few features that cause the background to be yellow or such other colors.. to the author.
edit: and uh um.. you may have to wait for the shader update to new version since you got invalid composite.. thats because of the GPU new driver that you just updated to.. and i am quite surprised that you are using GTX 1080.. now i know its the driver. not GPU.. that have problem with shader because of how they read the codes in these files.. fsh and vsh.
Ok I think I know what might be the problem, try turning of godrays, not the volumetric light but the 2D screen space ones and I think this will fix your problem. I have experienced this on my old pc that has a GTX 570 and unfortunately these older cards are bugging out with some bits of our code.
Oh ok. i have turned off the GodRays.. now its almost perfect but i am looking the background.. well lets start with grounds... these grounds (grass, tree, grass, flower etc) are all green. but the sky are almost perfect... except the sky are light blue. thats not right color for the sky..
i will try to isolate the problem.. i am starting the profile from "Low" and enable few options to see if i can find the problem.
The profile "Low" is working perfect..so i will be using the "low" profile to find which features is causing me problem.I will be enabling one of these features, one at a time starting with "Shadow and Lights" so here it is:
-Godray ENABLED: got a background yellow/light-blue/white/blue... but the blue show up when i am looking at sun.. but it has 4 colors.
-Global_llumination ENABLED: got a background of light-blue and white.. (same problem with godray) but only 2 colors.
-MoonRay ENABLED: got a background which is BLUE, same as godray. but only when i am looking at the sun.
-Soft Shadow ENABLED: almost perfect, but the side of any block are all white.. except the top.. so the top are fine and they are visible. (i placed a block in front of me, the side are white but top is fine)
Thats all for now. and it look like my gpu has a problem with "shadow and lights" feature..if there is any more test you want me to do.. please let me know. and i also can provide you some information on which direction i am facing.. it can affect the background to 4 or 2 different colors.
so for now. i will use the profile "low" and it works perfect for me.
EDIT: ok i think i found a bug.. when i am in a cave.. but there is a waterfall. in front of me.. so i look up at the sky, its white and... well its better if i show you a picture.. and this is done with profile: "low"
You should notice the white part is the cloud.. mean i am looking at the sky.. but the rest of background with black is black. is the water.. i am just standing next to the water falling down.. i am inside cave.
But you claimed it will solve all OpenGL problems without worries.
ok.. how do i change that to "its only a theory that you can try it out to see if it fix the problem" well i am bad at english and also rusty. I would appreciate your help..
and i am speaking for from my experinces.. i had 2 completely different issues.. and both are related to OpenGL error. so i used the solution to "temporary fix it" and it works for me, and i get to play minecraft without any OpenGL error.
edit: never mind i guess i just fixed it.. so it shouldn't be claiming or declaring.
Y'know running as admin won't magically fix all opengl problems?
yes i am aware.. i just fixed my thread to give more explanation. You are welcome to read my thread and tell me to add any more information if anything is missed.
Edit: First thing of all, i want to say is that there is no guarantee or absolute solution that could fix your problem, you only get to try it out.. so just think my solution as a suggestion for you to try out to see if it work for you as it would fix your problem or not. What i learned from few people i spoke... is that there are many things that could cause OpenGL error.. like i said its mystery and unknown. I also learned that the solution may not fix your OpenGL error fully.. it only fix something like permission issue.. but its a good solution to try and see if its working for you.
If you face an issue with openGL like below:
Problem#1
When you are going to play minecraft, so you use launcher to launch minecraft and then you wait for the minecraft to popup and loading.. but instead of that. a screen popup show you that you got a OpenGL error. It may be frustrating to not know why.
Problem#2
you are at menu of Minecraft, you are going to add a Resource Pack, lets say 512x512.. so you added 512x resource pack and then go play your game by joining server or single player World, you pick. but when you are inside the game, you see everywhere, the block are colored "green" and "white". It make no sense and confused.. this is not how it should be.
The problem is not with your GPU. your GPU should be able to handle 512x just fine.. but it depends on how powerful your GPU if its more than 2 to 3 years old. Next is why you are seeing everything in green and white... its a pre-render.. there is an error that your GPU couldn't pre-render your resource pack that you chose.. The error is OpenGL error.. so To make sure its not your GPU..
1) exit your minecraft
2) find your log of minecraft and take a look at the log that minecraft was running with the resource pack
it would a long scrolling as you can see these error. That confirm the fact its not your GPU. But if you do not have errors like the logs above mean its your GPU.. Your GPU is not powerful to handle the 512x so the best solution is to use a lower resolution such as 256x or below.
These two problems have to do with OpenGL error and you dont know how to fix it.. its not hard to do. All you have to do is Run Minecraft as Administrator Then you can try play minecraft like usually but if none happened in few hours..that should answer your question.
Note: if you have any other problems that is not related to the two problems i mentioned.. but its related to OpenGL error.. Then you can use the solution and it should work properly without any problem. But there is no guarantee that it could fix your OpenGL Issue, but only thing you can is try it out. The reason why OpenGL error happened is unknown and mystery where nobody know why nor even I know why. so Have fun playing minecraft and enjoy!
