So I have had this problem for a while and I have tried to look up my answer to this problem and i could not find anything so here is my problem I'm hoping you can help me. So i made a server on a laptop at my house running off the wi fi and i'm using the ip address from the whats my ip thing but anyway i made one on there and it worked out and was fine but after a while more and more people joined which was still fine because it was mainly friends but just 2 days ago my dad bought a home computer and I thought that if I made a server on the home computer i could keep running it so I made the server and got it running like normal but when I tried to connect to it with the same ip (note that this is in the same house so it is the same ip) it would not connect. So i tried turning on the server on my laptop and then it worked. So my problem is is that i want the server to run off the home computer and not my laptop and I'm new to the whole port forwarding thing too. If anyone can help that would be great. Oh and both are on a mac so if anyone can help i would be happy. I'll check up on this post in a couple of min.

Well I went to update to 1.8 and I got
Failed to Launch
Fatal Error(4): Connection reset
Retrieving: lwjgl.jar 5%
I just want to fix this so I can go back to playing minecraft.
I have looked and all the things I find don't work. Yes, I have reinstalled Java and I have deleted the minecraft folder completely but, neither of these things work.

I think it will be delayed a few days. If the pre-release was not leaked. Then it would be released tommorow. But since we are reporting so many bugs it will probably be delayed a few more days. What do you think?

yes its just jto500 to minecraft.net i did not buy the game but i re installed minecraft even with the login info from my old account i dont want to haft to re buy it for 15-20 dollors again
ummm? your internet was probably slow and it couldn't connect, and it will say login failed, it did it to me like 5 times yesterday :laugh.gif: , and just change your pass
no its not that i can use my friends but not mine. his is linc984 mine is jto500 mine is not working but his is its wierd i can log on i did today but only with my friends account i canged my password but i still cant get on it
