Dec 12, 2013Hey Dire.. could you be so nice and share your config file from your keyboard settings with us? There are so many keys in conflict with others and i really want the setup like you have it. Sometimes it dosent work with the standart settings what come with the modpack like m for map...m was setup for 2 diffrent mods..Posted in: Let's Plays
There are so many keys overlapping with others and i never know what i should do with them. Then i change it so there are no overlapping once anymore and when i watch a video from you, you press m for map and i have to find what key i have changed it to... its frustrating
Dec 1, 2012I like it...Posted in: WIP Mods
special that part with tekkit and Technic pack hehe.. i do not like this two anyway... to much integrated and no sort of mods at all... its like a box with everything... Like to see your mod growing.. good luck

This is a kind of mod like yours.. may you get some ideas of that.. i like the idea to make minecraft bit more real / harder like terrafirmacraft does it. But Terrafirmcraft is very complex and not compatible with lots of mods because it changes lot of baseclasses ... gameplay .. go ahead and you get lots of likes... -->> +1 and lots ofPosted in: Minecraft Mods

It's happened to all of us. You go out exploring, thinking "I know the way back. I'll be there before nightfall." but, before you know it, night is there, your hopelessly lost, and there is a creeper behind your back.
But, here's how to find your house very easily.
Step 1. Go to your house, and hit the 'F3' key.
Step 2. Write down the numbers next to the letters 'X', 'Y', and 'Z' down the left side of the screen.
Step 3. When you get lost, just hit 'F3' again to bring up your cordinates, and return home.
Look after the mod Rei's minimap in the forum, then you will have a minimap in the top right corner of your minecraft and you are able to set waypoints.. they are then shown in the world and on the minimap ... just have a look http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/482147-132125-aug17-reis-minimap-v32-05/
If yo udont know to install mods, in this case google is your friend, hope i could help you a bit ..

Learn to spell AMERICA correctly. In fact learn how to use proper punctuation, spelling and general grammar. Then and then you can come back and call all of us "red necks".
English is not my motherlanguage so how it would be wenn du mal eine andere sprache lernst, angepisst bist und einen commentar schreibst und dann wieder deine fresse aufmachst... how you would like this?? And i write what i think, if you think i meant you with red neck thats your fould And now leave me the f. allown, How you would like it if only germany or australia would be able to get free stuff and you have to pass out on everything?? America is not the only country ffs
Dec 1, 2011i all ready done this castle and looked for players for my server (was a 1.8.1 map) waited now for 1.0 to copy the castle in a new map. Now i am building few more things an then my server would be up to join. Castle is not finished yet because its huge and a lot of work have to be done for it. god luck with your building :smile.gif:Posted in: Screenshots

Nov 18, 2011Hi..Posted in: Minecraft Survival Servers (archive)
Finaly i got my new laptop and minecraft 1.0 is released..now its time to find Players, admins, mods and builders how help me to create the server world..
I am uploading in the moment a youtube video how shows you what i have done so far in Minecraft 1.8.1 what i would copy into a new 1.0 world later.
What i have Planed:
The server will not run 24/7 in the beginnings because i would not leave my laptop running over night. I am online very often so we can build the world and if the world looks god, the plugins running fine, permissions are set i would rent a server where we can copy the world onto and let it run 24/7 then.
If the Upload is done i post a link in here to it so you can have a look at it and tell me what you think.
Its a Castle what exist in real in germany (Neuschwanstein) you can google it if you like to get an idea what it looks in real. This Castle should be the spawn point, there are few rooms ho could be rent (from donaters or VIP's) also it exist a big shopping center where you can buy all blocks what are availible in minecraft, special blocks only availible for Owners, admins and maybe moderators.
To get on the server you have to tell me a littlebit about you:
Age, what ideas you got for the castle, the town around it what we have to create, what for plugins you would use, like.
Tell me or show me what you have done so far in minecraft.. maybe screenshoots.
I chose some players then how i invite to the server and we can start to build it up, get it running.
So if you would be a part of it, post you comments and i will get back to you if i like what you write down here.
The hardware (laptop) what i use to run the server is:
Intel Core i7-2760QM CPU @ 2.40GHz
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
Killer Wireless -N for Gaming
I am Dave, 34 years old an a completly minecraft fan.
I am playing since 1.7 and allready have made a small plugin by my self (IceIPBan).
