No beavers are neautral i never planned them to chop all this forest down and give it to me no. I said chop the tree down and you can collect it for yourself.
How would this mechanic even work? What's to stop the beavers from just chopping down every tree in sight? Also, beavers wouldn't be able to hit the top of the tree unless you give them hit range further than a human's (because they are shorter).
Having a grizzly bear as a neutral inhabitant of Redwood Forest would be nice, but only attacking players who aggro them, who attempt to steal their food or wander too close to their cubs, similar mechanic to the polar bears where they attack if you go near their cubs or attack the adults.
The bears could be seen feeding off the beehives in the Redwood Forest, but if the player is impatient and doesn't wait out "lunch time" at a safe distance, for say 2 minutes at over 16 blocks, they pay the price and now have to deal with another threat, who can deal 4.5 hearts damage per paw swipe on hard difficulty, very powerful and dangerous without armour and/or a ranged weapon.
Beehive farms would then need to be set up in a different biome to be beneficial to the player and away from hazard.
Either a plains, jungle, swamp or regular forest. But not Redwood forests as the grizzlies would be in them and would easily cause havoc to player honey farms.
Orangutan is meant to passivly give you food for a perioid of times, not just one. If you give the orangutan their favorite food they will continuously give you food for a day or two.
First these ideas that i have are wild ideas, i dont expect them to be added and if they are i dont expect them to be like i tell them to be here. If you didn't already know, Mojang does not own this forms nor do they visit here. If this wasn't what you were implying, please correct me.
Aggressive mobs, They will attack when you get in thier sight.
Blackwolf: They will attack you if you get in their sight, unlike gray wolves they cant be tamed. Do they have any extra health? Any unique drops? What biomes do they live in?
Crocodile, Aligator. These will live in the swamp/jungle. They live in water but can occasional be seen on land. They are fast in water but slower on land. I like the idea of more amphibious, and/or swamp and jungle mobs. I do, however, think that if a Crocodile or Alligator was to be added into Minecraft, it should have some unique drops. Scales or teeth or even something else could open up plenty of opportunities.
Beaver: this creature will cut down wood, I don't like the idea of a mob that can cut down all wood. I would say only trees, but even then, there would have to be some sort of limitation to stop them from cutting down entire forests. possible only if you tame it. I thought you meant they could do this in the wild at first. I'm not so sure about taming. Could you please elaborate? How would I make it cut down wood? On even more rare occasions you will see a beaverdam inside this beaverdam you can find variety of woodtypes, I think the wood should just be specific to the biome the beavers are found in. Maybe a mixture if there are different types of tree types in the biome (e.g. oak & birch in Forests). The reason I think this is because, if the Beaver is found in a forest per say, how would it get ahold of Acacia wood or Spruce? and if you´re lucky a gem. What are gems? Please give WAY more detail. Lives in the swamp and forested biomes. Maybe there could be a cool Swamp variant? Also, the thing is, though, beaver dams are just that, dams. Swamps are wide, open spaces, so I'm not sure how that would work, considering you called them dams.
Orangutan this creature will give you fruits if you treat them well. How would this work? You can tame them by giving them food. What type of food? In return they will randomly give you fruits from time to time. Any specific types? You specify "fruits" but there really aren't much in Minecraft. Lives in the jungle
Defensive Mobs, They will attack you if you attack them or if you get very close to them. There isn't really a current mob that gets defensive if you go very close to it. I think a mob that attacks you if say, you disturb it while it's resting, or you destroy what it's eating, could make for a good mob.
Brown bear, act as an ordinary polar bear but in forest biome. You can feed it honey to bear cubs to tame them, How would this be useful compared to other pets? and gets aggressive if you steal honey. If you steal honey from it? Or if you steal honey in general, like Bees?
Boar, acts as a normal pig but will attack you if you attack them. What biomes do they live in? Slightly bigger than a pig.
Scorpion, lives in the desert and will attack you if you comes close. Thier attacks do poison. Why is this useful? Deserts already have Husks as a challenge, as well as no food sources.
