MCPatcher 1.1.7 worked fine for me using this texture pack. Just wish this pack was updated for the patch so when I go to The Nether, I don't live in a world of grey LOL
Guess I'll use one of these 'fixes' for now, thanks guys!
Yes, setting that in the Catalyst Center is very important. I believe I've always had that on from the start, but I've used two different ATI setups with Minecraft so far (2x4770s in CF, and now a single 5850) and it's always ran fine for me...but I've also always ran with that setting on.
I might suggest, for the workbench, to possibly go the route of a slightly stained top, with an off/antique/eggshell white. I know my garage is damn clean, but nothing in it is remotely close to the original color after using it repeatedly. A couple scraps might compliment the blueprint nicely as well.
The trees, they are solid :sad.gif:
Is there any way to get the leaves somewhat transparent-ish?
And have I missed a 3D Dot Game Heroes skin (character) anywhere? Sorry to sound lazy, but I haven't seen one in that forum category using the search tool :/
I'm happy to hear that you and others are really liking the pack. It makes me sad that some others shunned and denied other hd 128 packs because I stand for everyone when I say tons out hours went into each one to make them flow and look nice. Some even went on to abandon all those hours of work because of the negative feedback and support. As for me, I'll continue to work on this pack since most of the work paid off.
We really are. I've spread it like wildfire amongst those whom I play with. And ya know, to each their own...I do photomanipulation for a hobby/time-killer...started because I wanted to learn Photoshop. I can only imagine the time you've put into this texture pack, simply for others' enjoyment. That alone is worth praise. And I do agree, it's sad to see people quit a task or goal, simply due to others' opinions...the negative are always the loudest it seems.
On rant with the negative...is it the frame that makes the torches look awkward? I was thinking about this at work (and reading the forums on my iPhone) and it struck me, that it's the only complaint I have so far with your pack, taste-wise. The torches just look awkward to me (I know I commented on the half-steps, but that's not really a complaint). They look...fatter than they would need to be. I'm assuming though, this has to do with the wireframe and the actual model, than the texture, which is rather unfortunate :sad.gif: But, I only provide this feedback, as you've requested it! :biggrin.gif: I love the pack, and will continue to use it until I experiment and make my own!
Just had to make my first post on these forums to let you know that I am in love with this texture pack. Not only does my fiancee have motivation to finally play this game with us (private server) but it's such a wonderful texture pack I don't even mind that the foilage isn't done yet (my "main base" or whatever has a butt-ton of foilage all over it, it's Japanese-themed since my last pack made it look like bamboo). It's that wonderful that I easily overlook all these grey blocks, as I love having crafting tables and furnaces in each location I go to, haha!
I agree, the stone looks a little smooth, I thought it was sand at first...and I didn't really understand the thought behind the half-steps either. But everything looks incredible! Personally I might take the wood and move from a two-plank-per-block look to a three-plank-per-block look, but it flows pretty good as it. I may just have to edit it a little for personal preference (but it's a thought, who knows, it could fuel some master craftsmanship, or may not).
This really is an incredible feat so far, and it's not even done. I don't care what you've done in the past, this just screams that you've already out-done yourself.