AdditionalInformation:
however one more thing to note: if you are playing minecraft 1.7.10, then next 1.8 and next 1.9 so on and on until you hit a wall where you got a OpenGL error on minecraft 1.x.x, you can try the solution on that 1.x.x... but you dont have to worry about the next version.. there is a good chance that you won't get a OpenGL error on the next version.. only on the version that you hit a wall.
I am trying to find out to see if there is any alternative to Bukkit/Cauldron that can install mods and plugins in the server? and Please do not say Sponge. I already know about it. One problem is that Sponge do not use Spigot plugins and its completely different system/API from these Spigot or bukkit plugins.
I also can't find "pore" plugin for Sponge that allow it to use Bukkit plugins or spigot plugins.. and i think its dead plugin.
The version of server is 1.10.2. so if you know any server that exist as you know can do plugins and mods.. please share, and i would appreciate you sharing it. so
i am sure its chroma hills. but i want to know how can i get that "Glass-pane" i really liked that glass. and i also tried chroma Hills and it do not have that glass..
I have tried the V1.3 preview.. and all i see in the background is color.. yellow/black/blue/red. when i am looking at the sun.. i can see the sun. but the color is i believed blue and sun is dark blue..
can you please look in it to see if you can fix it that i can use it.
Hello, ok so I have looked at all your posts and you mentioned that you have a GTX 580 and unfortunately this series of cards do have problems with continuum, I can safely say that it's not a windows ten problem as most of the continuum team are using win10. From what you have described being a composite2.fsh error I think that you haven't got the fixed continuum non-pbr 1.2.2 that only came out on facebook as I fixed the problem, it was actually caused by the newer Nvidia drivers. As of writing there is a new version on the continuum facebook page (should be top post) that is continuum Non-PBR 1.3 preview 1, see if this version works for you as I have had some reports back that it's working well. I hope this helps you and get continuum working again
well thank you for the explanation.. that answer my unanswered questions. alright. i am just thinking of everything.. then i can rule them out.. u know.. being like detective, you got to figure it out who is the culprit. hehehe. alright i was waiting for v1.3 continuum preview to come out.. because it would be based on SEUS v11.0.. and of course, i have no problem running Seus V11.0. I'll let you know how the Continuum v1.3 turned out.
most importantly we need to know what your specs are
well i think the spec dont matter, because it look like hiimteddy243 is using Windows 10... well he is not only one who has the same error..
i am sure he is using Non-PBR, the one that give me the same error.. Composite2.fsh error. I am also using Windows 10.. as well. i had the same problem as he does.. i dont have solution because no one knows or answered my question.
thats why i asked him to see if he is using Windows 10..
Please help me fix this Error : Invalid program composite2. I have found many youtube videos about fixing it but none of those work. PLEASE HELP (before I re-install my Windows 10 I still can run it but after that the error came up)
There is one test i want you to do regarding the shader you are using.. with minecraft and windows 10
try use the PBR.. and run it with your minecraft... tell me what are the background you are looking at (thats when you should be looking at the ground)... it should be colors "black/blue/yellow", if you do see it.. then try look up at the sky... it should run perfect when you are looking at the sky.. (no problem no blue/black/yellow background)
if you have the result as i would say. then you got the same problem as i do.. but if you do not have the same result..then its something else and you should tell us your spec of your computer (what GPU, CPU do you have etc)
if
we have the same result/problem... then it has to do with windows 10 we
are using. Windows 8.1 and windows 10 are quite different in coding,
but same design and content.
Please help me fix this Error : Invalid program composite2. I have found many youtube videos about fixing it but none of those work. PLEASE HELP (before I re-install my Windows 10 I still can run it but after that the error came up)
which shader did you used to get the error? PBR or NON-PBR?
i have to ask.. before you install the windows 10, you used to run the continuum shader without any problem? then you installed the w10.. and you got the error, Invalid program composite2..
Each Mfgr AMD and Nvidia have proprietary driver code functions to do their magic , they don't share . A coder that Optimizes the Graphics on a Nvidia card may well break the graphics on a AMD card . There are over 100 million minecraft players worldwide all with different hardware combinations , its just hard to find all the bugs . In the Last AMD Crimson Driver 16.6.x The driver allowed extra voltage on the PCIe bus causing everything to heat up even permanently damaging people systems . Seems fixed in the 16.7.2 hotfix beta , testing these drivers with no compensation if they wreck your card is risky . Makes me want to go grab a nVidia card . lol
yeah you are so right and that was an EXCELLENT explanation.. thats why its never easy to find all of bugs.. and as you can see these previous post i have posted.. it is quite strange.. with Shader 1.2 of Continuum PBR, i looked up at the sky. it was perfect.. but if i look down at the ground, i get black/blue/yellow.. I am not sure why. the reason is because it has to do with the block that's rendered by the shader.. i am trying to find out a way to fix it.. but i used SEUS v11.0.. there was no problem... I dont know why. one thing for sure.. there is somewhere in the fsh of Continuum that caused the problem. that could be considered to be a bug. so i want to FIND that bug and remove it. I hate to say it.. its part of life where we will face many problems like this situation in future and it will never end ever. we also will have to try overcome these problem whether we like it or hate it.
