Hey Guys! People have always looked for way to find a way to play minecraft LAN with one account! Well Look no Farther For I have a soultion! It only takes a few simple steps to Able to your minecraft into changing your name in singleplayer mode and LAN.. WARNING You are unable to get on to servers, If you try to get on a server, Minecraft will give you a Message saying your account is not authenticated. But if someone was to find a way to get on a server.. They would have the same skin and have the same name as the character they have inputted.
Alright after thats out of the way lets get to the steps.. Which is what most of you proabibily will skip to.. Step 1: Find your way into your .minecraft Folder and go to versions. Step 2:Select the Version to want to change into your the new account name Step 3:Find the line "username ${auth_player_name}" Step 4: Change ${auth_player_name} into your new name..
After you do those steps.. You will be able to enter your friends/sibling World through LAn and your usernames will not conflict with each other.. Inorder for those steps to work to have to have a least one registered minecraft account with the newer Launcher.. Good luck! And LAN ON!

If you go to the Nether.. And want some Water. To Farm maybe. Then I found a way for you! All you have to do is get some Ice And Melt it. It will automatically make 1 water source. Its that simple!

You are proably running it through Minecraft V 1.7.2, Sadly this doesn't work with that version