I got 2 Kids and one of them is playing minecraft sometimes as well. I only started it because i saw him playing it.
But he is more a SSP player...
Let the search beginn... hehehehe
Thats my first video what i uploaded about the castle, new updated one is following after the upload (is running in the backround) is done.

You may see unreleased content in these videos, and some of it may receive balance tweaks before going live. Also, we may run into the occasional bug, but that's how beta-testing goes!
Below is episode 1 of Season 3. Stay tuned for Season 5 of my Single Player series, which will be starting just as soon as all the mods are publicly available.

Mar 23, 2012bspkrs posted a message on bspkrs' mods (ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, StatusEffectHUD)The now consolidated home of bspkrs' mods: ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, and StatusEffectHUD!Posted in: Minecraft Mods
HELP! MOD X DOESN'T WORK!!! YOU CRASHED MINECRAFT!!
Ok, that's all well and good... and I'd even say that maybe 1/10 times this is my fault. In order for me to help you, however, I'll need some info that you most likely have. Use pastebin.com (or a paste service of your choice) to provide your full log file. If you are using ModLoader, the log file is /.minecraft/ModLoader.txt. If you are using Forge, the log file is /.minecraft/ForgeModLoader-client-0.log (for client) or /.minecraft/ForgeModLoader-server-0.log (for server). Some mods have a setting called allowDebugLogging which should be set to true before you post your log file. WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE, AND THE LIKELIHOOD OF GETTING A RESPONSE IS LOW.I generally do not respond to PMs sent regarding modpack permissions (read the end of this thread and/or read the license) or help/support for any mods (you should post your issue/question on the thread so that anyone that knows the answer can respond). If you recently sent me a PM for either of those reasons, that's why you didn't get an answer.
Have a crash you don't understand? Check here first:
Crashes for bspkrs' mods on OpenEye.OpenMods.info
There is a new mod called OpenEye that can help players figure out why their game crashed! It does this by collecting data on crash reports and providing analytics on that data through their website. I highly recommend that EVERYONE install it. The more data they have the easier it will be for others to figure out crash reports!
Download OpenEye here
06-Mar-2014 - 1.8 updates are out for all HUD mods! They are downloadable from my website... I will upload them to CurseForge after PAX.
18-Nov-2014 - In MC 1.8 I will be removing the main menu mob/player rendering gimmick from bspkrsCore. What do you think?
11-Nov-2014 - New releases are out for all mods including bspkrsCore. These releases remove all references to my Dropbox public links, which (due to recent changes to the rules governing public links) are suspended.
30-June-2014 - 1.7.10 releases are out! The only known issue is that the main menu mob rendering stuff isn't showing player skins right. I'm not sure if I can fix it, but we'll see.
23-May-2014 - New releases are out for all mods including bspkrsCore! The latest version of bspkrsCore is required for all the new releases. Please refer to the change logs for details.
25-Apr-2014 - New releases are out for bspkrsCore and ArmorStatusHUD! bspkrsCore got more tweaks to the config GUI system to make it more stable, and ArmorStatusHUD got a new feature related to the in-game config GUI system.
22-Apr-2014 - bspkrsCore 6.6 is out! This release fixes a SERIOUS bug in the code to get random mobs that would prevent certain entities from being able to spawn in your world! It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you update if you are using bspkrsCore 6.4 or 6.5! This release also adds more config GUI functionality.
I also released new versions of the HUD mods today that fixes flickering when the player list is shown in MP.
21-Apr-2014 - bspkrsCore 6.5 is out to bring more stability to the Main Menu gimmick code with regard to crashes.
18-Apr-2014 - New releases are out for all mods including bspkrsCore. There are now tooltips for the config settings to give a little more info than just a name. Hover your mouse over the config setting name to see the tooltips.
15-Apr-2014 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.22 and bspkrsCorev6.3 are out! ArmorStatusHUD got a little refinement with the item overlay and item damage options and bspkrsCore got a fix for the config GUI scroll bar not working once you've clicked an option.
13-Apr-2014 - I just spent about a week writing decent code for in-game config GUIs, and now all three HUD mods are using it! New releases are out for ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, and StatusEffectHUD. NOTE: You need to update bspkrsCore as well! That's where most of the new code is!Minecraft will crash if you only update the HUD mod and not bspkrsCore!
