Nov 11, 2011htmlcoderexe posted a message on 1.9 Pre-Release 6 Is Out!And yet the bug when if the game lags, you place two blocks at once (and it lag spikes and kinda freezes at that point) isn't fixed. Especially annoying with obsidian or glass. No, I know I should stop playing Minecraft on a toaster. It does that sometimes only, though.Posted in: News

Wikipedia:
Also, I don't remember anyone suggesting helicopters, either. That would be funny actually, imagine a huge military 'copter (of the "flying banana" variety) dropping creepers on you (and skeletons shooting from inside)! The helicopter would also have machine guns, lazers and a special scanner nuke which you get if you beat it (it kills all mobs in all loaded chunks, bringing their drops to you, as well as mines and smelts all the ores). Just like helicopters, they don't belong to Fixed Wing Aircraft.

True. There were some military projects about making a plane with no engine, attach it to a larger plane, fly it high up, then let it glide down. Another project involved a tank with wings. I am not sure if these are classified as planes, though, but unless the definition of the word plane stands for a FWA with an engine, we may find something that has no engine but is still a plane.
...Then again, they say, "Attach an engine and a propeller, and even your backyard gate would fly".

Lol. Thanks.
About the block groups, though, *cough*runecraft*cough*. Also portals (in vanilla). Build a plane like he said, right click and the blocks get replaced with a plane entity. Fully doable, but it is like all the other plane suggestions. Somebody should really make a thread about NOT suggesting planes, guns and cars, and then sticky it. (Pin?)

A glider.

That would be awesome. No, really. You know why there's no creeper dungeon? Think "explosions" and "blocks".

Didn't you say - you don't mean planes with engines?

Right, it's four. It's rails you get sixteen of. Forgot that, haven't crafted arrows in a while, as I either idled in a mob grinder or walked around in the morning to get arrows. While getting a lot of arrows from a dungeon killtrap won't take too much work, finding one would be more work worth. I don't need the bow that much; I have a diamond sword and have good enough strafing skills (and a pit here and there). I don't wear armour, so any damage can be repaired in seconds with some bread or pork.
I'm not saying skeleton dungeons are useless (all dungeons are good), nor am I saying it's the least useful (that honour goes to zombies). However, in my personal opinion, spider dungeons are more useful, especially given that spiders are somewhat rarer (I might've just been unlucky).
Hey, I've got a stupid idea. Craft 8 arrows into one that's twice as large. Craft 8 of these into an even larger one. Repeat until you have one that is so huge you can go around and stab stuff with it (or launch it with a ballista). Derpmachinegunderplazorderpflyingcarderp.

They require bows to be crafted, and are the only reason to get more and more string. Often, it takes me less time to get one flint and one feather to get 16 arrows than to kill on average 8 skeletons. Bone's important enough, but as skellies tend to die a lot in the morning, and wolves don't show up every day, I'll have enough bones to tame a pack when it arrives. Although wolves have an annoying habit of showing up on the first or second day...

* Taking longer to slow down (think momentum).
* Requiring more gradual slope if pushed by a Powered Minecart.
* * If Golden Powered Minecarts are implemented, this applies to them as well
* Gaining speed faster if travelling downhill (though not much faster, as it's a matter of air resistance and friction)
* Taking longer to speed up (may not apply with Powered Rails, they're "magic")
Extra properties, either not essential or not important:
* Being easier to break (doesn't really affect anything gameplay-wise)
* Breaking or derailing on a hairpin turn with sufficient speed (or/and a turn right after a downward slope)
* Requiring rails laid on durable blocks like stone (not sand or dirt; think "sinking in due to weight")
* Breaking on derail
* Breaking on a drop (as well as damaging the player even on a two-high drop)
Overall, I actually like this idea.
