3. What brings you to our community? I'm coming back after a several year break, and single player is lonely.
4. What are some of your goals for this server? All the diamonds. All of them. Also, I'm known for lovely architecture.
5. Tell us a little about yourself! I'm an independent designer, doing both graphic design and woodworking in my free time. Several years ago I had my own texture pack, and I'm seriously considering bringing it back.
Getting the feeling of steelfeathers enchanted when looking at the glowstone.
It was inspired by Steelfeathers, and I was talking to her on skype while I made it. But, her pack was 32x and mine was 16x, so it clearly can't be a stolen texture. I assure you all of my textures were made by me.
Thanks for taking this up, guy with a weird name who I always have to look up in order to spell it right.
Hey guys. I've been away for a while for personal reasons, and it's safe to say that I probably won't be coming back. My textures are now freely available.
It's been a joy growing and tweaking KabPack over the years, and helping the community.
Hey guys. I've been away for a while for personal reasons, and it's safe to say that I probably won't be coming back. Kyctarniq has my permission to maintain the map and start a new thread.
I'm glad this map has become so widely used by texture artists and video reviewers, maintaining it was a joy. Keep the feedback coming for Kyctarniq - it's not the easiest thing in the world to arrange every block and texture in the game. I've had a few moments myself where I've released a version missing an obvious block like dirt, grass, glass, or glowstone.
Hello! A week or so ago I found a version of your showcase that I loved, but now I no longer have it! I was wondering if maybe it's a version you still have posted somewhere? It was very much like the "beta" one you have up for download on curse, where the mobs were spawned using dispensers, but it also had a quartz "temple" building that showed off all the paintings. Is this a version you built, or was it someone else's edit? I'd love to find it again, it seems to have fled from my recycle bin.
*Edit* After reading into some earlier posts, I think it might have been a very recent version you put out for 1.5... but I can't seem to find any download links more recent than the "beta" link on curse!
Nevermind, I found it! Silly me. I absolutely adore this showcase by the way. I think the layout has the perfect combination of laying the blocks out and showcasing the world in its natural state. I will definitely be using it to showcase my texture pack once it's done, and your showcase has already been invaluable in the process of creating it. Thank you very much! ^.^
I'm glad you're all enjoying it. I've been quite busy lately on the trying-to-get-a-job front, so you can thank kyctarniq for the latest maintenance. To be honest, I haven't even had a chance to look at his museum yet.
Wait, so using this and an unstitcher will unstitch all tiles and name them correctly? Also what's the two pink outline tiles underneath the comparator and pistons?
And unless I missed it, I don't see redstone dust in there.
The unstitcher won't work with this. It's only intended to contain all the textures and their names. The two pink outlines are the redstone overlays, which are blank by default, and the redstone wires are beside them.
The deal with beauty - there are some looks that everyone will appreciate, and some that are loved by some and hated by some. The latter is loved to a greater degree than the former will ever be, in spite of the split in opinion.
I've heard that there is, if you alter a language file that's apparently in the (current?) texture-pack file format, but I've honestly never tried, nor looked into it.
I think I've seen a pack achieve it before, though...I might be able to dig it up if I remember what pack it was.
I think I'll try searching for a tut. on it, as I feel one did exist. If I don't edit this post, assume I couldn't find one.
The lang folder has the localizations, but there's 66 of em.

Yes it does. They are located underground. There's a beta version on curse that Kyctarniq updated with mobs and monsters, at http://minecraft.curseforge.com/worlds/kabs-texture-pack-showcase/files/5-showcase-r13-1/

See mom and dad, I'm not a failure.

It's still active, but it isn't yet updated to 1.5. We're waiting on bukkit. If you can downgrade to 1.4, you'll be able to get on.

Excellent and thank you

I think it's bloody fantastic.