24-Jan-2014 - New releases are out for all three HUD mods. These releases fix a problem with the mod versioning and introduce a hook for enabling/disabling the HUDs. A future release of bspkrsCore will use these hooks to provide a keybinding for toggling them.
20-Jan-2014 - There is an FML defect that causes mods that depend on another mod to not load properly. Remove mcmod.info from the jar file as a temporary workaround.
19-Jan-2014 - 1.7.2 updates are out! Let me know of any issues you find!
21-Oct-2013 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.15, DirectionHUDv1.16 and StatusEffectHUDv1.19 are out to resolve the issue with not being able to use negative values in the x/y offset config settings. There is also a new config option damageThresholdType in ArmorStatusHUD that allows you to use damage values in the damageColorList instead of just percents.
Update: bspkrsCorev4.2 is out and brings improvements to the ModVersionChecker class to prevent nagging when new versions come out (you'll only get a chat notification once when a new version is released).
17-Oct-2013 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.14, DirectionHUDv1.15 and StatusEffectHUDv1.18 are out as Forge mods. If you don't know what that means, don't worry about it!
05-Oct-2013 - StatusEffectHUDv1.17 is out and addresses a potential crash.
30-Sep-2013 - I back-ported StatusEffectHUDv1.16 to 1.6.2.
29-Sep-2013 - StatusEffectHUDv1.16 is out. This release tweaks the blink code so that being around a beacon won't drive you nuts.
26-Sep-2013 - Please consider helping out a great cause and get some cool perks for it! http://www.extra-lif...icipantID=45410
It's for the kids!
StatusEffectHUDv1.15 is out for 1.6.4 (I will backport this to 1.6.2 and 1.5.2 if I have time later)! This release adds a new feature: the icon and timer start blinking when a potion effect is almost gone! There are two new config options for controlling the behavior; check out the config file for details.
23-Sep-2013 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.13 is out for 1.6.4, 1.6.2, and even 1.5.2. This update tweaks the item damage code to (hopefully) fix issues with items from mods like Tinker's Construct.
Edit: Something went horribly wrong when I was editing this post last... I'm working on fixing it, but it's slow going. I literally have to redo ALL the links and ALL the images. Believe it or not, what you see here now is a lot better than how it looked for most of the night...
20-Sep-2013 - 1.6.4 updates are out!
17-Jul-2013 - New releases of ArmorStatusHUD and StatusEffectHUD are now out. ArmorStatusHUD will now show the correct item display name if it has been renamed, and StatusEffectHUD got a fix for the background covering up the text if it's enabled in the config.
Note: all mods have been tested with and work with ModLoader.
10-Jul-2013 - Everything is updated for 1.6.2! New releases are out to resolve the crashes when using ModLoader.
5-Jul-2013 - Everything is updated for 1.6.1 except for DirectionHUD (texture issues).
3-May-2013 - 1.5.2 releases are out for bspkrsCore, ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, and StatusEffectHUD.
25-Apr-2013 - New release for DirectionHUD is out to fix the texture issue (derp).
24-Apr-2013 - New releases are out for all three mods to fix potential issues caused by other mods that do not clean up their texture bindings after rendering. This update also changes the config handler, so the config files have a new name (mod_.bsprop.cfg).
12-Apr-2013 - I am apparently having The Worst LuckTM this week with hosting providers. All links are updated and should be working now... I will add a permanent mirror for all links later today.
9-Apr-2013 - I have released a new version of bspkrsCore for 1.5.1 and 1.4.7 to address the update check timeouts issue. This release also incorporates a number of other changes including a super secret feature (don't ask, I'm not telling). You will notice that mod_bspkrsCore.cfg is no longer used; mod_bspkrsCore.bsprop.cfg is used instead. This is due to features that I've been slowly working on that are partially being released early as part of this defect release.
8-Apr-2013 - I have gotten the file downloads setup on a new VPS, so the links should be working now. I will update them again once DNS propagates.
7-Apr-2013 - Apparently my VPS is down, and so my download pages as well. You can try here for now until DropBox arbitrarily decides to cut me off again.
23-Mar-2013 - 1.5.1 updates are released!Update - I have re-ordered the list of files for bspkrsCore to avoid further confusion. Also, one of the reasons this release took longer than usual to get out is because I was busy making automated build scripts for all these mods so that anyone can pull the Github repos and run Ant to build the mod zips/jars. Since I was using a new build process, I couldn't release the mods without fully testing them (believe me, you'd all be very upset if I hadn't). I'll provide instructions on how to run the build scripts soon (it's really very easy, and requires no coding knowledge as long as the code is up-to-date).
