And no you can't turn potions off. I like the structure, I just want to have some elements remain the same, notably the lack of a blatant RPG addition like potions.

first you don't want potions, now you want more features like potions? contradicting statements much?

To me, potions are useless, i don't really care for them at all and i don't like items with duration.

For example on the Negative Potions, why would i possibly want to make a potion that is bad for me? :dry.gif:

your posts gives me some insight on your situation, do some research on potions and you would find negative effect potions can be purposed for fighting enemies, by all means drink the potion of Poison, but It would be more effective to throw it at an enemy.

It sounds like you dislike a system you do not even understand, this kind of blind negativity is akin to xenophobia and racism.

People who are saying all these features are "optional". With all due respect have you taken muliplayer into consideration? It's not really optional when people are murdering others with super enchanted armor and potions. And the hunger bar isn't optional in any way. I think Minecraft could've had a nice game if it stopped at 1.7.3 with ravines and abandoned mines added. And the other animals dropped food.

It IS optional when you decide with your server community which Update to play on, and IIRC if you change your difficulty on a server your hungerbar's difficulty is overridden, just like in single player mode.

The fact that you speak of the answer you need, and disregard it at the same time is hilarious, YOU need to stay in your 1.7.3 world, safe from potions and food, enchantment systems, alternate worlds, dragons, and boss fights, steer clear of a diverse buffing system, throw away the level capabilities, and stick to the same old system you have been playing for months now.

If you are scared of the direction Minecraft is steering towards, jump ship, because your opinion seems so important, how about you join forces with Mojang and alter the course? oh that is right, that is because your opinions are not in line with Mojangs, all of a sudden when you don't like something it is a holy grail with no counter argument that for one reason or another has better merrit than the opinion of the mass majority of the in development community?

I have yet to see any of these thread topics actually converse in a monotone environment, with full statistical polls being held by actual community directors, with full Development backing and oversight, when this happens, our opinions can be all heard, under a monitored environment, this "open airway, I don't have to respond to things I am incapable of conceiving in a conversation" is sickening because I have brought up points that the OP is not even willing to respond to, well we all want some questions directly answered, with no witty puns, argumentative attitudes, and harsh disregarding of solid facts that have been placed before community members to witness.

then and only then can this be some sort of fair trail to be heard.