Snake, lives in the jungle and will attack you if you come close, Thier attacks do poison. So just Scorpions that live in the Jungle?
Baboon, Territorial, They own territories? gets aggressive and throws fruits/possible feces. at you if you enter thier territory. How would Baboon territories work?
Responses and feedback in Bold. I currently do not like these ideas so far as they are either lacking in important details or the mobs are useless. Please add more details and if possible find ways to make these mobs unique and useful.
Aggressive animals: No! Mojang intended to make all real animals either neutral or passive, in order not to rouse fear of said animals in people, especially children. Movie "Jaws" caused fear of sharks and let shark poachers do whatever they please without concern of ordinary people about endangered species.
Besides, I don't see why we should have two types of wolves, especially when their main difference is approach to the player.
For crocodile, I got better idea below. Friendly animals:
Beaver - No! If we implement them, we will either break non-aggression-principle of Minecraft Animals described above or force unrealistic passive behaviour of beavers. And in real life, they are viciously defending their territory. So, we will either teach people to exterminate them in-game and rouse fear IRL, opening way to poachers, or give them overly passive image of these animals that might put people in danger IRL.
Orangutan - alright concept, except why would I give them food to get food back? Besides, jungle already has two unique passive mobs, parrots and ocelots, and three unique (or semi-unique) plants - tree, cocoa and melon. And not-so-common vines. So no, thank you, this biome is full. Neutral animals: Brown bear - animal itself is not bad. Taming cubs sounds good, they should help in carrying artillery ammunition crates and scaring away Germans from Africa. Stealing honey - whaaat? Bears are honey thieves themselves, and should plunder natural hives while being not possible to be stung by bees.
Boar - uh, honestly, it should be the wild state of pigs in minecraft that yield normal pigs after being bred. Same with cows. If that's not the case, then no. And I guess this would increase difficulty of survival, considering that ATM they are easy food sources... So no, I'm not seeing Mojang adding that feature because of said difficulty increase.
Scorpion - Quite boring, and I think deserts are meant to be fairly desolate... but I don't have direct objections. I see them either as big as TK-3 tankette (unrealistic, so it may be aggressive mob) and drop something useful after death, or chicken-sized and as aggressive as llamas, while scaring away some aggressive mobs.
Snake, Baboon - again, like with orangutan, jungles are full. And baboon seems to be aggressive rather than neutral, so I think they have even less right to be implemented.
Additional: I think that fictional spider with 2 meters leg span able to walk on water via surface tension (akin to much, much smaller pond skaters AKA water striders) just as fast as on land and slowing-weakening-fatiguing bite that spawns in swamps would be better than crocodiles.
I don't support the ideas in the post as much as you, but I don't agree with what you say about making all real life animals passive or neutral. Making Beavers chop down wood in Minecraft is in no way, shape, or form going to encourage people in real life to kill Beavers.
You need to wipe those hearts from your eyes man. There's a reason why mods are mods. Just because they're good doesn't mean they belong in everyone's vanilla game. That's just not how proper game design works.
"Probably" is still too strong a word. Not trying to be mean here.
The Twilight Forest is just as Vanilla as the Nether is.
Minecraft has introduced new biome votes, which have so far updates the Taiga and soon to be Mountains. The most recent 1.16 update has also updated the Nether Dimension. Sure, I like new additions as much as the next guy, but these updates are still really bland in my opinion. We don't just need 2 new mobs, some new plants and a few new blocks with maybe a generated structure or 2. What we need is total revamps of biomes. Tons of new mobs, tons of new generated structures. Change the way biomes work change the way they spawn next to each other. Change the sizes of biomes add in more transitional biomes, change the height of biomes ect..... Same goes with the Nether. A dimension needs way more than 5 biomes, a few mobs and a few structures.
Maybe not adding Herobrine entirely into the game but having "clues" hinting to him in the form of generated structures or something similar I like the idea of. Maybe not being able to change already loaded chunks, but having a forest have a very low chance to be stripped of its leaves could be a cool addition, as with a sealed off cave with redstone torches or a small pyramid in the middle of the ocean.