15-Mar-2013 - 1.5 updates are live on the download site! Change logs will follow tomorrow (I'm tired).
10-Mar-2013 - bspkrsCorev1.02 is out to fix a defect in shared code. Details are in the changelog.23-Feb-2013 - I've just been notified that my DropBox links are generating too much traffic and are disabled.
I'm looking into another way to provide downloads. I've been able to work out another way to host the files. Links are working again.
20-Feb-2013 - New releases are out to support bspkrsCore (shared mod classes).
24-Jan-2013 - New releases are out for compatibility with other HUD mods due to a vanilla bug.
15-Jan-2013 - 1.4.6 releases work with 126.96.36.199-Dec-2012 - 1.4.6 updates are out. Let me know of any issues.
21-Nov-2012 - 1.4.5 releases are out for all mods!
13-Nov-2012 - Releases for MC 1.4.4 are now available for all mods.
05-Nov-2012 - Be sure to check out WorldStateCheckpoints, my fork of MightyPork's Checkpoints Backup Mod. It allows you to make save points in your SP worlds! An essential tool for any Minecrafter!
01-Nov-2012 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.4, DirectionHUDv1.8, and StatusEffectHUDv1.7 are out to address compatibility with Forge/FML. I also reorganized all my downloads, so let me know what you think of the new system.
29-Oct-2012 - DirectionHUDv1.7 is out. This release adds two new config options: imageFileName and compassIndex. There are now 4 compass styles to choose from by default using compassIndex, and you can edit the png to add your own if you want (details below).
26-Oct-2012 - ArmorStatusHUDv1.3, DirectionHUDv1.6, and StatusEffectHUDv1.6 are out for 1.4.2! These were compiled using Forge, so I may have to do another release when Risugami releases ModLoader for 1.4.2 if there are any changes that break the mods. Let me know if you see anything strange with the mods.
08-Oct-2012 - I've added just about all the code for all the mods I work on to github. Feel free to see how all this stuff works underneath.
06-Oct-2012 - Retrofits! I've taken the latest versions of ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, and StatusEffectHUD and magically produced ArmorStatusHUD v1.2(1.2.5), DirectionHUD v1.52(1.2.5), and StatusEffectHUD v1.52(1.2.5). This is the first time ArmorStatusHUD as been released for 1.2.5, so dig in!
05-Oct-2012 - I completely forgot to mention that ArmorStatusHUD v1.2 also fixes the durability values... they were off by 1 before.
04-Oct-2012 - ArmorStatusHUD v1.2 brings a few cool new features. The damageWarningPercent option has been replaced with damageColorList which provides a way to configure the damage percent thresholds and the associated text colors. The current equipped item setting now allows blocks and other non-damageable items to be shown. When a block is selected the item overlay will show the total quantity of that block in your inventory. When a bow is selected the overlay will show the number of arrows you have.
Update @4:40PM EDT: There was a mistake in this release of ArmorStatusHUD that would cause the item icons to disappear when resizing the game window with top or right alignments. This issue is now fixed in the current download, so if you are affected by that issue please download it again. Before the next release I will be reading up on GL11 Java code...DirectionHUD v1.52 and StatusEffectHUD v1.52 are released to maintain compatibility with this release of ArmorStatusHUD.
19-Sep-2012 - Apparently a fix I put in my mod version checker class to handle not being connected to the internet was full of failure, so I've updated all the downloads that use it with a truly fixed version of the class. I decided not to bump the version numbers for a fix to the version checking code because I didn't want to totally spam everyone over something small like that. Nevertheless, if you like to play without an internet connection be sure to download the latest version (again, if you already have) to avoid game crashing fun.
18-Sep-2012 - I'm not sure how I did this, but somehow I deleted a class file when I was putting together the latest version downloads. The issue should now be resolved... sorry for the issues.Image removed due to an invalid URL: http://static.minecr...t/mobsheep.png
17-Sep-2012 - DirectionHUD v1.51 and StatusEffectHUD v1.51 have been released to maintain compatibility with the latest version of FloatingRuins (they share several class files).
