I've been having problems uploading my texture I made. In Gimp, i finished the Raw fish texture in the items.png, and want to upload it, but really don't know how to separate the raw fish texture from everything else and post it as a stand alone texture. Could one of you experienced artists help? If it helps, I use Windows Vista.(Blehh)
I set up a grid in Gimp when using the item.png. You can set the size by going Edit>Preferences>Grid Options and set it to 64x64 pixels. Once you do that go to view and turn on the grid, highlight the fish and paste it into a new page.
Ok, i tweaked the jungle leaves so they have a bit more texture and added more leaves.
and I also made a version with coco beans
Great work. The first version's fancy leaves were definitely too airy.
And on the uncut/cut diamond thing, take a look at Ovo's diamond ore block. Just base the diamond off that. In my opinion, the diamond textures we have now are too grainy and don't match at all with the ore block.
haha just input the default texture? you don't know how to do that? look up tutorials lol. step1: get default terrain.png, step2: open with a photo manipulator like GIMP or photoshop or paint.net, step3: Copy the sapling, step4: paste the sapling onto the ovo terrain.png, step5: before flattening it (anchoring the sapling to the image) scale it from 16x16 to 64x64, (interpolation at none, important!!!) then just anchor, save it, move into the .zip, and enjoy. sounds hard? takes about 2 minutes.
But the invisible one is more interesting than a resized 16x16 D:
You are correct in that, but if anything, most of this is just temporary anyway. Just things to get it up to the HD part as sometimes having the 16x textures in a high res. texture can look kinda odd. Its all up to personal preference though.
There's already a moon phases one. There are 2 in the customizer. One by me and a much better one below it. I use the second one
Based on Im_A_Creepah's book for the enchantment table, here's the book icon:
Notch think's a snowball is perfectly round
Thinking bumpiness on the edges?
Notch is working with 4 times less pixels
And yea, with maybe a little shadowing to make it seem spherical yet bumpy. Good luck
EDIT: Oh and for the leaves, just image search jungle leaves. You should be able to get a good idea from that. Too bad I'm no good with gimp besides some clever cut and paste.

EDIT: Oh no. Someone ruined my perfect 42 rep D:

Guess I'm sticking with Ovo's original leaves for the jungle leaves.

Looks great.
EDIT: Oh and we still need a jungle sapling. I don't have a texture for it at the moment so it's invisible

Just give it a day

Now it looks deflated
Try round, but slightly bumpy on the sides.
