I don't have optifine installed. To get to the skin file, go to .minecraft, assets, skins, then you'll see the file for the skin.

Backup your .minecraft folder, delete the original, and then try launching Minecraft. That should refresh any resources and create a new folder, which you can then add all of your Minecraft worlds and mods to. You may need to reinstall Forge afterwards.

Do you have Optifine installed? Due to how it changes rendering, it can occasionally reference rendering classes that your graphics card doesn't support. I would recommend updating your graphics card, if available.

Also, how did you change the skin file? Opening it should have done nothing if you didn't save it. How did you get to the skin file?

posted a message on What's the minimum acceptable frame rate for you?

Lowest for me? 15 fps. With Optifine it tends to go from 30-45, but I can play the game fine with a low framerate. Unfortunately recent versions are terribly unoptimized that it falls below that without Optifine.

posted a message on Minecraft on Blu-Ray Player. Is it possible?

Maybe a highly limited version, but a Blu-Ray player lacks the processing power to handle a game as intensive as Minecraft. They're meant to play movies, and you don't need much for that.

First of all, we're not supposed to finish your suggestion, you are.

Secondly, free flight is overpowered and not needed as we now have Elytra.

Finally, feathers are so incredibly common that they might as well not be in the recipe at all. Just plain feathers are too cheap for something so powerful, and anything expensive enough to combine it with might as well just be the base ingredient of the potion.

    No Support.

I'd like to know the answer to this too, but in the meantime you can use /tp ~ ~ ~, and it will say "Teleported [username] to [coordinates]" to find your current position.

    Quote from Abyss66»

Fair points but I don't feel you read part of the thread. I did specify how they were inferior to wolves in speed. I did also mention how it would take more effort to tame than a wolf. It's the risk/reward trade off. Wolves can be tamed instantly with a few bones, Polar Bears require the effort to find a cub (they don't breed anyway), kill it's mother, tame it, then raise it to adulthood, which one may imagine is a particularly fair trade off for enhanced damage and health. I imagine if I were playing MC with this feature I'd probably not have more than two polar bears by the time I had a legion of wolves. And what's to say wolves and polar bears can't benefit from one another either? A few speedy attack hunters to whittle down defenses while the attacker comes for the final blow, or a tank to draw damage while speedy wolves attack from the sides.

This causes the suggestion to fall under something called the "more x, less y" trap. You have two things which are the same, but one is inferior in one area and just as superior in another. This leads to a suggestion that tends to be considered bland.

However I will take something from your comment and supply some balance between the two. Perhaps Polar Bears can only attack while you are riding them?

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. That make them less of wolf clones and more unique.

Well, makin' lots of progress. Finished up dungeon 1 (still shirking away from the boss), and I'm working on dungeon 2.

I feel ya. I once tried to make a dungeon and ended up just making it a simple gauntlet with basic enemies because commands turned me off.

First of all, your rant can very easily turn people off. You're welcome to your own opinion, and to be honest I hold similar views, but you should really tone it down if you don't want people to initially be biased towards "no support." In addition, while those are valid criteria, they don't apply to everything out there, such as aesthetics.

Polar Bear Taming: The idea of a mount that attacks is somewhat interesting, but if it just attacks by itself then it effectively makes wolves obsolete, so I would rather it can only attack while commanded and mounted. The manner of taming is interesting, but I would remove the "within 20 blocks" requirement.

Polar Bear Drops: I like the idea of a fur rug, but not a new armor tier. It's basically just leather and in order to be useful you have to make cold biomes more annoying. I also don't see how two things is a "menagerie."

Overall, I agree with the basic concept, and some of what you have is indeed a good idea. However, you want to avoid adding anything that's redundant, and part of this suggestion is that. Partial Support.

It's nice to know that Microsoft isn't blocking the game from being available on any platform, even competitors'.

I also saw Story Mode on the sizzle reel, though I personally don't care too much about that.

Do you mean rotating the display to portrait mode and then physically rotating the monitor on a pivot? My monitor can't do that second thing. If it could though I suppose that'd be a neat idea.

Yeah, that's what I mean. When you rotate these monitors, they'll automatically switch to portrait mode (at least the one that I've seen).

Well, I definitely would support something like this. However, some monitors can be rotated 90 degrees to help with this problem. Can yours?

posted a message on "New Replies" buttons does not seem to clear in my "subscribed Threads" lately.

I'm having a similar issue. The site isn't keeping track of what articles/threads I've read and my last read comment, instead taking me back to the same comment over and over again (which is especially annoying if that comment has been deleted, in which case the site sends me back to the first page of the thread).

Yeah, that is called a mega thread and is against the forum rules (though to my knowledge is not actually stated anywhere, but now you know).

Well, eating shouldn't be an issue in the next update. :D Like Dan said, and Optifine works wonders! Also, I don't reccomend playing until the next update, as the current version is terribly buggy.

This is what motivates me: simply knowing somebody wants to play my map. :)

Well, as an avid Zelda fan who needs something to tide me over until BOTW, I'm certainly interested in playing this myself. I'm not turned off by mods, as long as the finished product is worth it and uses them well.
