Yulife posted a message on Harvest Festival ~ A Harvest Moon mod ~ Cooking, relationships, townships and more! This mod was created by joshiejack, Yulife and Girafi
Harvest Festival is a mod heavily inspired by the Harvest Moon series of games. Adding crops andanimals, that need to be cared for in order to make the most out of them. Village and relationship building with the introduction of new NPCs and the builder, who will help you build a town for the people, as well as guide you on your way. Seasons that affect day length and daily weather are also included. Cook dishes with crops that you have harvested or gather minerals in the Mine!
- Seasons that affect day length, what you can grow and the appearance
- 13 new crops, and crops that need to be watered to grow
- Livestock including cows, chickens and sheep that need to be cared for and can produce better products
- A builder where you can buy buildings, in order to build a town
- NPC Interaction, improving relations to progress further
- Shops where you can buy items, animals and more
- Ability to sell your crops, fish and other things to progress
- Mine with infinite floors for you to traverse for selling or upgrading tools
- Cooking system, using ingredients for varied options
- CraftTweaker Integration so you can configure what you can buy/ship/etc
To get started you are going to need to summon the Harvest Goddess. Any flower works for the ritual. Once you summon her, there is an option for a tutorial, this will guide you through the rest of the mod. In order to summon the goddess you will need to do the following:
"Can I use this in my modpack?"
Of course, that's why we created it!
"How do I install this mod?"
Either you use the Curse Launcher and search for this mod in the Profile Creation or download this mod and put it in an instance of yours alongside of Forge (latest forge, not recommended forge!!).
"Help, my game is crashing!"
Make sure to check you are on the latest version of the mod since the bug may have been fixed. Also Java 8 is required! Regardless make sure to post your issue on Github provided in Support.
"Is this mod compatible with X mod?"
Only through playtesting we can see which mods are compatible in some aspects and which are not (e.g. Season mods). If there are any incompabilities or issues, make sure to report them on Github so the mod can run as smooth alongside of other mods as possible!
"I want to help with textures/code/etc!"
If you do, please make an issue on Github before so you don't create something we won't merge in or so that you don't make something that has already been done.
"What the mods licence?"
MIT.
"Does the mod do anything to vanilla game?"
There are some changes (mostly configureable, see the config), including:
- Vanilla seeds being useless = Use the mods seeds!
- Water not making farmland wet = Use your watering can!
- Crops die in SSP if they are out of season, in SMP just stop to grow
- Seasons are 30 days long in SSP, in SMP 365 days
- You can sleep at anytime
- Day lengths change depending on season
Make sure to report bugs, issues or any suggestions that you have that will further improve and fix the mod, especially mod compability! Also make sure you are on the latest version, if you can. Hop on Discord if you wanna chat with us or just ask some simple questions or tweet us!

The_WeatherPony posted a message on The Seasons Mod - Minecraft 1.7.10 & 1.8.9, release version '3.0-alpha2' (updated 19th of July, 2017)Posted in: Minecraft ModsXaldin - I'm needing to rewrite parts of the opening post -- look 3 posts up from here
In case you're feeling lazy...Quote from The_WeatherPony»The Curse page has now been approved, and both of the new builds of the mod have finally been approved (took a few hours for the 1.8.9 build for some reason) as well as my request for non-experimental status. While I start reworking parts of the opening post for this thread, you can start using the new builds already by visiting the Curse or CurseForge pages. Both of these new builds are distributed as ".jar", which is intentional, and require the new PML 10.1.
TMPM - umm... you realize that it's just sorted by most recently posted in, right? :| -

SpitefulFox posted a message on [TC4 Addon] Forbidden Magic - v0.575Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from Acid_MonocleTheEpic»Can you do something with ProjectE? I like both of these mods and I think ProjectE has a lot of potential to be more than just an OP mod.
Having some kind of interaction with one of the "alchemy" mods is appealing, but at this point does ProjectE exist outside of that github? I'd wait until the mod becomes more solidified before considering something like that. -

Monstrel posted a message on Mariculture 1.2.4.2 ~ Updated 21/04/2015Using the latest Mariculture on 1.7.10 with a number of other mods, notably BoP, I'm experiencing odd terrain generation near shorelines. Along chunk boundaries I see abrupt elevation changes which is the clearest indication that something is amiss. I found 2 locations on a test world in which the issue is very obvious, where shorelines appear near imaginary lines extending from 0,0 where |X|==|Z| (NW, NE, SW, SE).Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I'm including a pair screenshots taken from 2 maps generated with the same seed, in the same location and facing direction. The only difference is the inclusion of Mariculture. -

