I wouldnt download anything that anyone posts up that you donno or isnt from the mod author himself. You never know what they might stick in with it that can mess ur stuff up. Im anxious to get it too but Its better to play safe then sorry.

He didnt remove it, Curse apparently did for some reason. So THATS why he didnt remove it.

As for where 1.7.10 is and the file not existing or whatever, In the comments on the site for the download and even here like a few lines up the mod author said that theres some problem on Curses end with them taking his files down, NOT the author. Thats why this is still here cuse it might be back, so what would the point to removing this topic? And thats why you cant find the files. Be patient hes working on it.

The only way any mod can ruin the immersion of survival is if you let it. Just cuse its a part of the mod does not mean you HAVE to use it. BUT if you really want to be technical about it (Which this does hint that...) if you REALLY want to immerse yourself in survival, then what are you doing getting a mod that has recipes in it to begin with? True survival would mean figuring out EVERYTHING to yourself including recipes. Just saying tho. But like I said, your not forced to use all aspects of a mod. If you want it just for the recipes then just dont set it to utility/cheat mode. Its not that hard really.

Yeh, Well on server we finally got THAT to work, but mods arnt listed under the mods section now, and I cant seem to get trashcan to come up so I can use it, me and other one on server, same problem. Tried several different forge versions and such...
Well I finally got NEI to work on the server, by not putting it on the server. Problem now is tho it shows all the stuff on the far right, BUT when u click to select which mod you want to see, it dont show you the mod list (even tho you can see it in the creative mode window). I also cant get trash can button to show up regardless of what I do. Both world and global is cheats on, tried utility, tried trashcan button on and off, nothing. I would put the mod back on server, but it goes retarded and does what the last post says...So....ugh....
Ok, I have a problem. Ive been trying to get other mods to work and such, and just got forge 1299 which is the recommended atm. MC 1.8 version, and your latest 1.8 version of core and NEI both. On both computers, and on server NEI does not list the complete mod list, and of what it does list, the pages on the far right are not showing all of them (just 1 in the case of the picture im showing below) and i know theres more pages, and if you hover over the different mods, that bar that pops up showing whats in it comes up, but clicking on a mod to show just that page makes it go funny and show what I have on inventory behind it. Ill post both screenshots, one the mod list, and one what I see ingame. I tried removing and readding all the mod parts thats required to run NEI but to no avail.
Wait I just ran a test...it works making a totally brand new world, but it wont work in the old worlds. Is there a way I can fix that so it will work in the old worlds too? I did alot of work on the server and dont want to end up loosing it all =(
*EDIT* Well I remade the whole server using the 1299 forge still, and just put core in, then NEI both 1.8 latest verison, and absolutely NOTHING else. In single player on a new map NEI shows everything, but on server on totally new map, only 1 page still....donno what else to do...

*Edit* ok wow...it works, now I just gotta figure out how im going to incorporate it into what I got already lol. Took awhile to figure out how it works...now to figure out how to make it so that it will take stuff from the furnaces, then sort and put into chests oO this might take awhile lol....
its cuse its hungry....gotta feed it once in awhile. If it dont it will eat you hehe. Latest version doesnt do it for me so that should help ya Aroma rocks that way :).
