Wait so... Does placing and destroying blocks affect how new parts of the map will generate?

posted a message on Spawn Stones
I like the idea of spawn stones, but being able to place more that one and select from them seems a bit too unbalanced. I think placing a spawn stone should automatically destroy another if its on the map (except for the initial spawn, which should be the default for when there are no stones currently on the map). I also think the recipe should require a bit more than what you suggested. Perhaps 4 diamonds and 5 gold, in the same formation as the recipe for TNT. Or perhaps even have 4 diamond, 4 gold, and an obsidian block in the middle. In addition, once placed, spawn stones shouldn't be recollectable, so once you destroy one, you have to make another.

I know this may seem excessive, but I don't think spawn stones should be something you just throw around carelessly. You should have to consider their placement very carefully once you acquire one.

posted a message on What sort of update do you want next?
I'm sort of curious as to what aspects of the game you most want to see built upon. I know that a multitude of the gameplay aspects listed below are often included in the same update, but lets say that the next update would have only one of these. Which would you want to see?

My storage room has solid gold floors with a diamond block "$" sculpture in the middle of it.

I'm somewhat skeptical. Could you post pics?

How about instead of having only one way out, you could make the whole outer wall of the world made of a special kind of portal block force field, so that you can exit at any edge, and appear on that particular side of the block in the overworld. Or perhaps just have four portal blocks within the pocket dimension, one on each side.

If that was the case, we wouldn't need special input and output blocks. We could just use existing exits.

posted a message on Need some help with hypercam
I want to do a let's play of Minecraft, but I can't figure out how to get hypercam to record from the mic and from the game simultaneously. I can only get it to do one or the other, but not both.

Is there anything I can do with hypercam or my computer settings so that it will record both at once?

The thing is that it's so costly to make that even the 10 hearts is far from worth it. I know some will disagree, but I feel surrounding the apple with 8 ingots rather than blocks should be the recipe.

You could always blackmail the mammal to get it back. He probably punched the CEO to a corporation in the ear at one point. You just have to find the photograph the balloon took, and you'll have all the leverage you need.

posted a message on Telephone pictionary
Just as the title says, it's like a mix of telephone and pictionary. No sign ups necessary. This is an open game

    Here's how you play:

    1. The first person to post (that would be me) will post a sentence in spoiler tags. Any sentence will do.

    2. The next person to post will draw a picture of what the sentence described and post it, also in spoiler tags.

    3. The next poster will look at ONLY the entry of the last person to post, and not the original sentence, and type out their interpretation of the picture.

    4. The poster after that will do a drawing of the text in the last post without looking at anyone else's entry.

    5. This continues until there there are 15 entries. Once this occurs, a new round starts with the next poster, and everyone is allowed to read the posts of round one, and laugh at how much the original concept has changed. Players may optionally edit their posts to remove the spoiler tags.

    6. If someone wants to make more than one entry in the same round, they must wait until there are at least 4 posts after their initial post, and even then, its not recommended.

Alright then. Lets begin, shall we?
