Its funny because I can view team fortress 2 servers outside of the client, And if my friend is in a tf2 game and I m not in the client of tf2 or I don't have it launched I can join his server (Which doesn't work anyway but) When I launch tf2 I can't see any servers with "No internet games responded to the query" And I can no longer join a friends session. Also when I do shift+Tab to go and use the web browser that steam has it wont connect to the internet. Along with minecraft/dota 2 and even runescape (I don't play my little brother does). Minecraft just sits there loading news.... For ages and when I go to login it says "Cannot connect to minecraft.net" which it also says "Not downloaded" however I've downloaded/redownloaded it several times. So what I am seeing is, Java based games are not working along with the internet not getting threw to tf2. I have checked the firewall, Routers firewall, Deleted my antivirus checked windows defender and all that and nothing seems to work. I am running java 7 I believe. Me and my friend have worked on this pc for a while now trying and trying to see what we can do. Sadly He is only into 5 months of his IT Class so he knows some but not a lot.
I've got 2 other pc's (My gaming one and family browsing pc) My gaming pc is broken with the cooler and fan so I can't go on it until I fix it, Also a laptop I use for my xbox 360 which they all run minecraft/ my gaming pc ran tf2/l4d2/dota/quake all those good games without a problem. Maybe this long paragraph of giberjaber helped narrow down the problems:\
Find out what motherboard you have. Google "<your motherboard> drivers". Only trust the ones from the official website (as almost all the "free drivers for XYZ" sites are either crap or intentionally virus-ridden). Download the network one (and probably the chipset one as well just to be safe).
For example, if you have an ASROCK B75M-DGS you'd google "B75M-DGS drivers", then click the result that brings up the ASROCK site, and download the drivers there.
If for whatever reason this doesn't fix your problem, you might also check your hosts file (%WINDIR%/system32/drivers/etc/hosts). It should only have something along the lines of 127.0.0.1 localhost and probably ::1 localhost. Several antivirus programs add their own stuff as well, but if this is a new computer you should be fine with only having those two lines and your antivirus will add it's own stuff when you install it.
Thanks a ton! I will be sure to do this however this is not a "New" Pc like I stupidly stated incorrectly in the tittle, Its a new pc FOR ME, It was owned by a guy I knew but he had to sell it as hes flying somewhere to live with his mother (Yadayadayda) I'll keep you posted on how this goes. Thanks again!
People generally will advice not to get a laptop and build a pc as its cheap and laptops cost more yadadadada,
But if you need a laptop, Try getting an Asus
New customly built PC, Built by a guy I know who sold things since he was moving.
This PC hasn't been easy from the start, Right away when I got it home I ran the ethernet cable straight to the router. It didn't find the internet, Then I bought a wireless internet stick and it worked fine, So I downloaded steam and minecraft. Me and my mate who happens to be going to school for IT TECH we worked hours on this thing from disableing the firewall to deinstalling my antivirus, Resetting the router to default settings playing with the proxys upgradin/Downgrading java. I am really stuck as my other pc right across from me works perfectly.
The error for minecraft is java.net.socketexception permission denied connect which upon goggling I found install java 6/7 and uninstall the other version, I had java 6.5 or something so I deinstalled that and got java 7, No improvement. I also play team fortress 2 and I get an error upon looking for servers it says something along the lines of "Internet query didn't respond to any servers" OR It couldn't find any servers. I am puzzled and a tad angry at this thing. Maybe it's something basic I am missing or something big I am missing. Let me know if you have any idea of what might be happening. You can add me on steam @Bobmarleh.
We've been having a server, Been paying people who are professional to do the server with us, So its as best as it can be, Now we have extra money to get custom plugins, Heres what we are thinking;
- Paying by the plugin, I.E Once the plugins done and working<We pay you.
- Updating the plugin would they're be a charge everytime?
- They're will be a lot of uses into 1 plugin, Like a whole PvP plugin that does a lot of stuff, Like spawn protection adding certain aspects to it,
So thats a basic ruff draft. Thanks for your time. Its going to be a decently big plugin.

How much would it be costing?
