    Does anyone here use the OptiFine cape? I have it equipped but other players on my server cannot see it. They have the setting to show caps on.


    I'm just wondering if this works as designed or if there's some sort of bug in the matrix...

    Hi guys. I recently started a new server with some friends and decided I'd finally get around to making an AFK fish farm as I've been telling myself I'd do it for ages.


    Anyway, followed a useful tutorial and got it up and running. However, I'm having some issues with the storage of the items. I've attached an image to this thread of the setup; it's a fairly simple hopper-chest-hopper setup which goes down for about 15 double chests.


    However, I've been finding that items are getting stuck in the hopper I am pointing at in the screenshot. Nothing is really going through the chests while I AFK meaning the items are backing up in the water and eventually de-spawning.


    The weird thing is, the items tend to start filtering through when I open up/select the hopper and all works as it should.


    EDIT: there is usually a hardened clay block above the first double check (I removed it to show the chest/hopper).


    Any ideas?

    A blaze can detect targets up to 48 blocks away, and if you attack a blaze it will alert other blazes up to 48 blocks away, so their detection range is a lot more than 16.


    According to the wiki they only shoot fireballs from up to 16 blocks away (supposedly reduced from 32 in version 1.8), but I have also experienced fireball attacks from much further than that in more recent versions, so I think the wiki has that wrong, or the range has gone back up again and the wiki needs to be updated.


    Ah I should definitely have checked the Wiki, but it's reassuring to see I'm not the only one experiencing this. Gave us quite a fright when creating bridges!

    So... did the range of the Blaze get a buff? Went into a stronghold for the first time in a while on the latest version and they were hitting us with ease from 50+ blocks away! From my memory they never had this kind of crazy range...

    Are you near a fortress, by any chance? Regular skeletons can spawn there, which may be causing the issue.



    Nope, haven't seen one at all. Went in Spectator mode just to check it out and I can't see one for a 500-block radius at least.

    It's happened 2 or 3 times now and I'm 99% sure that neither the player has been attacked by another mob, nor has the pigman. The first reply seems like it could be the correct one at the moment even though I installed a fresh server with no mods to my knowledge, but I'll let you guys know.

    posted a message on All Nether portals in the Overworld are leading to the same Nether portal?

    Excuse me if this is a stupid question.


    We created a Nether portal in the Overworld which obviously put us in the Nether. The location wasn't great, so we created another portal in the Overworld hoping it would take us somewhere else, but no matter where we put the new portal it always takes us back to the original Nether portal (in the Nether). Is this how it works?

    So we just restarted our multiplayer server and this time we're using a Standard Minecraft sever rather than Bukkit which we had before.


    We've noticed that the Zombie Pigmen (when in the Nether) seem to aggro without provocation. I can only think that they are getting angry when we mine ores.


    Is this a new thing? It certainly didn't happen on our old server but maybe that's a Bukkit thing?

    Hey folks. I recently restarted my multiplayer server that I play with 3 or 4 friends. Last time, I had Kills in the sidebar and Deaths in the List layout. I set it up again and it worked for the first session we played, but now for some reason it shows Kills in both places even though I specified the location (List) to show the Death count.


    Here is the command I entered to display deaths in the List view: /scoreboard objectives setDisplay list Deaths.


    I'm on 1.11.2 if that makes any difference.


    Any ideas?