Mods are a cheap substitute for the real thing, some people want more content to be standard with the official game. If devs want to rely on the modding community to fix the flaws with their game then they have bigger problems. And yes, Minecraft hasn't reached its full potential and could improve a lot with more passive and neutral mobs in the vanilla experience, whether Java or bedrock.
Perhaps the Alpine biome mountain could have a similar affect on mob spawns as the snowy tundra biomes in bedrock edition, where only pillagers, vindicators, skeletons and strays will spawn, and perhaps the phantom if nobody sleeps in 3 in game days, but no Creepers or other hostile mobs.
This would still be dangerous however as skeletons could shoot you off cliffs and send you plummeting to your doom if you're not careful, and this would balance the gameplay out enough to eliminate all other hostile mobs from play in this new biome.
With strategic play these mobs could be countered using snow golems, who will use their own knockback effect on snowballs to push hostile mobs off of cliffs, although personally I think they need a bit of a health buff to be useful for this.
I think that both the "polar" mobs like you listed, as well the normal ones, should spawn in the Alpine Forest. The reason I suggest both is because the Alpine Forest is sort of a transitional biome to Extreme Hills.
Hey everyone! Today I will be taking a look at the mentioned features, unused content and removed features from the Minecraft Wiki. A lot of these features listed on the Wiki are very minor, so I'll try to highlight the important ones. I will talk about whether they can be added to the game, as well as things that can be improved with them.
Mobs
Giants
The Giant is an unused mob that can currently only be spawned in using admin commands. The mechanics are not that great, and I think if this really needed to be in the game it would need not only a new skin, but a unique way to take it down along with some good loot from doing so. Where would it spawn, though? Maybe it can be found in a generated structure in the sky? Similar to the tale "Jack and the Beanstalk", you would need to climb up the beanstalk in order to reach the Giant.
The Killer Bunny
The Killer bunny can currently only be spawned in with commands. It attacks like a Spider, lunging towards you, and is quite fast, as well as dealing a lot of damage. I think that The Killer Bunny, if added naturally, should either be a very rare variant of rabbit, or spawn in its own "den", where it protects a long lost chest of treasures.
Zombie Horse
Despite being unused, the Zombie Horse's texture was changed with the new texture changes. I can't find a reason for this, other than the Zombie Horse finally being added naturally. The thing is though, that was a long time ago, so it probably isn't coming. Below is the original texture, next to a Skeleton Horse.
Although the Skeleton Horse can be found naturally in Minecraft, the Zombie Horse cannot. I think that just like the Skeleton Trap can spawn during lightning storms, the Zombie Horse should have a rare chance of spawning at night, with armoured zombies riding on it.
Illusioner
Probably the most popular unused mob in Minecraft. The Illusioner would be an illager that can not only blind you, but also go invisible and create clones of itself. I really like these attacks, and the Illusioner could make for a good high-tier mob to fight. The only thing is, though, it would need to drop some good loot. Maybe a potion which allows you to make clones of yourself? Or it could probably even drop a Potion of Blindness.
Vindicator, Evoker, and Witch Hoods
All 3 of these mobs were originally supposed to have hood textures on them. The hoods personally look really ugly.
Old Zombie Villager Texture
As Villagers are most likely a different species than the Player, it makes sense that this texture was removed from the game.
Gray Tabby Cat
Strangely unused cat breed which I think should just be added into the game.
Armed Zombie Villager
Armoured Zombie Villagers were once a feature in Bedrock but aren't anymore. Seeing how Villagers can't wear armour naturally, I think it makes sense that this was removed.
Magma Cube water damage
Magma Cubes originally took damage when wet. I think that this actually does make a lot of sense, and should be added back. Maybe they slowly turn into Obsidian or Cobblestone.
Indev MD3 Mobs
These mobs went by the names of Steve, Black Steve, Beast Boy and Rana. They don't fit Minecraft's style at all and I'm glad they are not in the game anymore.
Zombie Feathers
Zombie's used to drop Feather's. I think this could be re-added but only if it was slightly rare like how they can sometimes drop Iron or Gold.
Zombie Pigmen Cooked Porkchops
Zombie Pigmen used to drop Cooked Porkchops. I think that this could actually be a good idea, to make Zombie Piglins have a chance to drop Cooked Porkchops.
Zombie Pigmen
Ahhh, the Zombie Pigmen..... I'm not sure why we can't just have both mobs in game. The Zombie Pigmen could be like a more primitive version of Piglins in the Nether.
Pigmen
These were originally going to be the Villagers. Although silly, it would be cool if there were perhaps some very rare biomes that Pigmen lived in. Some point in this thread I talk about the Farlands. Maybe the Pigmen can be found there?
Angry Villager Head
This is an unused texture for an angry Villager. I think that this would be really funny in-game if you hit a Villager and then this happens to them.
Steve Villager Hybrid
Thank you Mojang for making this and thank you for not putting it into the game. Maybe as a small easter egg there could be like a 1/2000 chance that a Villager spawns like this?
Sea Monsters
Originally mentioned by Notch, with an example being the Shark. Now Mojang already denied adding sharks to Minecraft, so I think another good way to add sea monsters would be in the form of prehistoric animals.
"Prefix Mobs"
These are pretty much mob variants. We already have Strays, Husks, Drowned, ect..... The 3 examples Notch gave were "Burning Spiders, Giant Zombies, and Cobblestone Creepers". Although I'm not sure how a "Burning Spider" would work, a Cobblestone Creeper would be a good idea. Creepers are green to match the vegetation, and so they just look majorly out-of-place in caves.
Reindeer
Reindeer were a mob originally planned to possibly come Christmas of 2015. Even if they are just ambient, I think that they could make a good edition to snowy biomes.
Camouflage Shulkers
An originally, possibly intended feature with the Shulkers. There skin texture would change depending on I guess the block they were spawned on. I think this would actually be a good idea, and would be good for adventure maps.
Soul Fire Blazes
These were mentioned by Jeb although he also said he didn't want to make any more mob variants. This is an actual shame as the Nether update only brings the Nether's biome count up to 5 and the mob count only at 12, despite being an entire dimension. Soul Fire Blazes would be a good idea and maybe the skin could even be changed up a bit to resemble a literal soul, and instead of shooting fire it could..... curse you?
Red Dragon
Brewing, Enchantments, Ect...
Luck Effect
This is an unused effect which can only be given through commands. It would raise your chance of getting rarer and better loot from generated structures. Since Rabbits in Minecraft don't actually jump high, and because, well, it's a Rabbit's Foot, I think the Rabbit's Foot should instead be brewed into a Potion of Luck. The ingredient in Potions of Leaping could instead be replaced with Slimeballs, as they actually jump quite high.
Bad Luck Effect
This would work like the Luck effect but do the opposite, it would make the loot you get from structures be far worse. I think that finding an ingredient to craft this yourself would be very impractical. I also don't really see a use for it in PvP. Instead, I think a new mob should give you it, or even a trap. Maybe a new temple has tipped arrows that give you this? Maybe killing too much villagers gives you it? Those are two possible ideas I have for how you could get this effect.
Health Boost Effect
This was basically the effect that came before Regeneration. Pretty much the same thing. I don't see a use for it in-game.
Saturation Effect
Saturation is already in the game and I see no point in needing to have a potion effect for it.
World Generation
Mountain Edge Biome
Like other biomes of this nature, this would be a transitional biome, or a "technical biome". Unlike the others, though, it is not in the game. The mix of trees and the slightly raised terrain, in my opinion, would be a great addition to the new mountain update.
