I have a survival multiplayer server. My friend and I found some melon seeds, put them in a chest, and dug out a farm area. When we came back they were gone.
Oh well, I said. I spawned some melon seeds and put them in the chest while we went on an adventure in a cave. We come back to find, once again, our melon seeds are gone.
By this point another friend already had a melon farm and he gave us some seeds. We thought nothing more of it until today when we come back to our chest to find all 23 diamonds gone. Every single one.
These are only items I've noticed; who knows how many other items have disappeared? I'm probably going to end up spawning the diamonds back, but I don't like doing this. I was reluctant to do so with the melon seeds, but decided since they were destroyed by a glitch it would be fine. I want to find out if anyone else has experienced this, as theft is a possibility. But before you just post "they were stolen," please look at your chests, and see if anything is gone.
Hello. I tried searching for a mod like this, and I couldn't find one. Apologies if it exists.
I'm looking for a mod that adds a flashlight that acts like the one in Half Life 2. It wouldn't be an item or anything, just something that can always be toggled by pressing F. It may or may not have a battery like in Half Life 2, that part doesn't matter to me. I do want it to make the sound of the flashlight in Half Life 2 though if possible.
Here's a video of the flashlight in-game:
And here's a video of out it might look in minecraft, maybe less intense:
I, not having used any of he snapshots, was previously unaware of the changes you've made to emeralds over there a Mojang. Having read the wiki article about them, I was... let's say displeased. You've made emeralds, the key ingrediant of the trading system to rare. I say you return them as they were the moment they turned green.
*facepalm* The seed is always going to be the same but the generators changed in minecrafts developement. Thats why Glacier Gargamel etc dont work anymore.
Thank you for the reply and link I downgraded to 1.7.3 and the structure was there but is it not possible to generate the same world in 1.2.5 with the new structures?
Nope, because the way terrain is generated has changed massively since 1.7.3. If you want the newer generated items since then, there may be a mod that does that, but I can't find one. I'll edit this post if I do. You can always switch back to 1.2.5 after generating that and structure will still be there.
The seed is the same, but if you try to regenerate it in 1.2, you'll get different terrain. Try using McNostalgia to downgrade to the version you created the world in. Before doing that, delete everything in that world file other than level.dat. Then rename the folder something like "World 1" (I don't remember what update added more worlds than that, so this is just to be safe). Then pick World 1 in the menu, and it should, from my understanding, generate the old terrain.
Ahh, I see. Okay. & I'm guessing because of the sound?
We should get together sometime on vanilla. See if we could get a good world going.
Yeah, I hate the sounds they make. The first time I heard it I realized what a mistake I had made putting it in the middle of my house. This was back in my old Alpha world, and I had no idea how to go about disabling it. It effectively forced me to move out of that house.
That's a nice place. Also, where's your nether portal & diamond pickaxe? .
Diamond pickaxe is stored in a chest. The nether portal is down a hole in the main room, shown in the first screenshot. I always deactivate it by placing a water source block on it if I'm not going to the nether, though.
Do you use a mob elavator for the skeleton grinder? Just wondering
Yeah, It lifts them up, then drops them down behind the glass block. The design I use is supposed to make it so that they die in one punch, but for some reason mine is messed up. Some die when they land, and the ones that don't require two punches. The passage is two blocks tall, so they can't be jumping higher. I've tried fixing it, but it's too dangerous for me, and it doesn't help that I don't know the cause.
Found a cave, found a mob spawner. Turned it into an XP farm, & made my house there. Ended up finding 10 diamonds, made a sword and pickaxe, full iron, 3 stacks of iron, and I'm about to get a level 50 enchantment on my sword/pickaxe. Not sure which one.
Full double chest of Bow (Power 1) and bones and arrows.
Best world.
My current singleplayer world is pretty similar:
This was the cave I chose to use. I was inspired to create it when my friend converted a cave on my server into his house.
This is the first skeleton spawner I found. I hadn't expected to have been this lucky, and quickly turned it into an xp farm.
This is the enchanting area, conveniently located above the exp farm.
This is another skeleton spawner I found. It's on the other side of the cave, and they're not close enough to combine. I don't know what to do with this one.
This image shows what I've done to branch out to the surface. Visible is a tower and bridge, both built and designed by me (though exceedingly simple, I'm sure others have come up with them) and part of an X-Light 9000, not designed by me.
Actually, I tried it with blazes and they shot me just fine.
This will happen with skeletons as well - I tried using this method as a window for my skeleton spawner. I thought they wouldn't be able to see me, but they were, and worse, they were able to shoot me though it.
I don't get it, Why does Modern stuff ruin Minecraft?.
Should I remind them that modern city looks good in Minecraft? We should ban swords, bow and arrow because those primitive weapons look nowhere good in a modern era.
It's not a question of aesthetics, but of balance and believability.

Just sell stuff to the villagers to get emeralds.

According to you.
Electric creepers is just as much a valid name.

Edit: Er, I mean, can you move in tall grass grown with bonemeal?

I fail to see why this warrants a facepalm.

We could try.
