This is the question of the topic, all of the information needed to answer the question can be found on ONE page of the minecraft wiki and then referenced to the version history to check if it matches with 1.6
I agree with you but i don't think it will be a big deal if 4j stops updating minecraft in a couple years.
As long as they update it with all the core content and remove most of the bugs, I would consider any update after that a bonus because minecraft seems finished and complete at around 1.2.5 on PC.
If 4j can get the xbox version up to 1.2.5 I wouldn't consider it to be orphaned
Why are you even asking us to explain a reason to go to the nether when you already outruled all the reasons.
It's stupid and pointless topics like this that waste space and lessen the chances of a good topic being seen on the front page.

I am getting tired of seeing topics like this. It seems like everyone wants to endlessly complain about Minecaft xbox edition!
So what if the nether is worth going to at the moment, obviously you know the reasons its not worth going so why do you have to post on the forums!
We all know that the xbox edition is has many setbacks from PC, but don't forget it was released less just over a week ago, and 4J is working hard to fix the bugs and update it to the current version. You are only wasting space by posting this topic.
It's only been a week, and I've already used up an entire world. I mined all through it, explored all the surface caverns, built houses and other buildings in all the good spots, made transportation mechanisms between them, etc, all by myself. Nothing was left to do.
The worlds are way too small. What am I supposed to do now? It's just so disheartening to have to build my house all over again, and to have to craft chests for all the materials all over again... Ugh.
This is obviously a problem. On the PC, you can just infinitely expand your world, never having to erase all the work you put into the game. On my Xbox, every week, I'll have to just erase everything I did and start a completely new world. This ruins the game for me.
Thoughts?
I don't believe you could have used up and area of 1000x1000 blocks within a week, unless you play it 24/7. I am thinking you made all this up just to bring up your hatred for the world size, You can make multiple worlds anyway, so why not just make a new world? You actually don't have to erase anything and you can keep your world so you can brag to other players about how you used 1000x1000 blocks in a week.
erm quick question...
where is everyone?
how am i supposed to roleplay when i have no one to rolrplay with
Take note that people live in different parts of the world...
Right now it is 2:13 Pm for me and i am still at school so i cant log on until i get home at around 4:00 Pm
So from what i currenty understand, the map is in the area that used to be texas. As all of us can see, much has changed.
The soviterm have returned at destroyed everything we had. We moved away, but will soviterm follow us to texas?
these are the only two factions i know of so far:
-Helix
-Rangers (Tripac remnants)
Texas is dangerous territory, and there is a big reason for the soviterm to come here. Houston has a NASA building that was used as an ICBM launch control center. If the building still stands, someone could gain acces to the remaining ICBM sites across north america.
(if this building doesn't exist on the map, maybe admins could build it so we can use it for roleplay?)
Everything looks great so far!
love the new map.
I hope we can get lots of people on the server so we can have some big interactions!
Oh, and i was wondering if admins could make a place where the nuke of the area went off long ago. The bombs that destroyed everything had to drop somewhere right? A kind of "ground zero" should be made where there is a massive crater. Maybe admins could take it even further and put valuable exposed resources like power nodes and rare metal in the crater but the catch is that the radiation is super high and people need the best radiation suits to go in. I know in real life you can only take so much radiation in your body before you die.

The map is going to take a long time to make. You might as well keep roleplaying
