I highly recommend you guys join and check out the new minigame! We've been working on it for months now and we want others to let us know what they think!
I miss the community, and the difficulty of the game. Back then you would die all the time, now I can kill the enderdragon in hardcore mode without dying...
Everyone says that it's Sky that said that... Does no one remember Sea Nanners alpha playthrough? When he named it butter? Other than that, yeah, it's annoying now.
I actually do remember that, Sea Nanners was such a great commentator (an still is). Unfortunately people now overuse it way to much, and it is extremely annoying.
I've used mpserv for hosting since around early September 2011, and I must say, they have the best support team for any hosting site I've ever used. Not only are their prices great, but they have great ticket response time, lag-free servers and best of all, their amazing wrench control panel.
If I ever have a technical problem, David is right on fixing it, or if I have another problem somebody such as Jono or Roy helps me out in less than 15 minutes.
Wrench is the best control panel I've ever used, out of McMyadmin, multicraft and a few smaller ones, wrench tops them all. It has an amazing UI along with the mpserv customer chat, where you can chat with other server owners and discuss anything you want.
Overall, I give mpserv a 10 out of 10. I've already used them for almost two years, and I hope to still be using them in two years from now.
Thanks for providing the Minecraft community with a great service that allows players from all over the world to play together, in a lag-free environment.
Sure, it would make it more realistic, but think about it. Is stuff like creepers and enderdragons realistic? How about enchanting a sword with the ability to make people fly back 10 meters.
So no, I don't think this would be a good addition to the game.
I hate it when people are on my server naming their factions stuff like `budderbros`. Like, everybody seems to be fanboying over this skydoesminecraft guy, but when I checked out one of his videos, all I found he did was pretend to be excited and scream a lot.
But I guess 10 year olds like that sorta stuff...
In my experience, if you don't get a very high number of votes on a server listing site, it pretty much does you no good. It is still good to put it on there, but it definitely wont be your main source of players.
You can make a pretty decent website for free on Enjin. You can see mine as an example: www.TheDeadEnd.org
No offense, but in my opinion enjin is a terrible website builder. Sure, there are some sites on enjin that look alright, but a majority of them look very rough and quickly put together.
If you want to make a very professional looking site I suggest looking to bootstrap. You could then use a forum software such as xenforo or IP.board for your forums (this forum uses IP.board).
Here is an example of a site made with bootstrap and a lot of custom coding: http://mczone.co/
Also, whatever you do, DO NOT make a website that looks like this http://endcraft.net/ (I cry everytime I look at that site)
