    posted a message on Automated Anarchy - modded server with no rules (1.12.2, survival, custom modpack)

    Automated Anarchy is a modded Minecraft server with no rules. There is no in-world administration, and there are no player accounts with special privileges. It uses a custom modpack that I configured specifically for unadministrated anarchy conditions (notably, there are no chunk loaders and there is no magical block security).


    Duplication glitches and other game-breaking bugs will be fixed as soon as possible. There is, of course, no punishment for using them, nor is reporting them required (although I'd appreciate it).


    The world is persistent, meaning I will not reset it.If it becomes broken, I will fix the issue (by changing mod configurations, by custom programming, or by temporary OP permissions on a separate dedicated account). By "broken", I mean the server becomes unplayable. Examples of what I mean and what I will do: Broken bedrock will not be fixed unless it results in the game being broken (i.e. the spawn area drops everyone to the void). Similarly, bedrock that is somehow cheated in will not be destroyed unless it results in the game being broken (i.e. the spawn area is boxed in). Also, I will fix broken end portals.


    The server's address for connecting is thingies.site. This information is also available on my website. There is also a full mod list there.


    The modpack download: version 0.0.2, released 2019-03-16. Don't forget to configure your controls!

    This is for use with the Twitch launcher, or other launchers that support that format (such as MultiMC). Warning: The modpack is currently in the initial testing phase. There might be annoying bugs or game-breaking issues. Please report any problems you encounter.

    I've been getting back into doing Minecraft stuff, so I'll see about using this thread again (although university starts soon, so I might not have time).

    I've added a note: since 1.7.10 is out, I won't update things for 1.7.2.

    Edit: done. I've added a crappy config thing. From the main menu, go to Mods and choose QuickCraft in the list, then click Config. Change the number to 100 and try it on that server again. If it still doesn't work, raise the number until it does. Don't forget to make sure the C is crossed out! Download: CJB-QuickCraft-1.6.4.1_1.7.2_v2.zip

    I have tested it with Forge 10.12.0.1024 (the recommended build) and Forge 10.12.0.1047 (the latest build) on a vanilla server. I am not having the problem that you show in that video. I've read that some servers block mods like this that manipulate inventory faster than a human can, so that might be the problem. I'll try to test it on that server when I get home later today. If that is indeed the problem, I'll try giving it an option to craft slower.

    Edit: I just tried it on that server, and I experienced the same problem you did. I'll test changing the speed later.

    Edit 2: No modifications are required. Just click the button at the top-right that has a C with a red circle. The C will be crossed out (as in a no-smoking sign), and QuickCraft should work properly on that server.

    After a few hours of messing with the code, I've figured out how some of this Forge stuff works. You can download QuickCraft for 1.7.2 here: CJB-QuickCraft-1.6.4.1_1.7.2_v1.zip. Please note that I have removed its dependency on the CJB API. It wasn't really required anyway.

    It looks like Forge 1.7.2 is different from Forge 1.6.4. I don't know much about Forge, but I'll see if I can make it work.

    Damn, that's a big one. I actually didn't know that it had been updated for more recent Minecraft releases.

    It looks like this mod depends on Forge, which does not have a Release 1.7.5 version yet. I don't want to tackle that one myself, so if you want the latest (Release 1.6.2) Aether updated, it'll have to be for Release 1.7.2.

    It appears that this mod is still under active development, but it may take quite a while to see any updates from it. I'll have a look at its code and see if it's possible for me to update the current alpha faster than the fancy new beta will come out.

    Hello! I'm a guy who can modify a mod for you! I'm not good at introductions, so I'll get right to it.

    I can do the following things:
    • update an old mod to a newer version of Minecraft
    • downdate a new mod to an older version of Minecraft
    • merge a mod with another mod (if they conflict)
    • customize functionality of a mod
    Don't worry about mod size or complexity. I will tell you if I can or can't update it.

    I will not update a mod if:
    • the creator/maintainer has recently stated that they are already doing so
    • someone else has already updated it
    For downdates:
    • please check the thread's old downloads section for a pre-existing equivalent version
    • if a newer version offers functionality or bugfixes that are not in an old version, I can merge the changes backward.
    For merges:
    • I can fix class-file conflicts
    • I might not be able to fix functionality conflicts (depends on what it is)
    • if there is a functionality conflict, I can disable the offending functionality in one of the mods
    For functionality changes:
    • please do not request full mod changes such as new mobs/items/blocks/textures (ask the mod creator instead)
    • I can do bug fixes (depends on complexity of the problem)
    Notes:
    • I will not touch a mod if the creator has stated that they do not want anyone to. This does not apply if the creator has been inactive for a long time (a year or more).
    • When I say that I can do something, I mean that I might be able to do something. I am human, and my ability to change things is mod-specific.

    Examples of mod mods:

    Functionality change:
    I took this lovely xray mod and added an opacity feature to it:

    This is not public, but that's only because I'm lazy. I can upload it if someone wants it.

    Update: I updated the Manyaglyph mod from Beta 1.3_01 to Release 1.5.2. I am considering updating this mod to 1.7.2. I have also updated the inventory sorting from Convenient Inventory to 1.7.2 for my own use.

    Merges: I have done several of these for my own personal use. Sorry, I don't have any public examples to show you!

    To request:
    • supply a link to the mod(s)
    • tell me what operation you want me to perform
    • if it is an update/downdate, tell me specifically what MC version you want it updated/downdated to
    • if it is a merge where there is a functionality conflict, say what functionality you want disabled in which mod
    • alternatively, you may suggest a different way for one of the mods to function (not always possible)


    • I reserve the right to accept or deny any requests at my own discretion
    • I often have homework from school, so time is also a consideration
    • I have no set schedule, so it may take a while for me to do requests
    • Please consider the mod size and complexity when wondering why I'm taking so long
    • Do not ask me when something will be finished
    • I will not update things for 1.7.2. You should use 1.7.10 instead.
    I'll copy this here just in case you didn't already see it:
