I think there should be a new rule for posting threads to the Suggestions forum. As of now, there are little good suggestions. Almost all on the front page are lacking heavily in detail, such as giving the name of a new mob (example Seal, Crocodile, ect) but elaborating little to nothing on the mob. A new rule should be put in place where you can't have an extremely vague suggestion. This wouldn't be too harsh, some posts are small but do get the point across with detail, but there are many lacking posts which just clutter the forums and I think a new rule should be put in place. Posts should also need to be organized, a post could be detailed, but I'm not reading through a jumbled wall of text.
A suggestion doesn't need to have a certain amount of detail in order to be considered valid or not, although we do encourage people to put in a healthy amount of detail. If a thread has next to no detail I will often move it into the Small Suggestions thread.
I'd say the largest issue I see with the Suggestion section is one that permeates the forum as a whole. That issue is the lack of people actually REPORTING posts that break the rules. Just looking at the last month, there were 5 reports for the Suggestions section. Two were by me, reminding myself to deal with something when I got home from work, two of them were not related to rules being broken. Only the 5th and final report was a legitimate report that wasn't done by a staff member.
If you see a post breaking the rules, report it. Someone saying "No support" without giving any reasons why? Considered spam, report it. Wishlist? Report it. Incredibly vague thread? Report it (this isn't technically against the rules, but if there isn't much discussion on it yet we can put it in the Small Suggestions thread).
Thank you for the reply! I didn't actually know that staff looked at the report section, so I guess I'll try reporting now.
This a discussion where we will discuss our opinions on the state of the suggestions forum. Right now, it is filled with tons of low quality suggestions, one sentence threads, and even though the small suggestions thread is a thing they still make entire posts. Feedback also isn't that good, a lot of times people just say "No, just no." or something along the lines of that.

Care to elaborate at all? What else would the purpose of mud be?

You already can make a collection room of mobs, just use living mobs.

What are the uses of the new foods?

Care to elaborate? You have little to no detail at all. Also, Igloos are already a structure in minecraft.

It is possible. I always name my fish "Fish" to stop them from despawning.

Exactly, that's the point of this suggestion, to make it belong in the game.
