Both screen shots are beautiful, you've done an amazing job on this texture pack! I love how insanely detailed the kitchen is; it's very pleasing to the eye. Can't wait to watch your progress!

Alvoria posted a message on "block grids" (help)Posted in: Resource Pack Help
A few newbie questions:
is there's a way that I can resize the "block grid" to the actual block dimensions on vanilla? And therefore resizing the point where you "collide" with this block?
I know that maybe I'm not using the correct name descriptions but I hope with the picture you'll understand.
If not possible with vanilla, which steps should I follow to achieve it?
-Thanks
You can't change the bounding box. It's hard-coded into the game files. This is probably for the best as you could theoretically change it to be invisible, which would really mess with gameplay.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. -

ScotsMiser posted a message on "Block grids" (help)Posted in: Discussion"[T]he point where you "collide" with [a] block" is called the collision mask (which may not be present e.g. signs).
This is similar but not identical to the hitbox (which is the volume on which your mouse pointer must be to interact with the box).
signs have a hitbox, but no collision mask, so one may hit & break signs that one can also walk throughthe hit box is the same as the collision mask for slabs (you hit the half cube it occupies and can not pass through that space). The "block grid" shown in the graphic looks, to me, like the 1m 3-Dimensional world grid (which can not be changed)
e.g. a free standing fence post will (barring mods) always appear inside a 1m cubic world grid
I don't recognize the block in the graphic, what is it? (Is this in vanilla with the default shader/texture pack?)
In any case, you will need a mod to change either the collision mask or hitbox of a block or entity; probably to write or modify the code as I am aware of none that provide the ability to change these from 'inside" the game.

@Clownfish Thank you!, I haven't seen those mods but I will go now and look for it. The cereal box it's actually a colored stained glass, I edited the model file turn it into the cereal box and the little cans surrounding it. The magazines are actually part of the table I did the same as the cereal box.
Hey Kit01, you're very welcome! I look forward to any further images or files you share.
Ahh, so you have modified the textures are created a resource pack right? How did you make the couches and the angled pillows on the couch?
Yes, I think you'll really enjoy playing around with the DecoCraft and Little Tiles Mod.
When you work with Minecraft and modify files or try mods out, do you use the "MultiMC" launcher. If not, you should highly consider using it. It's so easy to use, you can keep various versions of Minecraft for your modding pleasure (e.g. Play the newest vanilla Minecraft in one instance, make another instance with an older version of Minecraft and your favorite mods, and have a few variations of Minecraft you have modified resource packs on. Each instance, doesn't interfere with the others, they are easy to load up separately and take care of. My family and I have enjoyed using MultiMC for the past 5 years or more.
Here are a few links for you:

Also here are a few links for the DecoCraft and Little Tiles mods. You can read about them and download the files from both types of link, "Forum" (here on minecraftforum.net and "Curse" on the Curse Forge site. The "Curse" links are easier to download from and get updates on the mods.

Simply download it and drop it in the mods folder next to Little Tiles

I've got a good feeling either or both of these mods will add to the experience you are creating here. They both open lots of decorating potential in a minecraft game! You should be able to use them together with what you are already doing here.
Enjoy!

TheMasterCaver posted a message on Block with different texture sides (help) 1.12.2Posted in: DiscussionWhat editor did you use to create this file? I ask because the quotes are "smart" quotes:
“parent”: “block/cube”,
As opposed to "regular" quotes:
"parent": "block/cube",
Notice how the latter are vertical, not slanted - this is why you want to use a basic text editor like Notepad to create json files.
Also, I noticed a couple other errors within your log - you appear to be using textures which are not a power of 2 in size (e.g. 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, etc), which, if not showing up incorrectly, is causing the game to lower the mipmap level:
[12:39:57] [Client thread/WARN]: Texture minecraft:textures/items/potion_bottle_empty.png with size 200x200 limits mip level from 4 to 3
[12:39:57] [Client thread/WARN]: Texture minecraft:textures/items/beef_cooked.png with size 100x100 limits mip level from 3 to 2 -

Choonster posted a message on Block with different texture sides (help) 1.12.2Posted in: DiscussionThere should be some errors in the log (logs/latest.log in the game directory) explaining what went wrong, upload it to Gist and link it here.
You may want to install Forge while you're working on the model, since it greatly improves the error reporting of the model loading process. If you do, upload the FML log (logs/fml-client-latest.log in the game directory) instead of the Vanilla log.
You should also upload the model file itself and post the paths of your texture files.

I want to share this minimap with all of you as soon as i finish, it's on early stages but it's progressing!
My idea is to create a mini inspired on japanese cities and neighborhoods.
There will be houses, apartments, stores, etc. Everything with good interiors.
At the time I'm finishing this house.
I will be updating this often
Tell me your opinions and ideas, it would be really helpful!
If you like this project let me know!
*Update#1* (01/22/2018)
I finished a great part of the kitchen!
I'm thinking to share this house from the map just so you can have a little taste of the map, what do you think?
As soon as I finish the entire house you can download it and have fun, *no mods necessary*

I've been working on this, your opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I currently don't know where this is going, it can be a map, texture pack, both? mini game maybe? You can add me on twitter if you want, it's my new account.
