hi, love these shaders.. only issue we have is the foggy rainy atmosphere.. is there any way to change this or make it varied (some rains cloudier and some less)? i dont want every rain to feel like a super dark cloudy storm. thanks !
Sorry, but goblins are just too generic. Even if I were to make them into something else, they just sound like underground Barakoa. I'm going to have to turn them down
no problem. they arent very much like barakoa. maybe you can think of another mob that would make underground exploration more fun.
been trying to get this mod running well for a while. was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of some system that can deal with this mod and the way mobs spawn in minecraft.. ive been dickin around with it with my friends for a while trying different mob spawn control systems and we just cant seem to find a realistic balance. always the spawning is out of whack in some way. any help would be well appreciated !
[p]heres an idea for a mob. fairly detailed, not sure if this kind of coding is your thing:[/p]
Goblins
would be small pale green creatures with large noses, who could come
in a few different forms. Some would wear armor, and they could have
a variety of stone weapons, such as poison tipped swords (having less
duration than poison spiders). Goblins would have their own style of
caves which would spawn off large caverns. Players would be able to
tell a Goblin tunnel from a normal cave. They would have a certain
form to them, and be much smaller than normal tunnels. They would
have small underground 'villages' with little huts made of
cobblestone. The Goblin King would have a larger hut with a throne
with a treasure chest inside. The chest could spawn a good reward,
and there could also be smaller chests in other huts that would have
emeralds, slime balls or various other goodies in them. Goblins would
be purely hostile creatures, and they would join forces to attack the
player. If you found a Goblin den, it would be best to be well armed
and to make sure that you are prepared to face them. Goblin dens
could spawn in groups, with tunnels connecting each one. In this case
it would be best for the player to bring a team. Goblins would chase
a player for a good distance, and eventually, when left alone, would
wander back to their dens, or teleported if that coding is too difficult.
Goblins could sometimes be found in smaller groups above ground.[/p]
[p]
if you wanted to use this idea and change the name and concept from goblins to something that still suits the minecraft vibe, but is more unique, that would be cool too. i know there is already a goblin mod but IMO it was not done right.[/p]
[p]this mob would serve a purpose of making underground exploration more interesting and give a more lively immersive feeling that there is a possibility to find creatures with functions more than just walking around dead.[/p]
i think it is possible. if more sky is possible, more underground is. i saw someone working on it at one point, would like to find it. will post here if i do.
that one requires teleports though, and the caves are 'other worlds' like the nether.. looking for actually deeper caves rather than just more cave type worlds
looking to get some recommendations here for existing mods that may make the underground of minecraft more interesting. i know about the cave biomes mod but i dont feel it suits minecraft. a couple points that would be nice to find:
more interesting cave types, more than just mines and crevasses.
deeper underground (more to mine, deeper caves)
more cave / underground only mobs (other than bats)

is there a 1.7.10 version?

dang, scratch that one. it doesnt work with forge and apparently isnt compatible with other mods.

is it possible we will see a version of The MasterCavers Underground World 1.7.10 mod that works with the currently up to date version of forge?
i love the look of this mod. ive been searching for something to make caves more interesting for a long time.

the portal idea seems sloppy to me.

are there any screenshots to show how this actually works in the game?
stained glass + glowstone?
