once on skyrim i was raiding a dugeon as part of the college of winterhold quest (saarthal it was called), i entered it pretty much completely unprepared and eventually got stuck getting killed by just one freakin dragur wight

Security risks, memory leaks. data corruption, conflicts, poor optimisation, bugs. Too much hassle, zero profit.
As much as some developers may like to have mods on consoles it will be a long time before Microsoft or Sony will consider it, there's just too many issues, security being one of the biggest. The best you will get are modpacks but again there's just no money in it.

I also can't imagine there would be too many in the modding community who would give permission or waste their time making mods for consoles, they would just be limiting themselves and spending even more of their free time having to support multiple platform and trying to make sure it meets whatever requirements Sony and Microsoft will almost certainly put in place.

hey, mods aren't exactly supposed to make money anyway, and people don't have to make the mod for all consoles (although it would be encouraged to do so)

posted a message on cartoon network character vs. your favorite video game hero/villan
the rules for this are simple, post your opinion of who do you think who would hypothetically win in a fight to the death between those two people who the post above you just said (bonus if you can describe a reasonable scenario in which these two would be pitted against each other or how the victor would finsh the other off), after that post a match up of your own and please describe the character and tell what game is he/she from,if possible.

    i'll start us off:

finn the human(as he is as of now in the series) vs. corvo attono from Dishonored (after meeting the outsider for the first time, with all fully upgraded powers, weapons and abilities)

EDIT:new rule in response to frog81's suggestion: you cannot pick video game characters that are also have a show on cartoon network, and they must have experienced some kind of actual combat, and also, please describe the stage of the character's life in which the matchup takes place, as also suggested by frog81.

No thanks. No wants to type code, 3d model, or texture with a joystick and a few buttons. Unless you want to do it all on a computer, Microsoft doesn't like that kind of stuff either, there's something about it in the TOS.

And this is really also up to the developers even if Microsoft allows it. Most companies will figure out that pumping out DLC's will earn them more money rather than modding software. It'd probably come out 2 years later or something when it's popularity dies out.

Consoles are also a bit too restrictive to allow this to happen.

posted a message on mods for ps3 or xbox360 games
i've been thinking lately that pc games have one of the biggest advantage over consoles :mods.

so, i'd like to start a petition here to make us able to have them for systems. and i already have a few ideas of mods for a couple of games, for example, a call of duty blackops weapon pack for battlefield 3, or maybe, metal gear solid peacewalker hd edition (and would personally congratulate anybody who makes an adventure time or regular show face-camo and/or costume pack for mgs4).

a good rule for this to prevent cheating with weapon mods is that unless it is allow by the admin of the multiplayer server or for any other reason, mod weapons can never be used in multiplayer matches.

ive seen a lot of mods involving tv shows and other games for minecraft and other stuff so you cant say anything about this violating any copyright laws, i think.

please post any ideas for the rules of this or how this should work if this actually happens

posted a message on half-life:zombie edition, but for minecraft
as stated in the title, somebody please make this mod for minecraft plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what half-life zombie edition is actually a mod that allows someone to actually BE a headcrab, small crab-like creatures from half-life that seem to enjoy jump onto people's heads, bond with their nervous system, and turn them into zombies.

also, plz make it able to where you can actually jump onto mobs from other mods (like mo' mobs or smiley's adventure time mod (bonus if someone can post a drawing of finn as a headcrab zombie on this post lol))

if you have half-life you should check the mod out, its just so much fun
