Also, when using the Prying tool to connect two hand-things that go on the tracks (completely forgot the name lol) I've got this crash:

posted a message on Pocket Nether Link 2.4 - Never Venture Into The Nether Again!

    Description:

If you're like me, you despise the Nether. It's inhospitable, repulsive and can be a source of a major lag, yet eventually you will have to visit the dimension in hunt of exclusive materials. No longer is this the case. Instead of building up a regular Nether portal, you can light a hand-sized portal. Although entities aren't able to cross to the other dimension, items passed through it are infused with the magical properties of the Pocket Nether Link and are transformed into their Nether equivalent.

    Recipes:

    Quartz Ore World Gen:

Quartz ore now spawns in the Overworld at y-levels 20 to 30 for all your decor needs!

    Details:

      • The Pocket Nether Link does not get used up in crafting, but it has a limited amount of uses(512) before you must craft another.
      • Overworld Quartz Ore has similar properties to Nether Quartz Ore.
      • Config Options:
        • Can enable skeletons to drop their skulls at a given % chance.
        • The Pocket Nether Link's recipe can be change to use 8 Obsidian instead of 4.
        • You can change the durability of the Pocket Nether Link.
        • You can disable Oveworld Quartz Ore Spawn, change Y-level spawn, or the rarity of Quartz Ore.
        • You can disable Pocket Nether Link Recipes if you only want the Quartz Ore part of the mod(Version 2.3)

posted a message on Configurable Health 2.1-Customize Max Health for Players and Mobs

Configurable Health allows you to set the player's and most mob's max health and starting health via a configuration file.

For example, a player config of:

    "player config" {
    I:playerMaxHealth=60
    I:playerStartHealth=38
    }

Results in the following when a player spawns:

    playerHealth

Additionally, Heart Fragments can drop from mobs and be combined to make a heart that increases the player's Max Health by 1 Heart. If the player dies though, they will lose all hearts gained.

The drop rate and max amount of hearts a player can obtain are configurable as well. Heart Fragment drops can be disabled as well if desired.

posted a message on Configurable Health 2.1-Customize Max Health for Players and Mobs

Given that I don't have enough time to look it over at the moment and fix another few issues, I'm pushing the mod to GitHub.

I've been considering this for a while now, so if anyone else has the time and would like to submit any commits to the mod, I'll take a look at it and push it for later version releases.

GitHub link is in the OP now.

posted a message on The Dragon Thread: Let's Get the Red Dragon Into Minecraft!
    Quote from FishFruit»

I think there should be a water Dragon, which is more eel like. It would be smaller, skinnier, and have fins. It would not have wings. It would also not hurt you, but instead blow bubbles, whcih force you to float back up to the surface. They would live in under water caves, and be friendly to other water dragons, as well as squids. It would fight guardians with it's bubbles.

    What do you think?

Also, I think that all 3 current dragons should fight each other if they come in range of each other.

But, wether you add this or not, Support

Water dragons would be sweet to add as well. Brings more to still empty oceans.

This definitely needs to become a mod at the very least. Is there anyone who would be up for the task?

posted a message on 1.9 Combat Ideas: Lances and Shields

Instead of simply knocking off/dismounting a player from a horse on a successful lance strike, the player knocked off should enter a special fall animation and land flat on the ground stunned for a period of time. This would make the lance especially useful against other mounted players over a simple sword.

Also lance damage should greatly factor in the current speed of the horse. It would be silly to just slowly trot around standing players and poke them with the lance.

Recipe 2: This one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You can just smelt the Quartz Ore and get Quartz, why would you combine the Quartz Ore with another item to get the Nether Quartz Ore and then have to break the Nether Quartz Ore to get the Quartz? Experience, maybe? Still doesn't make much sense to me.

The recipe is mainly there for mod compatibility or the rare off-chance that you want the Nether Quartz Ore block itself. Overworld Quartz ore also drops experience.
    Quote from tennisdude10»
Recipe 4: I'm not too sure what I think of this one. I mean, obviously sand is the main ingredient. A bone and rotten flesh... it could work. Personally, I would have gone with a slimeball.

It's a fairly common resource in the nether, giving it a scarce ingredient I feel would discourage the use of the recipe and either make the player go to the nether or leave the player unable to progress, especially when it can be a base component needed in vast amounts to this and other mod's recipes.
    Quote from tennisdude10»
Recipe 7: This one also seems too OP. If you have obsidian, you're gonna have a crapton of coal and iron. And with the Nether Wart easy to get... just too OP.

Iron goes by so quickly as it's used in so many recipes(especially with the inclusion of other mods). I feel like using iron is enough of a deterrent for the player to just make a stack of blaze rods...most of the time. I may add glowstone dust to the Blaze Rod recipe as well.
    Quote from tennisdude10»
Recipe 9: This one seems a bit too difficult to get. Gunpowder can be hard to get, unless you have a mob farm. Perhaps you should a glowstone BLOCK instead of just the dust?

    Looting enchantments are nice.
    Quote from tennisdude10»
Recipe 10: This one... this one doesn't make any sense to me. So, you added the 3% chance of skeletons dropping their skulls, which is 0.5% more of a chance than Wither Skeletons have of dropping their skulls. So if you get the skeleton skull, you have to put it through the Portal Link, but you ALSO have to add a ghast tear, which, using this mod, uses a recipe that while isn't too hard to make it isn't easy to make. And THEN you have to get a DIAMOND! I think that you should change the recipe to the Portal Link, a skeleton skull, and coal.

The problem here is, well, the Wither is too dangerous. Although Looting doesn't help the drop chance of Skeleton Skulls(atm), it is still fairly easy to obtain the skull, especially if you include mods that also add a head dropping mechanic(usually at a high chance). Coal is obviously not enough to stop players from creating armies of Withers to rain down on their enemies. The diamond helps discourage the mass production of Withers and in addition with the ghast tear, makes for a tier progression one has to make before their attempt at fighting a Wither.
