IC'ly, fuel is a scarce resource, sin't it? I'm pretty sure the captain of the ship would be rather strict on how much can be used to fly. Probably regulate it on a per mission basis XD
And no, that heli isn't armed. Pretty sure missiles are much harder to come by than bullets, which in itself should be hard to come by in a flooded world. Unless the captain deems it fit to send a lone heli at a target packed full of missiles. Thats a different story (^.~)
I did the RP scenario in two ways, paragraph(text RP style) and dialogue(live RP style), since I didn't know which one you'd like for us to use.
Also, the ratio of male to female characters are skewed heavily >.>
Also, the biography was kinda based off an idea that a 'landmark' on the server could be a derelict wreckage of the much smaller carrier.

Name: Yuuyami Suyasuya, goes by the callsign Lynx
Age: 23 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Asian Place of Birth: Un-named carrier Defining Characteristic and Appearance: Yuuyami is more often than not wearing jeans with a black hoodie, even when told to dress less casual. Only on rare cases would you ever find her wearing a dress that she scavenged, a simple black dress, that is both comfortable enough to sleep in, and yet durable enough for everyday use. Not counting her unusual eyes, Yuuyami would appear to be a normal young woman. Normal black hair, that is tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon. Her eyes are a gentle, navy blue colour, as if reflecting the colours of the deep sea. Strengths and Weaknesses: Is able to fly a helicopter, and operate a long range rifle. Hand her a close range weapon, or even a medium ranged weapon, and she's not going to know how to use it. Also, you can't exactly fly a helicopter and shoot a rifle at the same time. Does your character own property on the ship: a Westland Lynx helicopter. However, due to the scarcity of fuel, the helicopter has had its tank empty for awhile, it has been somewhat converted into Yuuyami's living quarters. Background story: Yuuyami was actually born aboard a different carrier, than the USS Defiance. After all, it's certain that not only one country had the idea of living off a giant metal coffi-er, tub. However, this carrier was far less equipped, and had actually suffered multiple serious problems, that most likely added up into one big problem, that sunk the carrier.
This carrier had at least over ten mutinies before Yuuyami was born, and another three during her time aboard this ship. The living conditions were akin to slums, with everyone scavenging resources from each other. Stealing, robbery, mugging, they were all a natural part of life onboard. It was during this time that Yuuyami's parents were killed, and now forgotten. However, during yet another muntiny, raiders piloting smallcrafts boarded the carrier, and started to either kill everyone in their way, or take them as slaves. Raiding everything and anything they could find, the remaining survivors attempted to flee. It was during this situation, that someone accidentally ignited the fuel storage, blowing a wide hole in the bottom of the hull.
Jumping onboard a helicopter, Yuuyami finds the pilot clutching his arm in agony. Seemingly, a stray bullet had hit it, and that was preventing the pilot from taking off. So, Yuuyami was forced to take the control, and not without hesitating and nervousness. Luckily, the pilot stayed conscious, and guided her through. Lifting off, they were amongst a few other crafts that escaped the sinking carrier.
It was actually pure luck that he was found by the USS Defiance. With the helicopter running on fumes, and with the pilot's injury becoming worse due to infection, Yuuyami landed it on an outcropping, jagged slab of rock that sat just a foot above the water, and sometimes slightly below it. Without a single bit of wildlife on that outcropping, the two were forced to sit until help arrived. Three days later, help did arrive, in the form of Defiance. Unfortunately, the pilot had passed away just four hours before rescue. Flying with the last dregs of fuel left in the tank, Yuuyami managed to land the helicopter on deck safely.
Yuuyami is now one of the few people onboard the Defiance who is capable of piloting an aircraft, especially a VTOL type, which is especially useful for supply runs and medical airlift. However, due to the scarcity of fuel, the helicopter has been grounded indefinitely, at least until Yuuyami is given permission for more fuel. RP scenario:
Shiyami:"Rotor's up and running."
Control:"You are clear for take off."
Yuuyami:"Got it, got it."*lifts up the helicopter*
Control:"The call for help came from the island, about three click west from the Defiance."
Yuuyami:"We went over this at least five times now."
Control:"Also, don't forget your shipmates. We lost contact with them an hour ago."
Yuuyami:"Of course I'm not going to forget, they were the ones who were calling for help."
With the helicopter flying towards its destination, Yuuyami gets a good view of the expanse of the flooded world. The island that she was suppose to land at was presumably double its size before the catastrophic flood. The horizon, where the empty sky touched the empty seas, was nothing but a line, only broken by clouds, and the island before him.