Deep Warm Ocean Biome
A cut biome from the Update Aquatic, the Deep Warm Ocean would be like the other warm water biomes, but as deep as the cold water ones and lacking any coral. Because of the depth, Ocean Monuments can still spawn here. I think it would be a great addition, and I'm not sure why it was removed. Maybe it can be repurposed with a better name like the "Seagrass Plains"? This could open up the possibility for new mobs, as well, like a Stingray or a Sea Urchin.
Legacy Frozen Ocean Biome
This is the name given to Minecraft's original frozen ocean biome. I rather like the idea of a huge ice flat, and think it should be brought back into the game. Strays and Polar Bears spawn on the ice, as well as Rabbit's. Maybe the ice is thinner in some areas? Walking over Thin Ice should have a chance of breaking it, while using a mount double's that. Another cool idea would be to have the rare chance of finding a tool or item stuck in the ice. A relic of a past adventurer.
Gravel Village Paths
Villager pathways used to use Gravel instead of Grass Paths. I think this should be brought back, and Villages have a chance of either using Grass Path or Gravel for their pathways.
Oak Savanna Villages
Savanna Villages used Oak wood at one point. I think it makes sense that they now use Acacia wood instead.
"Cold-en" Oak Trees
These trees were the result of an old bug. It had the same shape as an oak or birch tree, but used Spruce Logs and Spruce Leaves. I think it could still be a nice tree variant to find naturally.
Brick Pyramid
This was a very early experimental structure added to the game. However fun this could be in game, it makes sense why it is no longer in game. It was basically useless except for giving free Bricks.
Indev House
These houses were basically starter houses. At the time, they had a chest with a stack of each block in the game. It wouldn't really fit in now, although maybe it could be good for a tutorial level.
Farlands
Although they were a bug, I think the Farlands were still really cool. I think the biome should be brought back into the game, and there should be a way to access it and explore it. Maybe the Farlands could be like an alien environment? There could be villages located inside cracks in the mountains, or observation outposts on top. Maybe glowing plants and strange looking animals inhabit the area.
Monoliths
Monoliths were bugs caused by an error with the perlin noise generator. I think if potentially made very rare, or made into their own unique biome (similar to what I said with the Farlands), they could be cool to come across in-game.
Glass Pillars
These used to be the indicators of Strongholds, before Eyes of Ender were added. The concept is good, but they were not aesthetically pleasing. I think that instead, maybe we can get like a castle on top of the Strongholds or some other generated structure to indicate you found it.
Rainforests
The original Rain Forest was pretty basic. They were like Jungles in temperature, but Oak Trees had a 1/3 chance of being big instead of 1/10, And ground vegetation was more common. I think the base idea is good, but this biome needs a lot of additions. Here is what I think the Rain Forest should be:
Birch, Oak and Jungle trees can spawn here.
All of the Jungle trees remain small, and Oak trees have a 1/3 chance to be the bigger variant instead of 1/10 in the other biomes.
Ground vegetation, like grass and ferns, is more plentiful.
Temperature and rainfall is similar to a Jungle.
It takes longer for trees to burn (due to moisture content).
A new oak variant grows here, which is huge.
Seasonal Forest
These would be transitional biomes between Rainforests and Forests. Only Oak trees can spawn here, and the tree canopy is lower in density. I think this would make a good addition, and big oak trees should spawn with a 1/6 chance instead of 1/10 or 1/3.
Old Savanna
This was pretty much the Savanna of today, except Oak Trees took the place of Acacia Trees. I don't see a point for it now.
Shrubland
This was a biome which was identical to the old Savanna. I think that if a Shrubland were to make a return, it should instead be a sort of transitional biome between Forest and Plains, having bushes with a few trees.
Old Swampland
Oddly enough, this biome was also identical to the Savanna and Shrubland apart from using an unused grass colour. Seeing how we now have a current, more forested Swampland, I think a new swamp biome should be in the form of a floodplain or a marsh. The Marsh could have reeds surrounding lots of water. A Floodplain could be like a very deep like with tons of islands shooting out of it, containing miniature forests.
Tundra
This is like the Snowy Tundra we have now, but with little to no vegetation. I think it could make for a good cold biome variant.