13-Sep-2012 - ArmorStatusHUD v1.1, DirectionHUD v1.5, and StatusEffectHUD v1.5 are out! Major changes include proper item icon rendering for mod items in ArmorStatusHUD, all mods now have x and y offset config settings, DirectionHUD and StatusEffectHUD have better controls over text colors, ArmorStatusHUD has more/better options for the damage display, and all mods have been refactored using consolidated code for easier future updates. DirectionHUD also has a fix for a small yOffset defect that I missed when I put out the last version, and the StatusEffectHUD default settings are slightly different now.I recommend deleting your existing config files to try out the new config options.
10-Sep-2012 - I decided to make a TreeCapitator t-shirt design for the Threadless loves Minecraft challenge. Head on over and give me a critique!
08-Sep-2012 - I have some new features in the works for StatusEffectHUD and ArmorStatusHUD such as more control over text colors, additional alignment controls, proper handling of bottomcenter (to avoid the vanilla HUD), a way to define your own damage color ranges, and the ability to display items in a horizontal line instead of the vertical column. I hope to have them finished by early next week, so stay tuned!06-
Sep-2012 - DirectionHUDv1.41 is now live. Fixes the silly alignment issues with anything that isn't topcenter. Also adds a few other options around x and y offsets and the color of the center marker.Similar features will be coming soon to StatusEffectHUD and ArmorStatusHUD.
29-Aug-2012 - I would like to be able to post my mods on PlanetMinecraft to gain more exposure, but in order to do that I need to "level up" my user (you need to be level 2 or higher to post mods). You can help me get there by commenting on and downloading my submissions!
28-Aug-2012 - If you are using Forge and have an issue with a mod not loading properly, delete the mcmod.info file from the zip file or just download the mod again. It's the first time I tried including it and I wasn't clear on the format. Should be fixed now.
Consolidated all my original mods here. First release of ArmorStatusHUD v1.0 and small updates for StatusEffectHUD v1.4 and DirectionHUD v1.4. Version checking can now be disabled in config (for those times that I screw up the version files and don't notice :S).
19-Aug-2012 - Updated StatusEffectHUD for 1.3.2.
05-Aug-2012 - Updated StatusEffectHUD for 1.3.1. Also added version checking.Status
29-Mar-2012 (the "YO DAWG..." update):To those seeing errors, please download again. I totally made a n00b mistake, but it's fixed now.
That's what happens when you don't run your mod code outside your dev environment before publishing it.

Helpful tutorial and spotlight by DonkeyPanic:
Setting up custom compass styles:
By default 4 compass styles are provided (up to 10 will fit in the image file):
The indices start at 0 (the top compass is index 0). In the default image file the second and fourth styles are clear with white lettering (hard to see above). If you want to edit the PNG file (/gui/compass.png) to add your own styles, just copy one of the existing styles, paste it below the others, and edit it as you see fit. Each stye is 24 pixels tall (2 rows X 12 pixels) and 192 pixels wide. Currently the size of the compass HUD is locked to 65x12 (meaning that you will only see 65x12 on your in-game screen), but I plan to add configurable sizing in the future.

Help: (Read me, for real!)
Q:Server told me I don't have permission to use this command, even though I am an OP.
A:Check the permission setting in "/.minecraft/fihgu/permission/" folder.
Q:My Minecraft crashed during load!
A:Check if you are using the right versions, if they are right, check out the installation tutorial video, and if that still doesn't fix your problem, add me on skype and ask for personal help.
The Core mod must be put into ".minecraft/coremods/" folder to get any other mod to work.
As after 3.0.0
in ".minecrat/fihgu/core/" folder
the core mod will generate language files.
and group setting files.
there's also a config file allowing you to change the default group a new player will join, and rename any command that come from my mods if it got a same name with some other mod.
/warp <PlayerName|WarpPointName>: teleport you to a WarpPoint or another player.
/summon <PlayerName>: teleport a player to you.
/sethome: set your respawn location and allow you to teleport back here later.
/home: teleport you back to your home.
/setWarp <WarpPointName>: set a new WarpPoint.
/delWarp <WarpPointName>: delete a WarpPoint.
/back: let you go back to your last location.
This mod give you basic protection on a offline server.
It allows players to register on your server and check their password when they try to login.
by default, player only need to login when they change computer or network.
/register <Password> <repeat_Password>: register a new account on this server.
/login <password>: login your account.
/logout: use this when you're on a public computer, if you don't want some other kid throw your stuff into lava.
