posted a message on How/If Minecraft could be integrated with steam [Just an Idea]
Yes sounds crazy, but maybe It might just be a possibility. So, we all know that the main problem with getting minecraft on steam is that on Steam, you already have a username system, but then again minecraft doesn't have to use that system. Heres my Idea of how Steam users who buy minecraft on steam could even play with Mojang account users in harmony, remember this is just an idea that came in my head! I'm also trying to consider some of the problems that could be ran into, such as the No DRM I know minecraft needs to stay that way. Alright here it is:

    1. user buys minecraft on steam

    2. in order to play multiplayer the the user will have to be linked to mojang accounts website and proceed to sign in with steam to verify that you bought minecraft on steam there you will be able to choose a minecraft user name

    3. you now enter your user key into the game and it is saved to the steam cloud services so you don't have to repeat the last 3 steps of this again

Basicly what happens on step 3: So, you logged into the mojang accounts website and sign in with steam. What happens is first the mojang servers verify you bought minecraft on steam and for you, the mojang servers generate an account key that is then given back to you. Once you enter the key in the game, the game asks the mojang servers for authentication to this account key, then the server returns with whatever token information the game needs to login to your mojang account via the generated key, the information is now LOCKED to your steam account and the key cannot be used again.
Now all you have to do after downloading minecraft through steam is play the game, no more having to enter keys again! And would even work on offline mode without internet. Since it's all saved in steam cloud for you. The mojang servers have now assigned your steam a UUID for your the minecraft username you choose after verifying steam purchase.

    5. you can now play minecraft even with users who did not buy mc on steam :D

    Questions you might ask:
Note: This questions are based ALL on an idea. None of them are possible right now, just coming up with ideas how things could work!

    Q: How does multiplayer work?
A: You would have already have minecraft steam purchase verified with the mojang servers and the data for authenticating that would be already stored in steam cloud so you have a UUID assigned and no need to login since your logged in with steam.

Q: What if i change my steam username?
A: That would not change your minecraft username, however it should be possible to link your steam with a mojang account to manage settings like that. On the mojang website. (I'm talking about for when mojang actually does allow name changing.)

Ok i think you guys get the idea!

Yes this is a very complex thing, but perhaps a possibility since mojang was in talks about putting mc on steam. I really wanted to get my idea out.

posted a message on I have been losing interest in minecraft :(
Well, when i first played minecraft It was an amazing experience nothing like i ever played before and It was really my favorite game. But over the past 3 years for some reason I've lost interest in the game sadly. Even though, minecraft has brought allot of fun memories into my life of the good old times i had with my friends. I ran a server for a while, and i was very new to servers so I guess I could say I learned some technical knowledge I didn't think i would ever have to learn during the time I played minecraft. I feel like I already got the most out of playing this great game and maybe It's just time for me to stop playing for a while. Possibly a long time from now, I'll look back and say "Hey that was one of my favorite games growing up!". Mainly I learned allot of lessons on my journey. It's kind of like how when i had my Nintendo 64 I always had my favorite game to play after a rough day at school, minecraft is what I played to help my calm my anger or stress down. So now It is my time to move on and look forward for playing another time and seeing what new to the game.

So thanks Notch for creating this game!

    And goodbye minecraft community.

posted a message on How do i create a texture pack for minecraft 1.7.10?
Hi, I would like to get started on making my own minecraft texture pack however the problem is I haven't made one since like the days of Minecraft beta 1.8... And the format for creating a texture pack has drastically changed. I'm very confused at the moment. I have took a look on the minecraft wiki and some of the information on creating a texture pack is a little outdated given the fact that the format has changed even more from 1.7 to 1.7.10... All i want to do is have a default texture pack to start editing on. Thanks.

posted a message on When minecraft is open source someday
So minecraft is almost one of the most popular games around today, allot of people know about it. But as time passes by there will come a day that the sales start to go down. As Notch stated it will be open source, it seems to me like that seems like a good idea. I'm sure that minecraft will still always be remembered as one of our favorite classic games growing up like for me. I know things will start to change quite a bit once that happens. It's possible that there could be a community of developers on something like Github for working on minecraft or something like that. What do you think minecraft will be like as Jeb retires from Mojang as well for other members in the future? It's allot to think about. I just hope that mine craft stays under the right developers who have a good sense of creativity and confidence in what there doing is making the game better. Think about it. What would you like to see happen when minecraft becomes open source?

Check your router firewall logs for the DDOSER's ip address then report it to your ISP and they will handle it or you could turn of your router for a bit because the hacker will eventually notice that the packets are not sending and wouldn't do it anymore.

posted a message on Is Minecraft Realms Testing Algorithm Weird?
It is fair, All the famous youtubers you see have the button because they were invited to the realm (Not radomly selected to create a realm) Only 100 active minecraft users were chosen to create a realm. Each of those lucky players can invite up to 20 people to there realm meaning the 2000 invited to realms will also get to try it. Some of the realms players that were chosen to create one went off inviting people like bebopvox captainsparklez and others! In fact one of my minecraft server players were out of the 100 to be able to create one, and he invited me to his realm :)
