Right now, my plan is to make TGD somehow remove everything valuable from the ground underneath it, and spawn a particularly nasty
variety of self-replicating golem up in they sky, that then falls down to earth and starts building more of itself.
As a reward, though, I am going to try to have the original pillar "accumulate" all the resources it sucks out of the ground into a mass underneath it, that reaches up inside of it. See what I am saying?
So if you want to fight through all the golems all the way to the central pillar, there is a reward if you can make it out alive. Which will be... unlikely.
This is the plan for TGD, assuming I can learn how to do any of it. Mob programming in minecraft is still new to me. Comments?
EDIT- I looked back, and realized I had missed almost a whole PAGE of comments. Gasp! sorry about that. Anyhow, I like the biome idea, and a passive poison effect is cool too. But instead of it actively hurting you, what if it just prevent all forms of health regen? Under TGD, that is.
Im not sure I like blocks hurting you by contact. Black goo used to be that way, it would hurt you if you broke it or touched it, but honestly, it was annoying as crap. Maybe it still has a place, though.
If I can get it working well, each goo will have its own golem with its own characteristics. Some will be nice, others not so much. All will be unique and interesting, however.

well..... maybe its a version glitch or something.. but if it is a version glitch its forge compatible im saying it might be a version glitch because i ran across mods that didnt work on newer versions but worked just fine on older versions
idk if its a glitch or.... or something but all i know is that i cant use the creeper egg and they NEVER spawn anywhere! please! if this is a glitch just please fix it! if its not tell me whats wrong whether if there's a new one or its my computer! help meh'
EDIT: nvm i found a way to fix it and heres an idea!! i say the mutant should be able to climb up walls he does have kind of that climber or arachnid look! so it kind of ties right in