mDiyo posted a message on New format - wasting spaceI have a 1600x900 monitor on a windows 7 PC, and what I'm seeing with the new format is completely unacceptable. Roughly 50% of the space on my computer screen has nothing on it but filler, and that's scrolled down in the middle of a forum post!Posted in: Feedback Archive
The text is smaller on posts than it used to be. This adds more to the impression that everything is crammed into the center of the screen. The lack of contrast between the contents of a post and the outside makes it feel like everything runs together. The blue sidebar attracts attention and feels like it's supposed to be important, but is blank.
Looking at this image, the brown navigation bar that tells you where in the forums you are is not apparent that it lets you move around the site. It looks like an information bar, something to ignore. There's more wasted space above the "Search Minecraft Forums" bar, and the twitter, facebook, Youtule(sic) boxes look cramped and shrunk too much.
The feedback button on the bottom right is missing with adblock (possibly noscript, but I do have scripts allowed on here), and quite frankly the huge banner ad on top of the screen makes me think it's an unprofessional site out to make money at the expense of readability.
Overall the site needs more contrast to make things more readable and it needs to use more than 50% of the screen on all computers, not just mobile devices. -

Monstrel posted a message on [1.6.4 - 1.7.X] MineTweaker 3: customize your minecraft experiencePosted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from StanH
Thanks for posting it here. It's something that wouldn't pop up in any of my testing scenarios. It's interesting to see people writing large scripts, and not something I expected to happen. Either way; to complete the answers and correct possible misinformation:
- Splitting files doesn't help towards the 32k issue, as you already noticed. All files are packaged into a single packet.
- Seems you already figured out the syntax, grats as I even forgot the exact syntax myself
- Only scripts in the world directory will count towards the 32k issue, so scripts in the config directory won't cause any trouble.
I will make sure this issue is checked and fixed in the next MineTweaker release.
Thanks, Stan. I didn't set out to do anything too complicated, but I've been working on a mod pack inspired by Agrarian Skies. It has Metallurgy 3 in it, which is supported by Ex Nihilo and Ex Aliquo, but the the latter doesn't bridge over to Tinker's Steelworks. Between Minetweaker and Modtweaker, I set out to allow the Metallurgy bits that come from the Ex Nihilo sieve to melt in the Tinker's Steelworks High Oven. It's not terribly complicated, but it was working out to 10 or so lines for each of 38 materials, between a few lines of variable assignments and 3-6 lines of Steelworks modifications each.
Now that I've figured out array iteration, I can save a lot of redundant characters and make the whole thing much more compact. This is my entire Metallurgy/Ex Nihilo/Steelworks bridge now:
# Configuration for Ex Nihilo, Ex Aliquo and Metallurgy in Steelworks { # ingotsPerOre should match the value of I:"Ingots per ore" in TSteelworks.cfg ingotsPerOre = 3; mbPerIngot = 144; mbPerOre = mbPerIngot * ingotsPerOre; If you keep configs on both client and server, they will have to be in config/minetweaker in both clients and server. However, there are issues using mod item names on dedicated servers, but these are the same no matter where you store the scripts. These item name issues will be fixed in the 1.7 version but not (no way to fix it) in the 1.6 backport.
Ah, I was confused. I think I ran into the mod item names problem server side in my early testing and thought that the problem was that the minetweaker configs were in the wrong place. Now, I've pretty much settled on numerical IDs since I know they'll work everywhere. Thanks very much for clearing that up for me. -

Sorry about the delay again with 0.6 >.> The last few textures were driving me mad I believe I have someone who can help me finish them now... hopefully!

I am not ever going to even entertain an option of removing the entrance in to the mod. It sounds like something is seriously bothering you about something so innocent so it's clearly not a mod for you.

Achievement: Nah you don't need to have all the buildings. What will happen those is that some later game crops like cabbage could potentially be unlocked. So you could play around with that number and find one that unlocks the sprinklers but not the later crops if you don't want access to them yet.
You can get a new carpenter blueprint from the goddess at any time by giving her another 24 logs. You'd then have to build the town up from scratch. You won't get any of the free gifts again though, since that's based on the player. I do indeed have plans for a 'demolish' mode for the builder to destroy a building. I'm looking at putting that in 0.7 only because I have a bunch more buildings planned then, so it would fit in perfectly with that update and I don't really want to add even more to what I need to do to finish off 0.6. It's taking longer than I was hoping i would already.

Sadly this can rarely happen(not 100% sure on cause), your only option is to 'cheat'. I've changed mine gen slightly in next version so hopefully won't happen.
What version, could have sworn I fixed this unless I only fixed it for next version.
Edit: Update the mod manually, as I haven't updated the pack

Coming in the next update.

Oh god you shouldn't use those terrible third party sites...
1
If you're playing the pack, I disabled vanilla sheep in it. The carpenter sells beds though.
1
Fixed in 0.5.8. And nah it was because I didn't give wheat an ingredient, but i was adding a recipe for it in the mixer.
1
Fixed the bug for the beetroots, and also the recipes for next update. Which I'll probably release on Friday. Sprinklers are meant to be unlocked for purchase from the blacksmith after year 1. But can only be purchased on Saturdays.