Ice Desert
This is like the normal, hot desert in generation, but it is rather cold and covered in snow. I think it could make for a good biome to come across in game. Another possible biome idea similar to this could be a Snowy Mesa, which generates at high elevations.
Old Hills/Cliffs
Before Beta 1.8, hills and cliffs in Minecraft generated in all biomes and were far grander. I personally loved the way terrain looked back then. It wasn't as insane as amplified, but it also wasn't too bland. If I had the choice, I would definitely add in these terrain features. As mentioned in the audio sectioned, there is an unused waterfall sound. I think that these mountains coupled with grand waterfalls would truly be amazing.
Old Oceans
Before Beta 1.8, oceans were not there own seperate biome but part of the terrain generation. Because of this, they were huge, with the world pretty much being an infinite ocean with continents spread throughout it, with islands being rare. I think that currently, oceans are puny in size and islands are pathetic. It would be truly great if the world was split into several large continents, large islands, small islands and archipelagos.
Old Beaches
Pre-Beta 1.8, beaches just generated at low elevations beside shorelines. Because of this, they were far bigger then they are today. They came in two variants, sand beaches and gravel beaches. Underneath the sand was a layer of sandstone, but gravel didn't have this. Because of that, when on a gravel beach you had a chance of falling into a cave. I like these old beaches way better then the beaches of today.
Obsidian Walls
Obsidian Walls were a debug structure which spawned obsidian on top of blocks with an X or Z coordinate of 0. I'm fine with their removal.
Void Fog
This was the name given to the fog that would crowd up your screen the further you went into caves. I actually rather liked this, and I think it should be brought back although it needs to be turned on in Video Settings.
Crystals
An underground feature mentioned a long, long time ago. The addition of crystal caves would be truly amazing, especially if they were available in different forms (block, colour, stalactite, ect...) and glowed/are extremely reflective of lights.
These are unused ambient sounds that can be found in the game's files. They would play on loop, presumably in certain biomes or areas. People have been asking for sounds like this basically since Minecraft biomes came out, and the reason they haven't been added is probably because Mojang thinks they would be too realistic.
The fourth audio piece is the one which really catches my eye. It is named "Waterfall". Not only would that be a great sound to hear around running water, but Waterfalls themselves I think would make a great addition to the Minecraft world. Maybe you can find them spawning on Jungle Hills or Extreme Hills, or even the Savanna Plateau?
These are the sounds that accompany the Zombie Horse. They would be fine assuming the Zombie Horse is also added (otherwise, where the sounds even go?).
Some may not like these sounds, but I think it would be extremely atmospheric to be walking through the Taiga biome at night, on a full moon, only to hear a pack of Wolves howling in the distance.
This is like a techno track and it was created by Notch himself. It doesn't really fit Minecraft, but as some have said, it could be well used in the Ender Dragon fight.
Blocks and Items
Ruby
The Ruby was originally going to be the Emerald, but it was scrapped due to the developer Dinnerbone being colourblind, and not being able to tell them apart from Redstone. This doesn't really make sense, as the two have completely different textures.
Debug and Debug2 Blocks
It is theorized that these unused textures are just base blocks for the developers when they make new ones. Debug wouldn't fit it into the game, but I think that Debug2 could make a good creative block.
Old Stonecutter
This was the old Stonecutter block, before it was removed and then eventually replaced with the new Stonecutter. I think that it should be added back into the game as a decorative block, as it was at one point.
Nether Reactor Core
This is the new texture, taken from the Plastic texture pack. Despite not being used, the texture was changed. This is the old one.
The Nether Reactor Core was originally used for summoning a Nether Spire, before the Nether was added to PE. I think that it should be brought back with a new use. Maybe it can summon a new "Blood Moon" event which makes Nether mobs spawn in the Overworld, and classic Overworld mobs muchmore difficult.
