As a full disclosure, I was recommended to apply to Stonewick by the poster ThatGuy27 above. We're decently close friends (at least, I like to think so...), and both have been searching for a new game to play as we're both a bit burned out of League of Legends. We both have had a decent amount of Minecraft experience individually, so when he suggested looking for a Minecraft server to play on I told him I'd try to join any that he wanted to too. However, this is not a case of "both or neither". If he got in and I didn't, I'm sure he'd play as much without me as if I was there, and vice versa. While it'd be nice for both of us to make it, it won't affect how we view the server.

While I was shown Stonewick by him off of us searching for something to do, that doesn't mean I'm only applying because he told me to. Back when I first started playing Minecraft, I had found a server called GenAwsm that I genuinely enjoyed, a lot. It remains one of my favorite servers to ever have played in. The main draw of the server was its community - in the several years I was in it we went through several different types of server, from build orientated to a factions server, to everything in between. The main simularity in each one is the tightknit community that hung together and grew up together. Back then, we were all just kids. The server has long since faded away, and we've all since moved on with our own lives. However, that type of community really struck a chord in me, and I've yet to find anything similar to that.

I'm applying to Stonewick because I can see something similar to GenAwsm in it. I can see the hope that I might find a place to just enjoy the company of others, and not have to worry about life. Games like League of Legends generally have a really angry community - in such a competitive game, it's easy for people to lose themselves in frustration, and go day-to-day without care for anyone else. I want to find myself again, and I feel that Stonewick is a great place to do so.

Just for the fun of it, I'm making a data sheet for Inferno Mines.

Finished: Skylight A-C, Tree Farm, Amanita Cavern, Armory. That leads to a question: Should I make a topic for this (and if so, where?), keep updating here, or just not post anything about it cause no one cares?

Well good luck on your infinitely long quest.

So far, mushroom counting is the longest part. I could easily go to MCEdit and select the whole area, and do replace for the mushrooms and see how much, but that would be too easy and boring. I'm gonna hand count every. single. mushroom. (Amanita Cavern)

Just for the fun of it, I'm making a data sheet for Inferno Mines. Right now all I'm including are stuff with direct player involvement, such as counting beds, signs, etc. and listing the items in chests and whatnot. What I want to know is, is there anything else that might be interesting to put in the list?

As an example, here's what I have for the Tree Farm (Skylight A)

    Tree Farm
    Sign – 7
    Iron Door – 2
    Lever – 2
    Oak Wood – 148
    Double Chests – 2
    Oak Wood – 193 (341 (5 stacks + 21) Total)
    Bread – 4
    Rotten Flesh – 7
    Wooden Sword – 3
    Enchanted Stone Sword – 1
    S1F3U2 – 1
    Leather Cap – 1 (Black)
    Leather Tunic – 1 (Black)
    Leather Pants – 1 (Black)
    Leather Boots – 1 (Black)
    Bow – 1
    Arrow – 8
    Torch – 16
    Wooden Pickaxe – 2
    Iron Axe – 2
    Diamond Axe – 1
    Enchanted Stone Shovel – 1
    E1 – 1

    Crafting Table – 1
    Dirt – 2
Italics means inside the chests, underlined are the enchantments.

I have enjoyed, I have enraged, I have failed jumping over tight bars, I have sneaked the minecart puzzle, I have lost the light and ended up locked in a wooden room with no second chances but to carefully break the map and start the area over again.

Still, a truly great work. The constructions are awe inspiring and the texts were way to criptic sometimes, but overall the map is a complete and competent experience and a fit tribute to the myst series.

A video series in portuguese is on the way; It will take time, as I have to translate all the books to my language...

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed playing LoF! Post a link to the videos when you get it up, kay? :D

DOUBLE EDIT: Running out of inventory space, help?

TRIPLE EDIT: Downloaded backpacks mod, works like a charm.

You didn't need to keep everything xD

...so much text! Wow, I really need a rested mind to play this map. Had to stop cause my mind was exausted - and quite few games can claim that, like Portal 2. Such explendid map!

    Glad you enjoyed! ^^

    Jumping puzzles.

    I hate jumping puzzles.

Why did it have to be jumping puzzles?

PLEASE, tell me you at least have it lit up. The only thing worse than parkor key timing is doing it in the dark.

Seriously: It's one thing to say "You have to figure out which path to take jumping these pillars to get through". It's another thing to say "You have to follow the obvious jump path, but if you don't time the keys right you will fall and start over". And I have yet to see a parkor "puzzle" that isn't the second -- obvious but controller difficult.

    Trololol jumping puzzles <3
Don't worry, it's all the first.

I poked a look at the redstone, and my only guess is that something went wrong with a minecart system set in it. I'm gonna go look at the bridge tomorrow, I'm really tired atm.

Glad you guys are enjoying LoF! :D
