After looking for hours on end to find an SMP server that allows non-youtubers and/or people under 18, I decided to make my own SMP server.
Our server has a world border of 200 - it will expand by 35 blocks every week (on a Saturday UTC +13:00) for the first 8 weeks, after which, it will be removed! This is an effort to try and make a close community where everyone works together!
No one will have OP, not even me! I've made it so Staff have access to CoreProtect but nothing else. I am included in said Staff.
Note: players will earn Staff rank by activity in-game, on the forums, and on Discord. As well as being kind, etc.
Here are the plugins we have:
CoreProtect 2: This is to check if someone has griefed you, stolen items out of your chests, etc.
ChatFormat: This is to manage the chat name colours for Donators/Supporters and Staff.
PermissionsEx: This is to manage the permissions for name colours and so that Staff have access to CoreProtect.
Vault: This is to tie PermissionsEx and ChatFormat together so that name colours will work.
Litebans: This is to manage the punishments on our server. We will only use this if someone is violating the rules.
MinecraftMarket (BuyCraft alternative): This is our Donation Store plugin which will automatically give players their coloured names. Donator ranks are completely optional, all they give you is a coloured name in chat. It is purely to help keep the server up and running
Note: None of these plugins will change your gameplay - your gameplay will be pure vanilla survival.
Server resets will only be made if 75% or more of a poll is for a server reset. Polls will be made every 6 - 12 months.
Our server is located in Los Angeles, United States and has 500Gbps DDoS Protection. (We're running on an 8gb VPS but we might upgrade in future)
