I know, but the Idea was me and a friend (not on my local area network) could play on a particulate world, without having a server running. Then I could still play it single player when I wanted, and just give him the new port every time I opened it up.
You'll need to use the actual server software for that, LAN does not support what you want to do
You'll need to purchase a domain from a registrar like NameCheap or GoDaddy. Once you have one, you'll need to set up a subdomain (mc) and point it to your server's IP address like Rmarmorstein mentioned above
Why would you want to use Hamachi to connect to a game that is on your own network? The only reason people use Hamachi is to get around port forwarding their routers. There is no need to port forward with a LAN server since only people connected to your network are able to connect.
Aren't priority in batches on a first come, first serve basis? Like if I put my app in right after a batch gets done and the new one starts being worked on, then in the batch mine is in it would get looked at sooner?
For future reference anyway. I haven't actually applied.
Yes, your application would be in the next batch (it's a queue-type system, first in first out). However, once it's in the apparatus system there is no guarantee in which order the applications will be processed. While I can't speak for the rest of the admins, I never look at applications in order.
As for experience, none is required. A bit is useful, but most of the tools we use are in-house anyway so most of the "experience" we'd look at is user to user interaction (most of which we glean from user's posts) and not "how well can I use x, y or z forum software tools".
Like post count and reputation, the number of stars you have is completely irrelevant and shouldn't be used to judge yourself or another user. People are petty and look for any excuse to "downvote" a user they either disagree with or don't like (one of the main reasons we don't have negative rep).
Maybe I should ask citric to disable the feature...
how would you rank up from sectional to forum mod?
are you chosen or is there another application?
There is no such thing as "Forum Mod". We do have a Global Moderator but the position is phased out. And to be chosen as a Forum Admin is usually a "we ask you, you don't ask us" sort of deal
Epic! Apparently I have the most rep than anyone on the site (Including Notch, admins, owners) Is this correct? I currently have 58 rep, it will get higher, it always does, but can someone answer? (An admin or mod to answer would be great!)
you don't have the most. I have 58 myself, and I know of several users with almost 100 rep...

There are no set times for those sort of things