Glowing Obsidian
Maybe this can be remade as a block that can only obtained from the Blood Moon event as mentioned earlier? This is far more broad, but maybe making a portal out of Glowing Obsidian sends you to a very very late game dimension. Quite literally hell. A dimension with locked up Villagers, chained pets, hell, even the illagers are in cages, ect... This is not like an actual world, but more-so a huge generated structure. A new, corrupted, more evil boss could perhaps be found here, I think you can make a solid guess of who he is. Because of this, I think the Nether Reactor activating process should not only use gold blocks, but Netherite blocks as well.
Element Paintings
These are what I call "Element Paintings". Their official names are Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. I'm always open for new paintings. I think these would make a good addition. Maybe, instead of paintings, they could be carpets? 2x2 or 3x3 carpets that can cover your floor.
info_update Blocks
Although I don't think they should be taken serious, maybe they can be obtainable as a cool easter egg for completing a certain advancement?
Fake Wood Slabs
They are more easily broken with a pickaxe than an axe, don't burn, and are pretty much just "disguise" stone blocks. I think the concept of design blocks, whether it be paintings you can walk through (already implemented), fake tnt or expensive blocks which are actually cheap copies, could make for a good addition.
More Explorer Maps
Instead of just a Woodland Mansion map, these would be maps that you could get that would show you any specific generated structure. I think that Cartographer, or Wandering Trader, should be able to sell these to you (Stronghold unincluded).
Unused Barrel Textures
These are unused Barrel textures which I LOVE! The fish one would make a great addition. How I think this should work? The barrel has a different top texture depending on which block/item it contains the most of.
Cyan Flower
Very nostalgic flower which was unfortunately removed from the game. I think it would still make a good addition as a new flower.
Quiver
The Quiver was originally going to hold your arrows. I think this would still make a good addition to the game, as it would free up inventory space. To counter this, you would only be able to hold one Quiver at a time.
Cocoa Bean Crafting Recipe
At one point, you were able to craft Cocoa Beans using an Ink Sac and Orange Dye, or an Ink Sac and Dandelion Yellow and Rose Red. I think it makes sense that this recipe was removed, and it shouldn't come back.
Enchanted Golden Apple Recipe
Some people want the recipe back and others don't. I never actually crafted in game so I can't really say for myself.
Red Dye from Mushrooms
Originally, Red Mushrooms could be smelted into Red Dye. I think this recipe should be added back into the game.
Old Crying Obsidian
This texture is really ugly and the new one looks way better. The old Crying Obsidian block was supposed to be used as a Bed (in the Overworld).
Horse Saddle
This was a removed, craftable saddle from a 1.6 snapshot. I think it was a good idea to make the current saddle multipurpose, as otherwise it would be useless.
Studded Armour
This is like a mixture of Leather Armour and Chainmail Armour. It sounds like a good idea on paper but in-game it doesn't really seem like it would have a use.
Generic Dead Coral Block
When this was a thing, all coral blocks used the same texture but with different colours. Now that they don't use the same texture, I don't think this would really fit back into the game.
Rose
The Rose was removed and replaced with the Poppy. This caused a lot of backlash from the community over a simple flower. I don't see why we can't just have both. I think the Rose should be added back into the game. It makes even more sense seeing how we have a Rose Bush.
Six-Sided Blocks
The Six-Sided Blocks used to be accessible using commands. They were eventually removed from the game. Other ones, like the bark blocks and smooth blocks, were kept in the game and reused, but these 3 weren't. I think that specifically the piston one could make a good building block.
Chainmail Armour Recipe
Crafting using actual Fire blocks. Instead of bringing this recipe back, I think it should be brought back using the Chains instead.
Green Shrub
This most likely was the result of Minecraft trying to apply biome textures to a Dead Bush. Although maybe not just a re-textured Dead Bush, an actual, living Shrub could be a good idea in Minecraft.
Paeonias
Paeonias are basically a one block tall variant of the Peony flower. I'm always open for new flower types. I think this would be a good idea.
Plate Armour
This was just the armour used in Minecraft's survival test. I don't see how it could be repurposed today, as we already have Iron Armour.