/setpassword <password>: change your password to something else.
/lock [regionName]: lock a single block when region name isn't given, or lock a region when it is.
**IMPORTANT** when you lock a double chest, you must do a lock on each of it's two blocks, else you will find out how diamonds actually has legs.
/unlock [regionName]: unlock/delete a lock/region.
/share <PlayerName>: share a region/block with another player
/unshare: stop sharing a block/region;
People will not be able to build on/destory a locked block.
And the mod will also stop explosion from destoring your block.
This mod allow you to decide on what command a player may use.
In ".minecraft/fihgu/permission/" folder, there are configuration files.
each player will have one of their own config, and their setting will also be effected by the group they are in.
you can change the group setting by edit group configs in core mod.
A permission setting file contains the commands that player/group are allowed to use.
each line contains one command.
and the format is:
CommandName.Argument1.Argument2.Argument3.... so on.
"me" will allow "/me" but not "/me abc"
"me.abc" will allow "/me abc" but not "/me def"
"me.*part*" will allow "/me anything" but not "/me anything anything"
"me.*all*" will allow any "/me" with any argument.
"me.*range:5-10*" will allow a number from the range 5 - 10 to be used as an argument in that slot. ex:allow"/me 6",deny"/me 11"
"me.*onlineplayer*" will allow a online player's name to be used as an argument in that slot.
"me.*commandsender*" allows the player who's using this command to use his own name as arugment.
"me.*group:GroupName*" allows any player's name from that group to be used as argument.
"*permissionsFrom:GroupName*" will give this group/player any permission from that group.
if you put "!" before a permission, the player will not be able to use any command that fit that permission.
ex:"!me.asd" will stop player from using "/me asd"
deny permission will always being considered before any allow permission.
so, when you have both "!me" and "me" the result will be deny.
How to Install:
1.Install forge if you didn't.
2.unzip and put "fihgu's core mod.jar" into ".minecrat/coremods/" folder
3.drop all other mods into ".minecrat/mods/" folder.

Welcome to TweaKrafT
This mod adds a variety of minor game tweaks, as well as some major ones.
1) Bookshelf fix, bookshelves are now placed with a direction, only showing books on front and back.
2) Torches now burnout after a LONG time, and can be relit in a furnace or with a flint&steel.
3) Added a right click function for shovels to allow for a "treasure hunting" mechanic
4) Animals drop bones with other parts... including mutton... skeletons now may drop skulls
5) The default minecraft game mode now behaves more like adventure mode... details below
1) Tool durability now decreases based on block breaking difficulty.
2) When breaking some more blocks, they drop parts, akin to glowstone dust.
3) Gold tools now have a purpose, they have an inherent fortune now.
4) Tools besides just pickaxes now have tiers... also sandstone and obsidian tools...
5) Added scythes hammers and a chisel... as well as core recipe changes
In the place of punching any block to break them, you start out as a scavenger or sorts.
The world around you provides sticks and rocks, as well as animal parts.
After you get your crafting table...
You're pretty well on your way to normal minecraft fun.
Remember that this mod places various obstacles in your way to give a greater challenge.
I plan on making desert and island survival easier.
There are still some recipes which haven't been converted.
Planning on making sticks and rocks appear on the ground has "blocks" and not found as items.
OLD VIDEO, some things added to this, some things removed from this

Aug 31, 2012I am looking with a team to completely rewrite Minecraft. We would be adding all kinds of features from all the popular mods, texture-packs and plugins. This would be an entirely separate game, i.e not a mod! Now we have started development. Now of course as I said I would need a team for support. I am looking for people who would be dedicated to this project and wouldn't give up. Oct 27, 2012FORGECRAFT WALLPAPER: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1601988-forgecraft-wallpaper/Posted in: Minecraft Mods
To summarize: this mod allows you to transmute tons of materials into other materials. It adds a lot of what is classified by many as "endgame content", to make you feel more godlike in your sandbox world. If this offends your Minecrafting sensibilities, this may not be the mod for you.
These items are psychotically expensive, so before you bash them, try acquiring the items legitimately. You'll find it's not exactly a cakewalk.
