    Welcome back to TheiKings "Daily" Report everyone. Today is April 1st 2017 which means that it has been 5 years, 4 months, and 9 days give or take since DWCM was announced. Oh, also we are now in Open Alpha which means....you can download The iKingsSGC Hub & Doctor Who Client Mod!

    After many years of dedication & an almost unbearable amount of failed release dates we are FINALLY ready for you to being testing DWCM as it enters it's Open Alpha phase of development on today, April 1st 2017. Over the years we have reached many points where we thought we were ready for an open release only to discover that there was a game breaking problem that we needed to address. This is not one of those times!

    Last year I shared the comprehensive Stages of Release - 2016 Update with the iKingsSGC & Mod Division community. A week before that I totally revamped the entire look and feel of the iKingsSGC. All of this was an attempt to get ready for today, April 1st 2017.

    The last few months have been particularly trying for not only myself but the entire team. After isteinvids and I decided that today, April 1st 2017, would be our deadline we doubled down on our attempts to make the April First deadline a reality. Lack of time due to real life responsibilities was major hindrance and some of us were forced to work on development assignments that we loathed. We pushed through all those obstetrical because we wanted to get this labor of love out to the public, albeit without the vast majority of incomplete features that have been shown over the years.

    It is extremely important to keep in mind that DWCM Open Alpha is NOT IN ANY WAY a finished product. Open Alpha is comprised of as much completed and stable features as we could safely fit in without compromising play-ability or the user-experience. We understand that as of today, April 1st 2017, it has been several years since we announced this project and many of you will be expecting a grand complete masterpiece. DWCM has been re-written from the ground up several times after being decimated by updating to current versions of minecraft. The decision was made to leave out unstable, incomplete or just plain ugly features to make the user experience a favorable one. Many of these features remain in the Closed Alpha version and will continue to be fixed or redone. Many mobs will be getting complete model updates. We also made the decision to remove several work in progress planets that we are not ready to reveal yet. There will be some incomplete planets in the alpha that you can travel to The Grim is one of the most complete.

    Now that disclaimer is out of the way let's discuss what IS in DWCM Open Alpha. Basically Open Alpha is everything you could possibly hope to get out of a TARDIS in Minecraft. Every core TARDIS feature you are expecting and even quite a few that you're not like the TARDIS Artron Power System (T.A.P.S) is in the Alpha. Basically DWCM Open Alpha is exactly the Doctor Who Experience you have been wanting from us in Minecraft, just with a few of the things you've seen over the years still in testing. Everything you will want to test like TARDIS Flight, Time & Space Travel, Bigger on the Inside TARDIS, The Time Vortex, Physics, Sonic Screwdrivers, Chameleon Circuits, TARDIS Desktops, Modeled Console Rooms & Cutscenes & the beginnings of a story system are all in game. Oh and did I mention that there the Official DWCM soundtrack volumes 1 & 2 are in game as well!

    Now let's talk about how you can finally get to play DWCM starting today, April 1st! Installing the Doctor Who Client Mod on Mac OSX, Windows & Linux is extremely easy. Here are the steps you will need to take


    • Head on over to http://www.Hub.iKingsSGC.com
    • Click Download and wait for it to finish
    • Open The iKingsSGC Hub file & wait for it to install.
    • Once The Hub opens you need to log in. Enter in your Minecraft account details and click play, this will unlock access to the DWCM Open Alpha for your account.
    • There are two ways you can select a mod to play. Either in the login bar you can click the text that says select version or you can directly goto the Mod's Tab. In this case when the Mods section opens you will see a few options. One will be the DWCM banner & the other will be if you want to intall vanilla minecraft. Eventually there will be a wide variety of mods you can select from this list.
    • To play DWCM you would click the DWCM Banner & you will see the Open Alpha graphic, click that. (Closed Alpha Testers & Mod Division Staff have additional versions to choose from. These are hidden from anyone without access to these versions.)
    • Once back on the main page you will simply click Play again & The Hub will bring up a graphic of everything that it is installing!

    That's not a...uhhh....not actually a feature yknow. That's just what happens when you don't own the game you want to play....you can't...um how do you say...play it. That's just law, not a feature on our part.

    The Doctor Who Client Mod features the worlds first full functioning T.A.R.D.I.S in Minecraft complete with being able to see the interior from the exterior & vice versa, Translocation System (Travel based on coordinates), as well as the ability to travel to many planets and time eras through the Time Vortex and more!

    Imagine a universe in which you are the 2100 year old Time Lord known as, The Doctor. Imagine You had the ability to travel to new planets, Now imagine that you weren't imagining this. You are The Doctor, you have a Type 40 T.A.R.D.I.S that you call Sexy, and you are able to travel to and explore an untold number of worlds, taking on quests to save those worlds in this exciting sandbox game with story elements built into Minecraft!

