I am creating a large scale mode of my home with 1 inch real world being equal to 1 in game block. I want it to be good, considering how much time and effort it will be, so I need to have the right blocks. One in particular being one for my home’s hardwood floor. Anyone have any ideas for a block I could use?
Thanks acornco, that helps a lot! I was working in the absolute wrong direction, I was probably thinking that spawning worked like in Java from watching Hermitcraft, so I’m glad that got cleared up.
Because, as I said, mob spawning works completely different on bedrock. Research spawn mechanics on bedrock and you'll see why your design doesn't work.

I have only made it in creative as of yet, it’s not working in the creative testing world and I’m trying to perfect the design to build it in my survival world. I just want to know why the mobs don’t spawn in the room.(11 wide, 11 long, 2 high made from smooth stone)
I’ve created a mob farm, and it works perfectly except for one thing. Mobs don’t spawn in it. The spawning chamber is 11 long, 11 wide, and 2 tall and made of smooth stone. Any ideas why mobs won’t spawn? And it is completely cut off from all light sources.