Equivalent Exchange 3 is an open source Minecraft mod released under version 3 of the GNU Lesser General Public License. What this means is that the source of this mod is publicly available and you have certain rights with respective to the code. Feel free to read up more on Open Source Software and what the GPL/LGPL give you in terms of your rights to software released under that license, but the short version for you folks here is;
- you have the right to have access the source code of the mod,
- you have the right to be able to edit/use parts (or all) of the source code provided that you provide proper credit to the original authour(s),
- you have the right to distribute the source code and/or compiled versions of the source code
- you have the right to use this mod in Lets Plays/YouTube videos however you see fit (monetization, for fun, etc) as long as you provide credit to the original authour(s)(a link back to this thread for example)
So feel free to browse the source code, try things out yourself, and share what you've found/done with others. I made EE3 open source with the specific purpose of having an open source mod that other mod developers could use as a reference while they are learning and making their own mods. The more we share, the better the community!
All works here copyright Pahimar, unless otherwise stated in the source files.
All source code for Equivalent Exchange 3 is available on my GitHub. Please feel free to contribute ideas, art, sounds, and code to the repository as I am always open to ideas and submissions from the community; just understand that I reserve the right to decline certain things at my discretion (they don't fit my vision for the mod, inadequate quality, offensive, etc)
Since Equivalent Exchange 3 is an open source mod released under the LGPL v3, that means you have the right to include this mod in your modpack (regardless of who you are).
EAQ (Excessively Asked Questions)
Will EE3 add any sort of worldgen?
No. Stop asking already :-p
How can I add my own EMC values for my other mod items? Is there a config file or something I need to update?
EMC has not been implemented yet in EE3, look for it in the future
Can I use this mod in my modpack?
See the Mod Packs section of this post
I'd think this new feature would be awesome! You should add it! or Are you adding anything new?
By all means tell me about it! Either leave a message here (but understand it could be drowned out) or put something up in my Github (see the Source Code section above for details)
When will EE3 be out for MC X.Y.Z?
The short answer is when it's ready. Whenever Minecraft has a major release, it takes time for the dependencies that mods have update. When all of those are updated, the modders can update their mods. Depending on the amount of changes it can take some time. Be patient - we're aware the update happened and are very likely very busy working on the update.
Will you update EE2 for MC X.Y.Z?
I have decided to focus solely on EE3 development. I feel that this version will be a superior experience to previous versions of EE, and so I have decided to make it my number one priority. I know a lot of you love EE2, so I only ask that you be patient while I flesh out more of the functionality in EE3 to get it to where I have planned.
Can I/someone I know update EE2 for you?
EE2 is a closed source mod, and as such only x3n0ph0b3 (the original author) can grant people the right to maintain/update it. Only myself and x3n0ph0b3 can update EE2, and neither of us are going to do so at this time (and this is unlikely to change in the future). EE3 was meant to be a clean break from EE2.
Where can I get updates on EE3 development?
I'm almost always on #ee on irc.esper.net, as well as #direwolf20. You can also find me on Twitter (@Pahimar).
How did you learn Java? How did you learn to mod?
I studied Computer Science in university where we used Java predominately (as well as C, Haskell, etc). As for how/where did I learn how to mod, I read and followed tutorials on the Minecraft Forums and (politely) asked for advice/help on the various modding channels on irc.esper.net. Specifically, #mcp-modding and #minecraftforge were very helpful.
Also, look around for Open Source mods to see how they work. BuildCraft is a notable one, and I am developing EE3 to be Open Source as well (both on GitHub).
Can I use some of your code in my mod?
Yes! That's the beauty of open source projects; you can see what others have done and try it yourself! My goal here is for people who are curious how to mod can learn from my experiences and get to where they want to go that much faster. I have learned what I know about MC modding from a wonderfully helpful modding community, and I want to continue to foster that environment in the community.
What features are in EE3? Is item X/Y/Z still around from EE2?
I haven't compiled a final list of what is in EE3 yet for the public, but here is the short list of what is in/out;
- Red Matter has been removed. It was a cosmetic tier only to give people something to aim for after Dark Matter. Dark Matter is now the top tier tech in EE3.
- Collectors have been removed. A different method for passive EMC generation will be introduced in the future.
- Condensers have been removed. A suitable replacement with new mechanics will be added in the future.
- The Destruction Catalyst/Hyperkinetic Lens have been removed. Their functionality still exists in the Dark Matter tools.
- The EMC system will remain, but it will be changed to accomodate new and more interesting mechanics.
- There will be a method to move EMC around in "wires."
- More configuration options will be available to both players and server admins.
