    Thanks for updating to 1.10.2! I've missed using the mod. Love the added complexity.


    In the 1.10.2 version I am also using the Tough as Nails mod. TAN has a water bottle for thirst that must be cooked in a furnace so you can make juices.


    None of the BB furnaces will not handle it and placing the bottle in one crashes the game.


    I disabled the advanced furnace options and went back to the vanilla furnace and it works again, but I sure miss the challenges of the advanced furnaces.


    Another thing that happened after I disabled the advanced furnaces was when I went back to the game and accessed the advanced furnaces or tried to break them to get rid of them the game crashes then to. Once the block is gone the game is fine.

    On the 1.11 and 1.11.2 version I am using, the recipe builder is not available. Was this by design or is it a bug?


    The recipes I defined before 1.11 are working if I copy the drd files, and I can change them manually, but not in game. ctrl-r does not open the interface.


    1.11 - Forge 2199 (and a couple of earlier releases too with same result)

    1.11.2 - Forge 2201

    I had the same issue and the only mod overlap was optifine and when I removed it the mod went back to clicking off the seasons.

    Each release gets better! I have been using it consistenly now since I installed it and it has proven rock solid. In my 1.8 install not a single crash.


    I have another feature suggestion: Make the smelter accept both the input and the catalyst from a hopper or hopper with a chest on top of it.

    Darn. Thought I was onto something.


    Maybe knife and string to thinner string (silk or directly thread)?


    I did find a workaround though. The backpack mod I use allows me to create custom recipes so I created the knife/string to thread recipe.


    I'll be quiet now.

    You could use a knife to shred wool into thread. You were looking for new uses for the knife.

    I have a thought about silk.


    I'm not much for night time wandering so finding and killing spiders is not something I often do.


    The issue this causes for me is that I do not have silk for making the thread that is the catalyst for the trapped chests. This is an issue because I make a boatload of trapped chests for my storage rooms (like 10 doubles (20 singles) for a typical room).


    While I appreciate the intent to have the catalyst be something the device needs (a tripping mechanism) can it not also be string or a way to get silk from something else? I have no idea what logically makes sense, but at least consider it.

    BTW - nice job on the fixes. I'll be testing them soon. It just keeps getting better, eh?


    Also, I love the responsiveness you bring to the table. Refreshing.

    Success! Other than the kiln issue all of the conflicts seem to be tied a a mod called Craft++


    It blocks the ability to convert your crafting table to a default one. It also is the source of the issue with the signs.


    Another issue I came across is that when I open the interface for the brick oven and shift-click to transfer the meat tot he oven the game crashes.

    My bad! I meant it was a kiln, but I'll look at it again.


    Also, should there be an issue with signs? I right click, but it doesn't let me enter text. It just places the sign blank.


    Lastly, doe the mod mess with gamerules settings? I always set keepInventory = true and the game with this mod seems to ignore the rule. I died and lost everything. Luckily I am playing just to test the mod so I did not have much.


    To be safe though I've started saving my inventories in NEI.


    BTW - great mod! I like the idea of making the beginning harder. The beginning is my favorite part.

    Placing the smelter on top of a hopper to channel the output also sucks out the coal instead of just he output stone.


    The attached image shows the device I build for my storage room. It feeds cobblestone in from the top and coal from the side (hopper on the back of the smelter is not visible). The stone output is supposed to drop out into the attached hopper and the droppers push it up into the chest above.
