That was one of the greatest parts about the XB360 Server I ran as part of the Renatus team; we would take the dungeons we found, build them out, make them a challenge, create some lore for them, and then open them up for the players! One of the more elaborate ones I constructed involved a couple of spider spawners that were relatively close to each other. I made multiple pathways down with different play styles in mind, wrote up a story about it, and then introduced it as "The Lair of the Spider King." Players were tasked with bringing back a bit of information that was hidden at the end, and then return to the castle to give me or one of the other moderators the information to collect the reward. We had a pretty elaborate system in place and many of the dungeons would advance the overall lore of the server, while some of them were one-offs that just provided experience and challenge. It was a lot of fun! Wish I still had time to devote to a project of that scale.
Anyone that wants to read my take on why the world, dungeons and creatures of of Minecraft are the way they are, check out our Lore page (http://renatus.fullboards.com/t9-the-history-of-renatus).
And don't worry, there's no Herobrine LOL

+1 for that.
I am working on an Adventure map (and bashing my head against the wall without Creative to help me) and I already have enough diamonds for all the tools I need and the diamonds the players will need for weapons. Even with that said, I CANNOT pass up on a diamond. I've actually thrown Gold Ore into lava intentionally, but diamonds... I can't get enough of that sparkly stuff.

Another thing that I think would be helpful is the ability to put place markers on your map. (This cave is cool, but I'm fully loaded up right now. I'll mark it so I can check it out when I come back.)

Seriously. Don't they get all bent out of shape when someone posts or creates a video that they've seen Herobrine in the game? (Another class of idiot altogether.)
"The joke is funny every time I tell it, but ONLY if I tell it." - Jerry Seinfeld (probably not, but it seems like something he'd think.)
Judges? BZZT! Incorrect. The correct answer is, "it stopped being funny after the first time (and almost before then)."

More productive, that's for f--king sure. My 360 used to get a good 3 hour workout 3-4 days a week, maybe 4-6 on the weekends. Now, I've had days where I've played 12 hours straight (it doesn't help that I hurt my back and have been out of work for the past 7 months.) I found an RPG group and have been working on a Quest map (which with no creative mode has taken almost 2 months) and there is no way in Hell I would have spent all that time playing Modern Warfare 3 or NHL12. I might have even finished Arkham City, but more likely, I would have been writing, drawing, and just generally being a living breathing human being instead of the block-breaking automaton I have become.
And the sad thing is, I wouldn't change it. I'm thoroughly addicted to this game. I have actually been making a conscious effort to limit the amount of time I play now. For the past few days, I have managed to not play during daylight hours, and still get to bed before 1 am.

Seriously, folks, cut them a little slack. I knew the bed fact, but only because I poured through the Wiki when I first started playing in June. There are things I have learned by trial and error (dropping items on a pressure plate only works if its wood) and things I have learned by seeing them in YouTube videos (you can put paintings over open doors to hide them) that I hadn't thought to ask, and would have liked finding out about from other players.
People who sow hate reap it.

It is highly annoying, because just short of building a shelter around the damned pressure plate (which will totally bring attention to the plate itself) I can't find a way to keep these mobs from foiling my plans. I can't really place blocks to block the path, because the traps are far enough along in the map that Even if I kept a block there and removed it just before the players spawned, passive mobs would still have time to spawn and trample all my hard work.
Anyone have any outside-the-box ideas?
I guess I might have to wait until post update and make a nearby farm to keep the mob number controlled?

Not to mention punctuation.
Again, save often.

Can you over-save? I don't think so. But my suggestion would be to create an 8x8 horizontal "column" of dirt under water, and then hollow it out and line the inside with glass. Then you can have air, and all you'll have to do is chip off the last layer of dirt from the outside.

In the next update, when we get the new mobs, which of them will have the discoverable spawners in dungeons, and which will be spawnerless, like Creepers? Also, will existing spawners in pre-update worlds change? I am setting mob spawner traps, and I'd hate if my skeleton trap suddenly became a silverfish trap, or some garbage like that.
Thanks in advance for any useful answers,
Kenn

Lamentably, I'm obfuscated by both of your diatribes. Kindly elucidate.