- EE3 will feature an API, which is not complete at this time.
- A transmutation system similiar to the Transmutation Tablet will exist, but is not ready to be disclosed at this time.
These decisions were all made with balance in mind, and are not open to being changed. I need these things to happen in order to make this mod that much more fleshed out and fun. Trust me; you will love the end result.
- A lot of stuff is up in the air right now, please bear with me!
I will be doing a completely new Wiki for Equivalent Exchange 3 in the very near future. For now, everything you need you can find in the changelog here: http://goo.gl/cUjZk.
The very short version is get yourself an Inert Stone and start hunting hostile mobs. Once you have eight Shards of Minium you can combine that with your Inert Stone and craft yourself a Minium Stone. This is a temporary recipe while I work out the Red Water mechanic for pre2.
BCTAssassin has put together an install video for EE3 that should help you all get started.
PantsManUK has also put together an install video for those of you using MultiMC
Universal install instructions for both client and server (for Minecraft 1.4.2)
- Install the required version of Forge in to you minecraft.jar
- Start and stop Minecraft to test to make sure that Forge was added successfully
- Put 'ee3-universal-v####.jar' in to your /mods folder
- Load up Minecraft and play!
If you have trouble during the installation make sure that you start with a fresh jar files, and try loading your Minecraft after every step above. This will help you figure out specifically where and what went wrong in the installation. If you continue to have problems try watching one of the installation videos embedded in this post.
If you enjoy the mod, or any of my work, and feel like you'd like to help us out with some monetary support my request is that you donate to one of the many amazing charities out there. Charities that are close to my heart are Extra Life, Child's Play, Kid's Help Phone, and the Canadian Diabetes Association. Any of these organizations would put your support to excellent use.

How to Troubleshoot
- Make sure that you followed the Installation instructions properly. If you are having problems installing, start over with a fresh Minecraft jar and load up Minecraft after every step in the installation. This will help you figure out where things went wrong in the installation.
- Run the Minecraft Error Test Script. This is the first piece of information any of us will need to see in order to help you with your problem if you can't figure it out yourself. If your computer opens it up in Notepad then you need to change the file extension from ".bat.txt" to ".bat". Follow the instructions here to help you do that.
- Another more full featured troubleshooting utility for Minecraft (which also works on Mac and Linux/Unix) can be found here.
We have some lovely folks in our IRC channel that can be a real help with problems. We only ask that you are nice and respectful, or you will be asked to leave.
If you have followed all of the troubleshooting steps, talked with us in IRC, and you are still sure that you did everything correctly and that this is a bug (they do happen) please report them to me in IRC or through a PM here on the Minecraft Forums. If I don't get back to you right away I'm probably busy, but trust me that I have read your email and will get back to you in time.
- x3n0ph0b3, the original creator of Equivalent Exchange and Winja Extradonaire. Love ya bud.
- All the Mojangstas, for working more closely with us modders everyday and helping the community grow
- Searge; without him we wouldn't have the Minecraft Coder Pack and the modding community we have today
- cpw, for Forge ModLoader and all your help - you are amazing man
- LexManos, for all your work on Forge, for making sure I do things right, and making me laugh
- Eloraam, for being amazing, friendly, and always helpful with tough spots
- DireWolf20 whose exposure of mods to the community help people get started everyday. I'd say more but this looks like a pretty good wrapping up point...
- iChun, for bacon
- Sengir, for always being there with helpful code snippets to things that he solved before me because he's so friggin' smart
- Soaryn, for helping me figure out rendering because I'm not a graphical artist and was flopping on my face
- Azanor, for putting out an incredible mod that continues to push me to become better and better
- DaStormBringer, for hosting ForgeCraft and giving us a place to test our latest and "greatest" creations
- OvermindDL1, for hosting the MinecraftForge sites and keeping us online
- Alexandria, for being our own personal 'IRCop' and keeping the hooligans in line (and looking great while doing it)
- EddieRuckus, for keeping me entertained with his streams while I code. You ROCK dude.
- Slowpoke/Mattabase/Tahg/Florastar/the entire FTB team, for giving folks a map in which to push their knowledge of Minecraft and mods (and an incredible time sink)
- And as importantly, thanks to ALL OF YOU who download the mod, suggest new content, vote on polls, read my ramblings, and show their appreciation! I wouldn't be making anything public if it weren't for the lot of you.
