Here are some I know about:
Biomes O' Plenty (adds some ocean variant biomes, and at least in some MC versions Nether biomes as well)
NetherEx (I have little experience with this mod, but I came across it in a modpack I tried once; might be difficult to use alongside Biomes O' Plenty due to how many biome IDs that mod uses)
Natura (adds Nether-specific trees and cloud blocks)
Dynamic Surroundings (adds dust storms to the Nether, and some block effects to blocks that only naturally occur in the Nether; I'm not sure exactly what it adds to oceans)
Just a Few Fish (adds the fish as entities/animals, some of which only spawn in ocean biomes)
Better Foliage (a few of the effects it adds apply to Nether blocks)

Idea Dump
the sole purpose being, to give ideas, most likely for a later date. I have more than an inkling of how hard coding is and how long it can take. I post this, not expecting any let alone half of these things being implemented. This is just for WBB and SWD to use if they feel like it.
1. How about adding some MCA (Minecraft Comes Alive) style interactions with other/NPC Queens.
2. Will it ever be possible that when playing MCA with this mod, the player can have a kid who is also a spider person?
3. This one comes from a manga about a girl that gets turned into a spider, but how about level up/progression system. Exp Points could be spent towards spider themed abilities, like poison talons, a larger, stronger body, the ability to produce more string, eggs things like that.
4. A spider themed magic system. Something similar to Blood Magic, but instead of an altar made of runic blocks, the altar would be constructed using spider web. Specifically a special web made from enchanting web and/or string. Instead of attacking mobs on it, cocooned victims are placed on it and instead of being eaten, they die but that gives the structure energy. This thing could then be used for special tasks, like spider themed items, the prior leveling system I mentioned, or special rituals like turning a player mob into a spider person loyal to the player. This could be all part of a progression system.
5. Squads. There is a mod called Overlord, that lets players make their own skeleton army. The chief feature is the ability to organize their skeletons into squads and control them directly based on those squads. As nice as the spiders are, they can a bit hard to manage when in larger numbers, or a players wants to pick out a specific spider(s) for a mission. This feature could be integrated with the existing rods, with the spider rod working for specific squads of spiders. All to help with the idea you're a spider 'queen' trying to carve out a domain.

yes it would depend if you equip a pig whit a diamond helmet the max damage he would do it's 7 and also it will have critical hit ratio of 20% (depending of the helmet obviously) or also if you equip whit a leather helmet the max damage its 4 whit a critical hit ratio of 4,5% (also it could have a probability of 30% for attack missing)

Alternately as people have said, If you are telling the truth, then maybe it was a modded mob.

I'v got an idea for a small mod. (One that could be expanded upon...)
Karakasa's
What is a Karakasa? a Karakasa is a Japanese Yokai/Youkai (Japanese Spirit,Demon,Beast or Goblin ) Whom is also called the Umbrella Ghost.
Appearance suggestions:
Where does it spawn: Night or Darkness like most hostile mobs, Burns in daylight.
Behavior: Hostile, Can leap high and float gently down. Attacks with it's tongue or kicking (Slight delay to be able to block with shield possibly?)
Stats: HP: 23 hearts Damage (Without Armor): Easy: 1 and a half hearts Normal: 2 full hearts Hard: 3 and a half hearts
Sound ideas: Possibly creepy laughing/giggling?
Drop ideas: Karakasa Cloth
Karakasa Cloth with two sticks in a pickaxe formation creates a "Pet" Karakasa. It looks simply like a normal umbrella but with the Karakasa's singular eye on it. Holding the umbrella out let's you fall slowly.
Version: 1.11.2 and above.

it's more of a wings problem i suppose. The Mothman is usually known for having large or at least noticeable wings.
Really my only problem, it's honestly more of a nitpick at this point but meh.

It's severely outdated and beyond dead at this point, KodaichiZero seems to be infamous about leaving their mods for dead...
EDIT: Due to witches being in the mod AND in minecraft, Maybe they should be renamed to something like Curse Witch, or Greater Witch or something?

A possible solution to lag is to make them spawn and despawn only when the player are near where they spawn at, like ocelots or squids.

None of them, I'v loved each update thus far.
if i HAD to pick something i suppose i'd say 1.5 just because i don't use redstone often, But even then i'm slowly getting into it and learning how to properly utilize it's contents...
