To put all of this into perspective, how old are you?

    ~23 assuming my math is right. (6719 hours = 0.7665 years, 0.7665 / 0.033 = 23.22)

The crash is caused by the game running out of memory. You have only allocated one gigabyte of ram, try increasing that to at least four gigabytes.

I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be compatible. Should be fine.

    Quote from Scripthookv»

Can It does 3 million tnt with a slow pc. Can it?

Since the TNT entities and particles disappear too fast, no amount of TNT is going to crash most computers. 3 million, 300 million, doesn't make a difference.

Even pausing it and letting the entities accumulate doesn't do a whole lot, it seems to slow to a crawl but not crash. Kind of underwhelming lol.

posted a message on How much tnt does it take to crash up your game?

Did a little test on a superflat world made entirely out of TNT (all the way from the void to the height limit). Looks like they've optimized the game enough lately so that it won't crash even with as little as a single gigabyte of memory allocated! Nice work, Mojang.

Honestly the only reason you'd crash would be from the items dropped on the ground building up too much, or if you were to pause the game and let the explosions play out before unpausing (since it looks like the game still does explosions when paused, which causes the TNT entities to build up until you run out of memory).

Just leaving the game unpaused and letting everything explode seems to never crash your game as long as you have enough RAM allocated. Neat.

posted a message on Will this laptop run Minecraft and record smoothly?

The Intel Iris Graphics 550 is arguably very poor. I would recommend getting something better if you plan on recording.

However, the graphics card seems to be the only real concern. The rest of the computer is very good, from what I can tell.

That would be mouse acceleration causing that, most likely.

If you're using Windows, go into the control panel, select mouse properties, then go to the Pointer Options tab.

Uncheck "Enhance pointer precision" and press OK.

    Optimization is a powerful thing!

Also, it's worth nothing that Microsoft has contributed nothing to the main game so far. They purchased Mojang and that's about it.

    posted a message on Mushroom

Mushroom placement is based on the light level. They can be placed on most blocks, as far as I know. Make the area darker and you will be able to place the mushrooms. Mycelium and podzol bypass the light level requirement, however.

Podzol can be found in taiga forests, and mycelium can be found in mushroom biomes.

posted a message on best block for building house?

Cobble's pretty good, and it can pair nicely with wood to make a good house if you like.

If you're worried about mobs, try building an exterior wall around your home a fair ways from your house. It'll also give you a nice yard that you can use however you like. You can do a big one that you can walk on and snipe from or a one layer thick one with fences on top. For materials, cobble is an obvious choice, but stone brick can make help smooth out the look of it.

Yep, good to go. Interestingly, the only ads on the site seem to be a couple ads hosted only by google, which is nice to see.

Mind if I take the texture from this to make a minecraft animation??? Thanks!

    BUMPED

From what I can tell, the red dragon texture is actually from the Panterly Pack (specifically the customizer). Ask the creator of the Panterly Pack instead.

(Also, since you necroposted, there's a good chance that both of our posts will be removed.)

posted a message on Another version of old-alpha Minecraft is now available in the launcher
    Quote from Videogamer555»

Thanks. I just found that. It seems they've updated their website recently. I've now written them about the new old-alpha version added being a duplicate. I hope they fix that, and if they really did have something new to add, but simply accidentally put the wrong file or folder on their server, that the actual CORRECT entry be added soon, so that I can have a truly NEW version of old-alpha MC to play. Why do I care about the most ancient versions? Because it's cool to get to see step by step, how game development progressed and experience what each version is like when playing it.

As for Notch leaving. I haven't heard about that before. Why did he leave? Who's running the company now? What's Notch doing now? Does this mean that he also took his development computer with him, that had all the oldest files on its harddrive, so that any of the oldest development versions (such as Alpha, Indev, and several of the Infdev versions too) that have not yet been put in the launcher, will now NEVER get put in the launcher?

He mostly left because he didn't want the popularity. According to Notch, "I’ve become a symbol. I don’t want to be a symbol, responsible for something huge that I don’t understand, that I don’t want to work on." (His full blog post can be found here.) I'm pretty sure he's since moved on to his own personal endeavors (mostly making small games, which is what Minecraft was intended to be initially). I have no idea if he took the older development versions with him. For all intents and purposes, Jeb is running Mojang at this point.
