I can see some similarities in the architecture, he has some great tutorials I've tried my hand at several. Never can get the interiors right and I always end up adding on tons of extras to the buildings. I like yours but I probably would have gone with a three or four high interior, I always feel cramped in a room 2 blocks high.

yeah i was thinking of that when i was building that... but then i always feel like i have to make the windows bigger too though

HI! Today I am going to show you how to create a medieval style house.

Basic materials needed are logs, cobble stone, basic wood, stone bricks, cobble stairs, and cobble slabs.

    Step 1:
    Create a 13x3 rectangle

    Step 2:
Add another row of logs 2 spaces away from the main rectangle. Then add 2 more logs 2 more spaces on the right side.

    Step 3:
add 2 logs on each log you already put down and then connect all of them.

    Step 4:
Place one more log on each intersection.

    Step 5:
Add two more logs on each of the new logs EXCEPT the two shown in the picture.

    Step 6:
To create the roof we need to create roof struts. On one of the sides of the house frame create a pyramid like structure, like this.

Then add all of these where you want the roof to cover.

    Step 7:
We are going to add a doorway!!! The area we created back in step 2 is a perfect place! You need 3 cobble and 2 stone bricks.

    Step 8:
Add the walls all around the first floor like this

    Step 9:
For the second floor we will use wooden planks and cobble stone instead of stone bricks. *IMPORTANT* Do not place walls all around the floor, you need to keep the area where it's only two blocks wide.

    Step 10:
Now you need some fences to create the decks/porches. Place them where you didn't put the walls.

    Step 11:
Just add some glass panes in all the areas you put window holes.

    Step 12:
Just add doors in all the door ways leading outside.

    Step 13:
Add a wooden floors and destroy the two wooden pillars that are inside.

    Step 14:
    Add a stair case!!!!

    Step 15:
Add wooden slabs for the second floor. And add fences for a railing.

    Step 16:
Time for the roof!!!! All you have to do is put cobble stone stairs all the way across the roof struts. You'll notice that there will be holes in the roof where the corners meet. There you will add full cobble stone blocks.

    Step 17:
When finished the roof create over hangs on all the edges and places upside down stairs under the over hang like so.

    Step 18:
Now add upside down slabs on the edges and also stairs. Then put slabs on the top of the roof and it's finished!

Here's what it looks like when you're finished with the outside!!!

Here are some extra things I have done with the house and if you wanna do them here are some pictures!!

    Front door over hang
    Kitchen
    Whole bottom floor
    Upstairs

Hello mine craft community! I am going to share my first adventure/survival map! What I mean by an "adventure/survival" map is that it is just basic survival but with a twist. This map is going to have side quests, new dungeons you can find and explore, and A BUNCH of hidden chests hidden around the entire world. The entire map is about 3,500x3,500 blocks.

On this map I will include these features:

    -Ruins
    -Two or more NPC Towns
    -Castle Ruins
    -Hidden caves
-Hidden chests through out the map
    -Miner houses in mountains
    -Huts
    -abandon huts
    -Bonus caves
    -Hidden mineshafts
    -underground fortess/stronghold
    -tower ruins
    -hunting stands
    -watch towers
    -25-40 graves spread around world
    -quests
    -Many, many more to come!

Here are some screen shots of some of the features I have completed:

Here's a far screenshot of the church tower

Here are what the graves are going to look like

    Abandoned windmill

The abandoned house spawn in front of

    Inside the house

One of the bonus ruins/structures that has secrets and dangers lurking inside!