Half an hour later, the helicopter hovered fifty feet above the village. Slowly lowering the helicopter, he got a closer look at the village. What seemed like a rather derelict place of residence, was a rather well built. Plenty of scrap used for fortifications too. However, as she got closer, Yuuyami frowned heavily. The fortifications were designed to prevent people from leaving the village, not enter. Something was up.
Her instincts told him to get out of there as fast as possible, and she followed it without hesitation. Not a second later, a makeshift grapple was fired inches from the helicopter. "Control! This is the Lynx. Possible hostiles at destination. Requesting to retreat.", Yuuyami called out into the radio. There was no was she was going to land the helicopter down. This was a multi-role craft, not a strike craft. "Send someone else in, or give me a missile pod.", she muttered, more so towards herself, than to anyone that might have been listening to her.
If I may hand some advice like candied nuts during winter solstice.
1)Even if RPers know what Skyrim is, you should still type down a better story, just as a refresher and eye candy.
2)Where is the exemplar application?
3)Where are the basic, summarized description of the races?
4)You forgot gender in your own application.
5)You forgot your own character's age.
6)Where is the section in the app for skills?
7)Might add the basics of each material, like glass, steel, iron, etc...
8)Add the basic categories of weapons, like types of bows(not material wise), types of swords(again, not material wise), etc...
9)Adding 'Duh', in roleplay's backstory/setting causes players to think this roleplay was built on the whim.
(well, that's going to be a rude wake up call for my crew XD)
Chris sighed as he stared at the console again. It seem quite a few areas had their atmospheric pressure leaked, due to damages. He switched views, and checked the stats of the weaponry."What's the status of the catapults?" Chris asked suddenly. Eliza gave him a bewildered look, before responding.
Project 'Flying Wheels' is intact
Nodding, Chris checked the radar. A few covenant ships were within range of 'Flying Wheels', but Chris didn't want to operate said weapons yet. Beside, his crew were still asleep.
"So it appears...well, it won't be long until the Covenant are screaming for your treason, and the General screaming at me for my ignorance." Chris replied, before looking around the room."Casualty report!" he called out. As the Sovereigns personnel started to call out who had died, Chris slowly shook his head.
Sir? What are your orders?
Chris thought for a bit, before giving out his orders. "Eliza, commence repairs for the Sovereign. And I want all personnel onboard this ship, to patch themselves up before doing anything else. Your no good if you die from blood loss. Afterwards, please head to your quarters and take a break." A few extremely loyal hard workers protested, before Chris cut them off."No, even if you say your fine, I want you to rest first. And if you don't want to, I'll tie you down myself. Have I made myself clear?" the personnel all answered yes when he finish, and left. Chris turned back, and sighed."I was called an idiot by many fellow captains, for getting my crew to relax quite often, especially right after being boarded. Never understood why."
(a few windows? I was prepared to replace several hangar bay, a cargo hold, and the bar XD)
"Yes, the commander contacted me, and gave a long list of ridiculous orders." Chris sighed tiredly, before adding "Probably thinks other personnel have no life, and just twiddle their thumbs while waiting for him..."
Sir? We have hostiles on board. Scans show three Elites
"Let them be. They'll have to make their way through here to get to the console in the bridge." Chris answered calmly.
Chris muttered some obscenities, when one of the zombies nearly dragged him down. He barely managed to miss getting bit when he finally cut the arm."That was close...". As he continued to cut, his mind drifted off a little.
Kate shook her head as a negative. However, when Kate saw what Chris was doing, she started scrambling down the shaft.
Chris held the machete in his right hand. As he held the machete near the hatch, he held his left arm out over said hatch. As an undead hand grabbed him, he brought the machete down, severing the undead arm."Hopefully, when all their arms are down, we can have a breather while beating their heads in."
Chris laughed, but before he could speak, Eliza interrupted.
Sir? The General is on the line
Sighing, Chris nodded. Motioning that he would be right back, he left the table to a empty corner."Talk, now." he muttered into the earpiece.
That is no way to treat your commanding officer!
"Sir, I was in the middle-" Not important enough!
"But sir, I be-" You have new orders. Carefully observe the Elite. Extract any information from it. Don't forget to reverse engineer the Banshee!
"Sir? Are you- Damn, he hung up"
Chris was quite annoyed now. As he walked back towards the table, he muttered something about the old men have nothing to do.
