Hey, I'm using the 1.2.1 release for MC 1.10.2 and this is crashing the server on boot. Looks like the server is trying to look for a chatformatting function that's only in the client version:

Thank you for reporting this! This will be fixed in the next release of Gender.

Was the Cynthia model removed? Whenever I change the model from Stephanie to something else the only thing is (none), and it gets stuck on that so I have to delete it and then recreate it. Also I disabled names in chat, name colors, and sounds but they all got re enabled but they aren't enabled in the config file so I can't disable them again. Please help.

Server Override means that your client will ignore any settings it has saved. This means it strictly uses settings from the server.

Server Override has nothing to do with player skins.

In order to find out why you cannot see your own http://mojang.net/profile skin, I need some information.

If you cannot see your skin, please do the following:
    1. Make sure you can see your skin on VANILLA (no forge & no mods & no resource packs)
    2. Verify that you can also see your skin with all the resource packs and mods that you have installed - except gender
    3. Either:
    - Send me a screenshot of the Information GUI (Press the "G" key then click on the book button)
    OR
    - Send me the version of Minecraft, Forge and Gender you are using

Sending me this information will help me identify potential causes or complications with other mods.

I'm assuming this is for the 2 layer skins? I'm asking bc I don't want to take the chance of breaking the MPM compatibility just to revert back to 1.0.5

No, in this case, Player Setting Code is a rewrite of the code that manages the settings for each username.

Thank you for creating this mod!

    I
have one problem though, only one of my skins has shown in the mod and I
had no incompatible mods. It's a little weird when I look at myself in
1st person view and I don't have my ocean princess skin and instead I
    get defaults.

I've been trying to figure out why some people have problems with skins in 1.8

Does it happen with specific skins or just all the time?

thank you but i found them already. i changed the resource pack im using zombie and zombie child to be the zombie zombie male and zombie male child but the alternate zombie skins in the pack do not show up as far as i can tell.

i spawned a bunch of zombies in (and even a child one lol) and they all looked like default resource pack zombies and villager zombie and child zombie. which is good they didnt look like regular vanilla zombies but was hoping it would use the alternate textures in the pack. at the least atleast they dont look like vanilla zombies anymore lol

although im occasionally getting a ticking error crash involving zombies and the only mod i have that effects zombies is this one so would be nice if i could find out how to just remove it completely from the mod

In Gender 1.1.0, the default male textures have been switched back to Minecraft's original locations. Because of this, with Gender 1.1.0, you should see the random textures again.

For me, yes, however, if I put on one type of chest plate and a different type of boots (say a diamond chest plate and leather boots) my avatars boobs will match my boots not my chest plate. Can this be fixed?

P.S. I'm using Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1558-1.7.10 and LiteLoader1.7.10-04 and it does it even with out any other mods in and Gender 1.0.2.

This is an issue with the current way model effects are being applied in Gender's code.

I'm currently working on the next version of Gender; Which has a new way of applying the model effects and eliminates this weirdness.

Please install Gender version 1.1.0 for Minecraft 1.8

If it crashes in the same way when using 1.1.0, please provide me with a crash report so I can take a look.

My current goal is to fix the armor rendering bugs. There may be a new way to apply Gender's models. Hopefully this new part of the Mojang code works the way I need it to.

My resource pack has (as many do) a custom zombie skin. This mod, however, has it's own textures for zombies (male and female, clearly) which don't fit in with the rest of the world now because they're the default texture. I suppose that it makes sense to do it this way because most resource packs don't have a female zombie texture, but I'm just wondering if there was another specific reason as for why it was done like this.

That is to say, would I break the thing by trying to replace the default male/female zombie textures from this mod with with custom ones?

Yes, I had moved the zombie texture to /assets/gender because it looked weird to me. It was a strange sight to see a custom textured male zombie standing next to a female one.

    Quote from mezzodrinker»

I don't know why anything about this mod was done as it is because I'm not part of the development team (which only includes iPixeli, as far as I know).

I guess you wouldn't break the mod if you replaced the textures.

No, I don't think you would break anything... Accoridng to the Minecraft Wiki, (which now appears to officially be provided by gamepedia), you just need the same folder structure in your resource pack.

    Texture locations right now:
    assets/gender/texture/zombiefemale.png
    assets/gender/texture/zombiemale.png

I'm thinking of changing this in the next version of gender

can someone tell me what the Debug option does??

Debug prints a lot of things to the console.

It's only really useful for me so I can see if things are being called properly when help is needed.

What version of Forge are you using?

What version of Gender are you using?

If you are using Gender 1.0.3 or later, please press 'G' (default
key) to open the Gender menu. Then click on the book icon on the bottom
right of the screen. This will bring you to a screen that has
    information helpful for troubleshooting.

When sending me a message, you may also want to list the mods you have installed as one of them could be causing the problem.
