Well I tried out opencomputers for awhile. The "wiki" is terribly designed and many pages are only accessible from other ones. The amount of useful information on the wiki or in any of the tutorials I found was pitiful and never told me how to actually do or use anything. Oh look its hello world, alright now how do I do something useful... nothing. How do I use a robot... well manually typing in all the commands is nice but not automated and nothing at all anywhere shows one basic way to use robots. There is a list of all the api commands but it assumes you already understand how to make them work.

This mod lacks one major thing. A stepping stone from super basic hello world to all the advanced stuff. There is a lack of tutorials, how tos, and examples of how to use things in conjunction with each other. Could I figure it all out eventually? Yeah. But why waste my time when I can do the same thing in computercraft in minutes. I like the idea of the mod but the usability has a lot to be worked on.

Programming OpenComputers robots is very similar to programming ComputerCraft turtles. Programming in ComputerCraft and OpenComputers is both done using the LUA programming language. If you already know the LUA programming language pretty well from using ComputerCraft, it shouldn't be too hard to get into OpenComputers.

If you already know LUA, I don't understand why the lists of OpenComputers API calls isn't good enough for you. Here's the calls from the robot API: http://ocdoc.cil.li/api:robot

So I guess this means permission to use this in a modpack is denied isn't it?

Electrical Age is licensed under the LGPL v3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Lesser_General_Public_License

I'm not a lawyer, but I think you can redistribute Electrical Age in your modpack. If you make any changes to Electrical Age, then I think you have to release your modified source of Electrical Age under the LGP v3. You can read the conditions of the license yourself here: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.html

Will this mod be 1.7.10 anytime soon?

Click the link to download the 1.7.2 version on their website. It says it's for Minecraft 1.7.2, but it's actually for Minecraft 1.7.10 .

So is there any news on this? is it still being worked on? Its been some time since we've herd about any news/updates or even from EA himself.

They just released r41 eighteen days ago. It looks like they are still working on the mod; They are issuing commits to the code repository every few days. https://github.com/Dolu1990/ElectricalAge/commits/1.7.2-MNA

When I get a random upgrade, is there a chance that I could get something useless on my sword (like stonebound or redstone)? Similarly, is there a chance I could get something like jagged or nether quartz on my pickaxe?

Are laptops planned? A laptop would be an awesome addition.

They're working on tablets. There's not recipe for them yet, but you can get them in creative mode.

Does anyone know where to download BTW for minecraft beta 1.8.1? If you know, pls reply

Edit: Check the changelog to see what the latest version number of Better Than Wolves was for Minecraft Beta 1.8.1. Then do a google search for that version of Better Than Wolves. The link will be on one of FlowerChild's posts somewhere in this thread.

    Hello,
i have create a 3*3 screen tiers 3 (and gpu tier 3 too), so the max resolution is 160 * 50, but whatever what i set the resolution to, the in game screen dont take all the space the screen have.

Make your screen 3*2 instead of 3*3.

I like the tutorial map. It makes it a lot easier to learn with all the working examples everywhere.
