just save your current minecraft.jar, stick it in a safe folder, let minecraft update, replace the new jar with your old one and you can keep playing with all your mods until they all get updated to the newest version. Most of the updates don't add a whole lot of new content for SSP anyways, so just play with your old .jar till everything settles to the new version.
im not sure about the obsidian... it's too orderly tiled to be obsidian (real obsidian has crack patterns and grows in more rock/crystal-like shapes, sorta like emerald but less orderly)
soooo... I just tried your mod on an already heavily modded minecraft.jar and I still got it to work fine with some minor problems... your mi.class for some reason messes with the graphics for half of the items from other mods for some reason (I don't do java, I can't tell why)... The behavior of the animal is right, wolf attacks you at night, lion attacks you when close, bear attacks when provoked... that's all working fine even on a heavily modded minecraft.jar... it's just the graphics being messed up :<... after that's fixed your mod will be perfect @_@
• The doors look quite true to the actual Doku Doors
• I'm happy to say looks the pocket watch very very Doku.
• Flint and Coal are recognizably different, as is the pack I use.
• All the "Dust" sprites have a good amount of detail and shading. Huge props on that.
• (Edit) Just noticed the the book has plenty of nice details :smile.gif: /applause.
The only thing I can really say anything about the preview:
I prefer the old squarish Diamond, but if anything, I'll just modify them for my own private use, as this is just my silly opinion.
Good luck on the Tools however, I've found that doing anything with them with my limited spriting capabilities is a pain the ars. I gave up on my own 32x32 item pack a few nights ago as these proved to break my patience meter...
Best of Luck to you sir!
thank you. My problem with the old diamond shape was... well, the shape :|... I did some research on diamonds and diamond doesn't quite form in that shape, nor there's an actual diamond cut in that shape... and it didn't symbolize diamond to me at all... what I drew might have not been the best solution but at least it says diamond right away
Here is my rendition of 32x32 items for Minecraft. They are intended to match go with a Remixed Doku pack (specifically one mixed by me). In the future, I plan on making the actual 3D counterparts for the armor sprites, as well as mob textures, custom GUI and items sprites and textures from many different mods. I made a little poll to see what people want me to do more work on ealier.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Right click HERE.
2. Select save as and save it as items.png somewhere in your hard drive
3. Locate your minecraft.jar and open it with WinRAR or Win7.
4. Drag the items.png you just saved into the minecraft.jar file.
OR.
Stick it in the .zip or .rar file of your current texture pack and install it with Xau's HD patcher.
I support this.. I still want clouds in the game, just higher than the highest building point.. there was a mod that did this before but it's outdated...

I will eventually but only very slightly. And yes, the diamond tools are next.
That's next on the list :tongue.gif:
Yeah, I'm not too happy with the bow either. I'm using photoshop.
Thank you everyone for your comments. I'll keep you updated when I make more progress
