I haven't been able to find a reference for WHERE the bulk of Minecraft players live but I suspect that the highest concentrations are in North America and Europe.
That being said, conventions are held in venues that:
1. Have adequate facilities for the size of the event. ie hotels, restaurants, meeting halls, etc.
2. And most importantly, are close to, and inexpensive to travel to, by the most people in the target population.
So, even though many of us would love to visit Australia, I doubt seriously any major events will occur there except for ones that need some feature that is specific to the continent. (surfing comes to mind).

it is a great server host for your minecraft server and it has no lag and all of you out there that say there bad they are awesome! so don't go thinking there horrible which i see a lot if you are like that why don't you actually try it and it will have high quality and the prises maybe high but it does nothing there hosting is great so try it if you don't believe me
