Aww yeah. My friend can rediscover Vortex and wipe away another base!

Idfix Minus is probably the greatest thing next to the console for me when making modpacks.

Through just a simple game startup, what would have taken close to an hour in discovering horrific crafting recipes and finding duplicate numbers in over 100 configs has been saved.

I found out the issue. The cacerts file in the openjdk was for some reason nearly empty. I copied the cacerts from Windows on the failing HDD and pasted it into /etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts after seeing a symblink in one of the java directories was broken.

Everything works

Recently, the hard drive in my terrible Windows Vista tower lost the ability to boot. I have been using Puppy Linux off of a CD in the mean time. I was hoping to play Minecraft for a while now, so I installed openjdk-7-jre_7u25-2.3.10 from the ubuntu-precise-universe repo. After downloading everything, I was ready to play. And of course something goes wrong:

Before you say "oh update java hurr durr," I can't because update 25 is the latest I can install. It looks like Mojang messed up with the trustAnchors parameter in a secure download function, but that wouldn't make sense as Minecraft has successfully downloaded its files time and time again on a Windows Vista tower, Windows 7 laptop, and Ubuntu 13.10 laptop.

Do I need to download the files manually or what? I don't know exactly where everything is set up in ~/.minecraft.

*sigh* I should almost give up. What is the point of bumping my post to get at least some attention when quickly-made parkour maps that are just endless streams of blocks get a lot more attention than a map that is actually cared for by the author?

Also, I need ideas for 0.8.3 or 0.9. Help?

Yes, even though the last update for the map was intended for 1.4.7. It still works today

Version 0.8.2 is out! I finished the lava area that I lazily started in 0.8.1.

To get to the portal you'll probably need one of the 216 Fire Protection X Golden Chestplates on top of the first Nether Spiral

I've been thinking about requesting a map review but the thing is I don't know when I should call the map complete. Obviously it isn't right now (look at the version number).

Also, 0.8 will be uploaded either tonight or tomorrow. The new area is probably going to be very rough and some of the jumps probably are not very obvious

Yes, I know how ender chests work. I just put it there because there because otherwise the room would feel kind of empty, as it would be the only other wall that has stuff. Should I put something else there instead? I can do a quick 0.6.1 if I need to
