    I'm not one for bumping threads but since it's my own, I figured I'd make an exception.

    For those interested (I've gotten a million PMs it seems): I'm not maintaining the project anymore so the software is "AS-IS" without the latest fixes from any of the libraries (e.g: webkit, trident and blink). Last update for all of them is 2012.12.24. I will dig through my stuff later to find a working build of Carbon and upload it for those who want to give it a run.

    Why not complete it? On to bigger and better things now :)

    I'll keep you updated I suppose.

    SimpleCraft:
    If you're looking for a simple server with grief logging and rollback and are looking to just survive on your own with meeting occasional friends, this is your server. This server is dedicated and 24/7 without a whitelist. However, a whitelist may be necessary to perform emergency maintenance.

    If you plan on joining, here are some simple rules to abide by:
    • No cheating

    • No Griefing

    • Do not intrude and ALWAYS ASK before building near a potential new neighbour!

    • Do not exploit vulnerabilities or use injection tools to negatively influence other players. In fact, they're entirely prohibited.

    • Notify the administrators in game via "/helpop" of any vulnerabilities.

    • Do not ask for creative or blocks. This is a survival server.

    • Lava & TNT/fire methods is a definite prohibition. In fact, the server will kick, tempban (increasing in length) and eventually permanently ban you.
    Note:
    This server uses WorldGuard. If you would like an area protected, please notify an administrator using /helpop. We'll gladly protect an area of land for you.

    • Server Hardware: X-Type XENON, THROTTLED to 2gb DDR3, 1.2GHz underclock.
    • Plugins: LOGBLOCK, GUARDIAN, VAUTH, GROUPMANAGER, WORLDEDIT, ESSENTIALS (ALL), ANTI-CHEAT, GEO_IP, ECONOMY, LOCKETTE,
    • WORLDGUARD, WATCHDOG, AUTO-ADMINISTRATOR, MAC-ADDRESS-BAN
    • Owner/Admins/Moderators: iTippy, iSinergy, iDeagles
    You'll be required to /login <pass> or /register <pass> <confirm_pass> to play!

    New?
    Type /warp new to be taken to a building location. Build farther away from the initial warp spawn!

    Android version in the works. Stay tuned to this post for more info.

    EDIT:
    Successfully ported all of my engine into the Android OS. Here's an example of it in action (it's minimal but proof):

    Plan on reconstructing some basic features throughout the week.

    Just to let you know that heading to just http://www.projectcarbon.org in FireFox brings up a grey page with info text about Carbon. That would be fine, however, the 'test drive carbon' link redirects to javascript:null; in the browser, producing a page with null on it.

    Fixed. Non-supported browsers are taken directly to the site.

    http://encrypted.google.com is used by many firms in the US and Canada. We use encrypted.google.com. As an IT guy, your typical SSL://google.ca/ will stop eavesdropping but still allow handshakes and tracking through other Google services. The encrypted URL however, won't handshake and pass a one-way-to-google encryption string to be decrypted at the time of search to prevent any kind of monitoring of your searches.

    ALSO:

    There is a version of my app floating around some pretty shady sites. ONLY DOWNLOAD THE LATEST BUILD FROM PROJECTCARBON.ORG. I've had numerous reports of rogue sites modifying my code.

    If you have a copy of my software from http://www.hackinggo...o-style-browser , DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY and install the latest version from www.projectcarbon.org . If you haven't downloaded it yet and you are directed to that site, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT.

    HackingGods, or any other site have no affiliation with the project and none of my developmental team are registered elsewhere but here.

    DropBox does have a size limit though, so it would only be prolonging the inevitable, not actually solving the solution.

    Its also nice, and more trustworthy having the download link to the actual site, rather than an external one. Take a look at this example:
    hxxp://download.myproject.url/myProject.zip
    Is more trustworthy and looks nicer than
    hxxp://download.somerandomsite.url/7ddf32e17a6ac5ce04a8ecbf782ca509/myProject.zip or bHz1P.zip

    This.

    The newest developmental build runs on XML parsing. While there might not be much of a visual improvement (change, really), everything under the hood has been rewritten for stability (and.. :o TOUCHSCREEN SUPPORT?).

    I have it locally hosted on a slave server because the newest build allows hotfixing without having to download an update. A simple server-side XML change and the application knows exactly what to do to work properly (and updated). Whether that be a patch or a title update.

    I'll work on the UI after I release the next developmental build.

    It's still being worked on, I believe.

    Yes. Still being worked on. I've done a huge overhaul with an office team of 6. The build you see on the site is completely different from the BETA build being pushed very soon. I've stripped the Windows references for legal reasons and I might even push an update sooner than scheduled because of that very issue.

    Carbon's becoming a bit more popular with over 4000 downloads in less than 3 months. With that being said, it's becoming a tad expensive when it comes to bandwidth, since a lot of it is cloud based. There are advertisements on the site and I ask only that you click them if they interest you because it helps fund the project.

    You can use the BUG REPORT tool in the current version of Carbon to suggest ideas as well.

    I'll check back here periodically for your ideas and suggestions. The project hasn't been abandoned.

    Again, this has nothing to do with clicking. It could be a redirect on a background object you don't even see.

    The same thing went with the Galaxy S3 prior to patching. You were able to remotely wipe the phone using the dial:// prefix and redirect in a frame, etc by dialing the WIPE code.

    posted a message on [WIP] Reddit Desktop Compainion
    I know Reddit is easily accessible from the web but there are a few circumstances where a small, minimal application that displays the top links is acceptable.

    I'm not quite finished with it because I'm toying around with my own API system that likes to poll random things for no reason at the moment.

    However, this is what the last working copy looked like and I expect it to look similar when finished.

    What would your opinion on the design and 'useful-ness' be?

    For those wondering how to poll data effectively from another site, to your own server, to your application, here's a little push along the way:

    ########## C SHARP ##########
    private void doPing()
    	 {
    		 if (cache == title.Text)
    		 {
    			 setCacheFlag = true;
    		 }
    		 // get content from Reddit raw!
    			 WebClient client = new WebClient();
    String titles = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key+"&method=1");

    String comlink = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key + "&method=2");

    String upvotes = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key + "&method=3");

    String downvotes = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key + "&method=4");

    String link = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key + "&method=5");

    String subredditz = client.DownloadString("http://rdata.minechat.net/getfeed.php?key=" + db.Default.key + "&method=6");

    		 comCache = comlink;
    		 UpdateText(title, titles);
    		 UpdateText(weburl, link);
    		 UpdateText(dvotes, downvotes);
    		 UpdateText(uvotes, upvotes);
    		 UpdateText(subreddit, "/r/"+subredditz);
    		 setFlag = true;
    		 cache = title.Text;
    	 }

    Note that this server attempts to stop spamming and griefing with verification systems. If you're still interested, continue reading.
    After some reconsideration and a re-evaluation of the hardware we have available, we've added a Minecraft Server to our network.

    A few things before connecting:
    You need to be registered and verified on www.minechat.net. In greater detail, you need to register yourself. After you've registered, log in to your account and select "Verify Minecraft" in the top right of the screen. Log in with your Minecraft details to verify that you own the account. We do not store this information. It simply polls the Minecraft website to check if the combined u/p combination is correct. If it is, you will be in the whitelist pending pool. Every 2 hours, the cache system expires and forces a recheck of our member list. If your forum username has a verified Minecraft account associated with it, it will automatically add you to the whitelist and you will be able to log in.

    Connection information:
    m.minechat.net

    Availability
    The Minecraft server will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (with the exception of planned and unplanned maintenance schedules).

    If you have any questions, PM me on Minechat.net.
