    posted a message on Mechacraft!
I have tons of ideas that I want to be added to Minecraft, but would be better input as a mod called Mechacraft. I will describe some block types and items I have come up with so far. Most of the items have a basis in redstone that could make very inventive traps and tools.

Drop box: When suspended, you can put any block type in it. When receiving power, it will drop all of its single block type. Not only that, but the blocks, when dropped, will always be gravity affected, no matter what. This can create devilish traps like a pressure pad that drops obsidian on you when depressed.

Grate: When placed, you can put a liquid block in it and it will dispense of the liquid on all sides unblocked when receiving redstone power. Not sure of the major things it can do, but I'm sure the community would come up with excelling ideas for it.

Gear: Like the original gear, it can be placed on the side of a block. However, this time, it has a purpose. When receiving any power, all the blocks touching it will move one-quarter of a clockwise turn. Not sure of the purpose for this one either, but I am sure you guys will, again, come up with a good idea for it's usage.

Sticky Redstone: This block could very well revolutionize the whole idea of wiring. When redstone is combined with slimeballs, it creates this block, which can be placed on ANY surface, whether it be on a wall or upside down. Charge is propogated as normal, but moves charge in new and curious ways, like straight down or up. This was a main idea that got my ideas going.

Glue: When a block is right-clicked with slimeballs in hand, it creates a gluey surface like on a sticky piston. Except that things can also be held upside-down without consequence. Possibly, I might also implement the fact that if it receives power, a slimeball falls off the side and the block will fall as well, if gravity-affected.

The ability to place redstone on pistons, TNT, and other blocks otherwise impossible to place on I might put in as well. I really cannot be sure, but input from you guys will start me off. This is my first mod and I have absolutely no idea how to program it. In time, I will learn it eventually, but it might take a while. Please don't take any of these ideas, and add your own. I already have recipe ideas, so no need for that. Thank you for your time.