Unused White Texture
Nobody knows what this was for, although it is speculated to be an unused cloud texture. If it were to be repurposed, I think it could be used as the texture for a Cobweb Block, made by combining Cobwebs.
Fluff
This was going to be used as a texture for clouds. I think this could actually be a good idea. As clouds right now are not the best looking in terms of detail.
Village Border
This would mark where villages started and ended. Rather then being there naturally, I think this should be re-added and accessed through the F3 menu.
Wax Block
I'm not sure why this wasn't added. I think it should be re-added and used to make Candles, a new, decorative light source.
Crystalized Honey
This was a removed item. Maybe it could be acquired by letting honey sit out in a Cauldron for a while? I think a good usage would be to make a hard and solid Crystalized Honey block.
Coloured Wood
This was originally supposed to come to Minecraft but eventually replaced with Stained Clay. I think that if we just got new, dyed wood types for the available dyes, it would be a good addition.
Dirt Slabs
Although this was a major fail at the time, I actually think that Dirt Slabs, Grass Slabs, Podzol Slabs, ect... would be great for making terrain look good manually.
Those are all of the features I've managed to talk about in this post.
Personally I think if you want ecosystem feels you're best off playing Bedrock. It has a more lively feel due to different animations and some design changes to trees and plants.
But Java has tons of different mods which make the world more lively.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the recent biome vote (mountain, savannah or swamp) was just for which one would be added first. And frogs were included in the swamp preview.
So unless I'm remembering the biome vote incorrectly, frogs are coming.

This is a good idea! It would improve builds as well as generated structures!

How would this mechanic even work? What's to stop the beavers from just chopping down every tree in sight? Also, beavers wouldn't be able to hit the top of the tree unless you give them hit range further than a human's (because they are shorter).
1
These sound like good mechanics!

Also, I should have mentioned that Brown Bears are a semi-good idea but I just don't agree with the taming and attacking the player for taking honey.
I actually like this. It is like a trade.

Responses and feedback in Bold. I currently do not like these ideas so far as they are either lacking in important details or the mobs are useless. Please add more details and if possible find ways to make these mobs unique and useful.
I don't support the ideas in the post as much as you, but I don't agree with what you say about making all real life animals passive or neutral. Making Beavers chop down wood in Minecraft is in no way, shape, or form going to encourage people in real life to kill Beavers.

1
Agreed.

I think that both the "polar" mobs like you listed, as well the normal ones, should spawn in the Alpine Forest. The reason I suggest both is because the Alpine Forest is sort of a transitional biome to Extreme Hills.

10/10 name for your suggestion.

Audio
Audio Loops
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/f/f1/Birds_screaming_loop.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/8/89/Cave_chimes.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/4/42/Ocean.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/a/ac/Waterfall.ogg
Zombie Horse Sounds
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/4/49/Zombie_horse_hurt1.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/3/34/Zombie_horse_hurt2.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/b/b2/Zombie_horse_hurt3.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/b/bd/Zombie_horse_hurt4.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/8/84/Zombie_horse_idle1.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/8/8f/Zombie_horse_idle2.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/0/05/Zombie_horse_idle3.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/d/db/Zombie_horse_death.ogg
These are the sounds that accompany the Zombie Horse. They would be fine assuming the Zombie Horse is also added (otherwise, where the sounds even go?).
Wolf Howls
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/e/e2/Wolf_howl1.ogg
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/c/c9/Wolf_howl2.ogg
Some may not like these sounds, but I think it would be extremely atmospheric to be walking through the Taiga biome at night, on a full moon, only to hear a pack of Wolves howling in the distance.
Calm4
https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/minecraft_gamepedia/4/48/Calm4.ogg
Maybe it can summon a new "Blood Moon" event which makes Nether mobs spawn in the Overworld, and classic Overworld mobs much more difficult.
0
But Java has tons of different mods which make the world more lively.
0
Also, I think that Birch Trees in the Birch Forest should have orange leaves, instead of the green leaves in the other biomes.
0
The frogs are coming (apparently).