    What does Sandbox/Story Gameplay Hybrid Mean?
    The Doctor Who Client Mod gameplay is unlike anything you may have played in Minecraft in the past. The DWCM has what we have called a sandbox-story hybrid gameplay hybrid. What this means is that while the DWCM has a storyline incorporated with the gameplay it is in the background. It exists but you do not have to always participate in it, the gameplay you are used to with vanilla minecraft still exists, you can still build, mine and free roam. The story just adds another level to the game that adds an OPTIONAL way to enhance your gameplay. With the story comes actual cutscenes rendered in blender and maya as well as a narrative. Take a listen to what the cutscene animation that plays when creating a new game-save (map) will be like (or read it if that is your thing.)
    NOTE: Open Alpha will not have the full storyline implimented. Only the first scene in the story will be included in the first public release.

    The Doctor Who Client Mod is currently in Open AlphaD evelopment Phase which means that it has been released for download to the public for testing.
    To understand this project and its content, it is recommended to read the entire post. Any questions asked about anything that has been discussed in this post may not be responded to.     kind of hard to donate to something we've only experienced videos and forum posts of. I know developing this is hard but if your seeking donations for a project then you really should be giving something interactable to the community.

    Hence the reason why we don't push our patreon campaign or our donation button on t he iKingsSGC Forums hard. However with the servers launching & ....other things I am going to be revamping the campaign page soon.

    100% Working In-Game Minecraft Cutscenes! - #DWCM #iMine4WHO [NewsFLASH]

    Welcome to NewsFLASH people of the Tau'ri! NewsFLASH is what the name implies. News...in Flash. Normally I will try to introduce or show a feature, update, interesting bit of news about anything we do as quickly as possible. Short threads and short videos will let me show more content without needing to record audio for each and everyone.

    In this NewsFLASH a we demo the brand new Fully In-Game Cutscene System!

    Well it has been ages hasn't it! Despite that I am not going to write much about this because it is fairly self explanatory if you watch the video. The video which demonstrates the brand new way cutscenes are being handled in Doctor Who Client Mod. Many of you will notice that it plays completely 100% inside of the game window.....and that's because it does. This new system totally DESTROYS all of our previous cutscene systems and I love it so much.

    Right. So before you get started with the video, just a few things. Yes, iKingsSGC has a new look. Yes, the in game audio is a bit weird (you can thank Camtasia and the fact that fraps doesn't record win 10 desktop yet.) Yes, I edited out about 3.5/4ths of the cutscene.....because....well we can't let you see the full thing before you play the game. I should also point out that the version of the opening cutscene in this video is the old outdated version. I have since refined the opening intro sequence.

    So yeah, 12 Days didn't finish, get over it.

    Today In this verbal-less iKing's "Daily" Report I am going to show off a few thigns I meant to show the last few weeks but because for whatever reason....I didn't!


    So first of all let's discuss the long awaited addition to TARDIS Flight, Idle Hover Flight Rotation! So having the TARDIS not spin while idly hovering has always bothered me.....so sometime in the last month we added it.

    We also have improved the Dimensional Doors to allow for a full 360 view further accommodation the hovering rotation. We feel this allows for a more immersive TARDIS experience.

    We have also been making efforts to further bring DWCM into the land of multiplayer compatibility. I wont go into great detail about that because that will be a whole separate thread/video.

    So yeah this thread was rushed due to the indepth thread being....lost due to weather reasons. If you have any questions PLEASE ASK!

    The 12 Days of Christmas in Relative Dimensions are back and what better way to start them off with the return of the Ghetto TARDIS Cheat Code and the debut of the new Ghetto TARDIS theme! Prepare your eyes and ears because its about to drop real.....yeah I have no clue what the dubstep term is for ...stuff.

    It's that time of year again. Of Course I am referring to the time of year where the forums regenerate into a red and green bundle of festive.......joy? Of course it also means that its the time of year where something bad happens to try and derail a consecutive 12 days of amazing reveals, so yeah lets enjoy the FULL 12 Days of Christmas in Relative Dimensions this year!.

    Speaking of reveals, today the freaking GHETTO TARDIS MAKES ITS RETURN and it has an all new musical track accompanying it from the Doctor Who Client Mod Soundtrack: Volume 1!

    Yes, Ghetto TARDIS makes its long awaited return into the DWCM after what seems like an eternity without it. So you may notice that it looks a "little" different than it used to and that is down to the fact that it hasn't been fully completed. So before you all poke fun at what is wrong with it, i'll just beat you to the punch. The smoke is in the wrong place. It should be at the bottom of the tardis, not in the center (though we may have done that as part of a TARDIS damage system as well....or we may not have...you wont know till we say so :D.) We would also like to get a bit more wibbly wobbly with the bouncing but since this is just a novelty feature, its not priority.

    Those of you who have seen Ghetto TARDIS in the past will notice a key difference in the current iteration of the mode, THE MUSIC! Yes the Ghetto TARDIS now has its own proper original theme composed by our amazing team musician Connor Hickling. When we were going over this track we actually ended up with 2 or 3 versions that are all distinctly clever and unique with one of the other tracks making it onto the soundtrack as Docstep the Client Mod. However this post isnt about DocStep, this is about FREAKING GHETTO TARDIS and as such lets discuss this theme. I love everything about this track and I hope that you do. The name of this track is.....GhetTo The TARDIS!
