I have the real update and whenever I load a world minecraft black screens and crashes. An error report shows up for half a second so I haven't been able to ss it. Anyone able to help?

No, I didn't see that. I saw the normal bit of sky and then suddenly surroundings like when the game usually renders at startup. It's just that I took damage right when it rendered, which isn't normal.
This happened yesterday the first time I started up after the update, this morning, and a little bit ago.
It seems like I'm being dropped into the position I saved at. In this case, I'd have been dropped through a dirt roof.
I didn't see any other threads about this, is anyone else having this problem?
Starting a new world didn't help either.
